Oh and I forgot to say in my previous post..
Im not saying that Beckham made the whole audience and team BIG..but he sure as hell had a huge impact on it. I mean he's David Beckham..people who haven't heard of the word football know who he is. Obviously the fans were huge in Charlton's and Law's days, but Beckham as well sold ALOT of shirts. And now its down to Madrid. Fan population of Real has increased, and now that Michael Owen is in it..its even bigger...no matter the team..people judge by the player's names.1 out of 2 people I talk to thinks that Real has the best players-which they possibly do...If they could pull their stuff together and be more organised and play like the legends that they are..it would be something alse.

And instead of Beckham-now it's C Ronaldo in Utd...U know..most girls think he's hot etc[which he IZNT]

A draw is too high for this game...Im saying 2-1 for Arsenal-now Mancs don't ***** at me..I gave a lil respect[1 point] Pires,Henry-Rooney. And I don't expect much from Arsenal cuz Rio is doin so good back in defence-ah Im sorry I don't like utd but I luv Rio.
And Arsenal was struggeling a lil bit today wit Aston Villa-cuz Aston Villa was doing a great job..well ok it ended up being 3-1..but still well done to Aston Villa..
And Manchester was struggiling ALOT today..soo I dunno wat to expect.I read alot of articles that say 'Teams dont fear Manchester United anymore' and stuff along those lines, and Id have to agree. Its juss not the same team..Could it be cuz Beckham's gone[ ]

I think they're going to build up the South Stand too (although I hope they don't, I quite like the 'unbalanced' giant look that Old Trafford has right now). Although not in the immediate future. I think they'll see how many fans they have to turn away after increasing the capacity to 75,000.

Doesn't it look beautiful?

And about Beckham being super-popular, I had a friend (who knew very very little about football) who'd heard all the talk about Beckham being the England Captain, playing for United, modelling sarongs and sunglasses, bending free-kicks in movies and having miniature sculptures on his head. When he finally saw him play, he said that Becks was a rubbish player.
After all that hype, I think he was expecting Becks to score a hat-trick, all three of the goals coming from exciting dribbles and 30-yard stingers.

And United will not lose to Arsenal, at least the United I know will not lose to Arsenal. Or do I really know United very well at all?
How can they lose to that one-trick team? This is how a typical Arsenal attack goes, they gain possession, three people immediately dash off towards the opposing team's penalty area, the fellow with the ball hoofs it into open space, and the chase is on. The sprinters of Arsenal reach the ball first, are one-on-one with the goalkeeper with no defender within 20 miles of them and they score.
Please. Let's just defend deep, keep our shape and let our talent do the rest.

75,000 fans would be so cool at the Theatre of Wet Dreams. I can just visualize now that an additional 7000 fans would be seeing their dreams shattered in a UCL knock-out (preferably second leg) at the hands of the opposition who had one player who was too hot to handle for United Buccaneers ala Effenberg, Redondo, Ballack, Ronaldo etc ... you know the usual stuff that we have seen over the years.

remember last season? the "invincible" Gooners played Utd 4 times, losing twice and drawing the other 2 if only Ruuds penalty hadnt hit the bar.....

it would boost capacity to 90,000 they would have to smash down the houses in the bottom corner of that picture though, and i think some old people still live in them

it is amazing how often that trick works and i've been moaning on here for a very long time about it. I cant understand why Premier League teams dont watch what happens to Arsenal in Europe for tips on how to contain Arsenals speedsters?

or an extra 14,000 hands applauding yet another Ruud hattrick

No nono ..not cuz C Ronaldo wears 7-which is kinda funny how all da legends wore it and then it was given to him..anywayz I was reffering to his looks 1 out of 4 girls think hes hot...so basicly the 'model' of Utd is now C Ronaldo instead of Beckham..well dats wat I was trying to say at least.
And no half da people don't know who Rooney is..ok trust me this is Canada I should know haha..like every1 knows Beckham-posh's husband, does all these ads,hot as hell etc. Rooney? People who don't watch football don't know him[thats wat I was tryin to say]..and Dont get me wrong Im not saying that every utd fan was C Ronaldo or Beckham's fan...but Beckham had a huge impact on the fan population...and I really don't think u can argue that cuz its true. Some people follow their players...if u know what I mean..everywhere Ronaldo[Real] went people were crazy fans.So now that Beckham is in Real..he is selling a lot of shirts.

About Old Trafford..it looks okay I guess..the red is way too red Other then that it's a nice stadium.

About Arsenal...the difference now is that Utd suckz-ok not sucks[i don't want u to ***** at me ahaha] but rather struggles in their games.Cmon u guys were getttin screwed over without Ruud,Rooney,Rio--ok maybe alot of the teamemebers were injured-and I understand that part..but now..for example yesterday..u had no excuse to lose or tie. Cmon all ur best players were up on the field..and even if I dislike united..i was expecting alot more from them-like a hattrick from Shrek. On the other hand,Arsenal may look a lil challenged sometimes[and note that Im only talkin about EPL not CL haha]but they still end up winning. But CL is a different situation...IMO in CL Utd duz better then Arsenal.

I wish I'm the one of 'em.

btw, how much the percentage of Old Trafford's gate receipt to Utd's overall seasonal income?

yeah i know what you meant The No.7 shirt at Utd is iconic though and Ronaldo has more than enough talent to fill Beckhams boots on the pitch, whether or not he can sell sunglasses and razors as well Beckham is something i tend not to worry about

I dont doubt that at all, i remember seeing the Beckham-mania in Japan 2002 As for what he does at Real, im sure his presence in the team is celebrated among Reals Advertising team but im not so sure the fans share their enthusiasm....

it wasnt a great result yesterday but it wasnt a surprise either. At Old Trafford against Arsenal things will be different though Arsenal are confident and on great form but as a Utd fan i will never lose hope that we can destroy them

you wont get an argument from me on that

yeah, British teams try and fight fire with fire, the thinking being "if Arsenal attack us, we'll attack them more !"

Just under half i think, about £80m a year out of a total of around £180m. The expansion is costing £40m but will pay for itself within about 5 - 10 years
