Everyone is entitled to its own opinion, so I will give mine.
Its beyond me why some people say we played very good. I dont agree. For me, the biggest "insult" is that we didnt score. After we lost at home, the first thing you have to do is score, to stand a chance. And we didnt do it. Id rather be eliminated after a 2-2 score, or even a 3-2 loss. The result is the same: you are out. You cant take Inzaghi out unless he is injured or 100% tired. Especially in Champions League. And if the sub is Gilardino, enough said. I think this team run is over. There are 5 or 6 keepers, the rest can go. |

I don't know why some people keep insisting that Barca created clear-clear chances. So what? That's why there is a keeper in front of the goal. Barcelona did so well to create some of those chances, if was amazing........but don't take anything away from Dida as he was amazing as well. We scored, but Merk decided to be a FAG and gifted Barca the win. Football is played for goals.......not chances, posts, possesion or I dont even know what. In Milano, they scored and won. Tonight, we scored but didn't win. It is as simple as that.
I have loved Milan for more then 12 years now and I will never stop. I as a lot of you here have been through a lot with this team, but they always give me the joy of class afterwards, just like how they did tonight. They made us believe untill the last second. We can still lift a trophy this year though, and lets put it our all in the Serie A. I LOVE YOU MILAN!!!

2 months is still pretty far away and abt the summe being buzy, it better be coz we need good players badly, midfielders and defenders.
also i hope we do a pre season somewhere in asia to raise some quick and easy money. we shud get a decent booty this year from uefa for semi qualification.

Honestly, Barca deserves to go through, they did played a better game then us. Yes Sheva goal should have counted, but what do u think will happen if Sheva did score. Knowing Ancellotti, he would most likely be more defensive thus allowing Barca to have more touches of the ball. Once that happens, the chances of Barca scoring another is higher than Milan getting the second. Give Frank credit, he did well, did u noticed how he switched Eto to the left side inorder to contain Cafu. That moved paid off. While as, Ancelotti only switched Seedorf and Gattuso in the beginning of the second half, in hopes to let Serginho flies up the left flank, but that did not work as well as plan, since Guily was too very dangerous.
Dida saved Milan more than twice last nite,if it was not for him, Milan would have lost. Pirlo was very ineffective, Kaka was double teamed everytime he touched the ball. The sad thing is that I think boht Pippo and Sheva could have done so many damages to Barca, but they were lacking supplies. Do not know why Cafu came in so late. And I would have let Serginho to play as left winger more. Well, something will happen this summer, since Milan did not do well in CL for two yrs two yrs in a row. Improvements must be made. Maybe the system need to change but having a three man midfield with someone like Gattuso is one of the problems for MIlan. Yes Gattuso was our star when we won the CL and Series A....and back then he had worse offensive skills than now. However, don;t u see that not only does he disrupt the offensive flow of the game but not creating anything and misplacing passes. He is also a liablity for the defense. Look at how Barce able to counter once Gattuso loses the ball. If someone is leaving, I really hope it is Gattuso, b.c he is just not right for MIlan. Even though he is the lionheart.... |

I tend to disagree. It's true that Milan may not create chances after chances as some of us wished, and we don't expect the referee to be perfect.
But in a match where you know that it's 50-50, blowing a disallowed goal always going to be controversial. Imagine how it would feel if Milan didn't beat Juventus during penalty? I still don't think that the ref. made the right call. Shevchenko did score against Juventus. Back to this episode, it's just difficult to accept defeat when you are equally strong with the other team. You are right that Barcelona has probably created more on-goal chances but hey we have Dida who saved a lot of goals for us today (CREDIT GUYS? I"M STILL WAITING FOR THOSE CRITIC"S CREDIT). Bottom line: When the match is just 50-50, with so many things at stake, referee seriously cannot avoid a mistake, especially one that may change the tide of the game. They are human, alright, but when you made a mistake that cost a club's possible entrance to the final, you have to ask whether this is just. IF Milan didn't even score today, then Barca deserved credit. The fact that Sheva did score, a goal that I deemed official, I truly feel pretty bad. Just a small minor detail will change the game, and this time Milan is out of luck. And of course, I can't stand Deco's ****face at all. I think he is the perfect student of Nedved. |

Of course we can't blame Gilardino for being eliminated. We can blame the whole team (yes, even Shevchenko, Kaka and Inzaghi), we can blame Ancelotti, we can blame the ref (I can't believe he disallowes Sheva's perfect goal)... But most of all we can blame Barcelona, as they are a very good team which it is possible to lose against! |

Damn, that game pissed me off.
Merk is a retard, no comments regarding Sheva GOAL. legitimate, of course. Sorry guys, there're some arguments that i cannot understand. Do you really think that barca deserved their win? seriously, I don't think so. They just did it because the awesomeness of Ronny and the stupidity of Merk. I think that we deserved at least an extra time. Then, things would tend to be more CLEAR. Damn Merk, goddamn you. |

... Although "we lost" ... it wasn't as dramatic and traumatizing as Istambul was ... so I think next year is gonna be our year ... yesterday we left the pitch honorably ... leaving behind a win by us ... so tomorrow there won't be any more stupid self-doubts about our power ...
... And without the psychological burden left by the bitter-taste defeat in Turkey ... strap to your seat fellas cuz next time Milan will win it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... ![]()

Great post HeadFlick, I completely agree with everything in your post especially the loss being not as traumatical as Istanbul. After I (barely) survived Istanbul I know I can survive anything. We are still the best In Europe, regardless of the official result of the final, and we will be the best officially next year!
