I've just heard about Lukaku.
If we can't sign player like Torres or Dzeko, Lukaku is a very good option: 1. He will have the chance to play, without CF of T & D calibre, there is no sure starter before him. 2. He has the talent and we can nurture him like Pato. However, I want to hear from Leo. In addtion, stingy Berlus and young-loving Galliani may like him ![]() |

What baffles me the most is that these 'oldies' and 'freebies' earn wages that a decent 20-25 year old wouldn't dream of! its not rocket science, so why B&G don't see the benefits of investing in these kind of players (20-25 year olds that are relatively unknown) is beyond me.

Did anybody ever see this kid play? I mean in full games not just highlights. Much as I want our team to rejuvenate, don't you guys think that with Pato, Zigoni, Paloschi (if he returns) and Aidiyah we have enough young strikers?
Or maybe B&G have a plan to send him to the primavera team like Aidiyah and Zigoni because starting from next season, this competition is our top priority

seriously guys, get real...What do you except from Paloschi and Zigoni???
primavera guy who actually isnt any good and a guy who is a third choice in Parma, yes he is only 20 years..but a certain 17 years old Messi and Pato were lighting the world on fire.

- We signed Pato for 20M when he was only 17,5 years old, right? - Lukaku was born on 13/05/1993, so he is 17 at the time transfer window open. - C.Ronaldo went to MU in 2003 for 12M when he was 18. So 15M is a fair price. - We can sell Hunter for at least 10M. So it is fair for us. - Younger can play early only if he is good physically, skill only is not enough. Pato, C.Ronaldo, Kaka and even our legendary Paolo were the best examples. I don't think Lukaku has this problem. He is not too fast and relies too much on his left foot but both can improve because he is still young. So we can use him, even as starter over Borri, but I want to hear from Leo first. - Another problem is his father, he wants his son play, big clubs may not provide him chance. However, if Milan can play him for at least 20 matches / season, I don't think he would not consider. Milan need a CF badly, not like Barca (Ibra), Real (Higuain), MU (Roo, Berba), Pool (Torres), Arsenal (Bentney), Chel (Drogba, Anelka), Inter (Millito, Eto), Juve (Tre, Ia, Amo). Borri is not a ideal CF for us. So this is good, but not our first option. However, when Torres' price is high and Wolfsburg's demand is ridiculous, we still have something to not be forced to pay any price. A reserved strategy is always needed. |

Find it hard to think that Balotelli will play for Inter again. The perfect revenge for him would be to go to Milan. Wonder what the price would be...

do we really need a(nother?) physical striker that can't create chances for himself? wouldn't a Zarate-type player be better for the team?

Lukaku seems good and now would be the ideal time to buy him before his price reaches a minimum of 35 million...however right now he will not be able to help us.
Right now we need a world-class striker in the mold of Zarate, Villa, Balotelli but someone like Dzeko might be okay if he turns out to be as great in Milan as he is in Wolfsburg. One thing for sure -- Hunter and Boriello are not the players that will win us the Serie A or the CL. As most have mentioned we need that player to score 20+ goals each year consistently just like Sheva. I have a feeling that player could be Pato but I don't know why they don't want to play him as a CF. |

I said "Hunter can be sold for at least 10M", didn't I In fact, we can sell Hunter with the same price as we bought him, 15M, and at the same time, free a large amount of wage (3,5 M, if I'm not wrong). With Borri, Pato and maybe Paloschi, we will be "forced" to use Lukaku frequently. If he is truly world class potential then Milan benefit, Galliani can be proud as a transfer guru ![]() The only problem is "if" Lukaku can be WC CF, so I want to hear Leo's opinion. However, the chance is high, IMHO. |

I think Pato as a winger can score 20+ without serious injuries. So that'll make room for another 20+ CF, like Samaldinho said. |

26 games- 3 goals combine with last year 62 games, 16 goals. He has contributed 12 assists but even then... And if you take away the fact he scored 6 in his first 5 serie A games (taking league by storm).... he's scored a whopping 10 goals in 57 matches. Indeed he is the player milan need Compare that to Dzeko's combine numbers for all competitions 2008/9- 33 games, 30 goals, 6 assists 2009/10- 36 games, 22 goals, 8 assists. 69 games, 52 goals, 14 assists Quote:

I am 99% confident Dzeko is a Milan player. Papers write what every they want, but Milan did the deal first and that is the way it will stay in my oppinion. Of course Torres is something more then Dzeko, but Dzeko is class above players like Borriello and this Hunter without playing time and self confidence. Thing is that Torres wins the games by himself, like Kaka and Sheva could - Dzeko doesnt. Dzeko is Luca Toni, only Bosnian and younger, much younger + with the ability of both feet and some very good speed and wide plays.
My wish for the defence is Bale. After seeing 6,7 of his games lately, I have confidence he'll play like hell in 2,3 years! Absolutely huge talent and great running capacity with serious work rate and a BRAIN ( unlike Abate and Antonini who are runners without any real talent ). Too bad we already gave up on Bonucci, and went for Astori and Yepes ( good ofr 12 months as Favalli's replacement ). I was against the sale of Rinho this summer, but I was wrong. The man is done, and we'll never see old Rino as it looks now. While we can Milan needs to sell him, as well as Clarence. BONUS: I saw Hernanes again, and again he showed pure class. He looks like a player that is lost in brasilian football and needs more serious team around him, not 9 man who want to attack... Neymar... look at him play, as Brasiliero says... some sick moves!

I get what you're saying though, Zarate has his faults for sure. He's still a great player, there's few people who can dribble like him. but he does have a knack for scoring incredible goals, which I guess is why alot of people overrate him a bit. |
