That hell of a team is nothing if we can't get another 2 good defenders (not the kind of Favalli, Bonera, Simic, and even Costacurta and Maldini at this stage).

More fairy tales

Berlusconi retains ‘Dinho hope

Milan President Silvio Berlusconi has not given up on his dream of signing Barcelona star Ronaldinho, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Rossoneri chief discussed his plans to bring the Brazilian ace to the San Siro with Vice-President Adriano Galliani and transfer guru Ariedo Braida over dinner, reported La Rosa, and allegedly asked Galliani what he thought it would take to sign Ronaldinho.

Apparently both club officials preferred not to give an answer to the former Prime Minister’s question, as they are aware that the operation is not an easy one, despite the frequent rumours suggesting a rift between the 2005 Golden Ball winner and the Blaugrana club.

Ronaldinho's brother and agent Roberto Assis is expected in Milan this week, as he is scheduled to meet with Milan officials to wrap up the final details of Ricardo Oliveira's contract, and will stay in town to watch the derby over the weekend.

The next meetings could represent the right occasion to discuss Ronaldinho’s position, as he has not yet extended his contract with Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Galliani has confirmed that the World Player of the Year’s international colleague Kaka is not on sale and will not be included in any transfer operation.

“I will never sell Kaka. I have told my sons that they are authorised to do anything they want to me if I ever agree to sell the player,” stated the former Lega Calcio chief.

I really doubt if gazzetta posts such stuff. Does anyone subscribe to the paper edition of gazzetta?

as someone said.....
............pirlo.........
..gattuso.....gourcuff....
.....kaka'.....ronaldinho....
.......gilardino/pippo....

mamma mia! BUT, this will only work if we have decent RWB, as Oddo or Miguel, and solid defence. Nesta,Kaladze,Marek,Simic,Bonera are all ok. We need one more versatily player in defence. an of course, I dont wanne see Carlo managing Ronaldinho and KAka' in the same team. that woiuld be Lippi's job!

U must be joking! Lippi? He would never play both players together...

IMO, his choice of midfield would be:
(Any combination of 4 defenders)

................Pirlo............
Ambrosini....Rino...Brocci
.........Kaka/Ronaldinho....but not both!!!!!!

(Any combination of 2 forwards)

so if berlu makes that in a week why not in january say to barca heres 81 million euros now give us roni? we have nothing to lose. as well owning ronaldinho is more than having a suberb player think about the amount of people buying milan shirts just to have ronaldinho on the back. or am i missing the point? please tell me where iv gone wrong if i am

Well, not that you've gone wrong anywhere but even if Berlu makes that money in a day.....he is a businessman. What I wana say with that is that he will be carefull with his money and spend it wise. He also wants the best deal. Berlusconi will try to take 'Dinho's price down if he wants to buy him. The solution isn't just.......here is 81 mil..........they will negotiate so they can maybe pay 60 mil. Do you know what kind of difference 20 mil makes? You can rebuild a squad with that kind of money (don't take this word for word it's just an example).
