i don't know if anyone will pay 40 for Dzeko. as much as i like him, that number seems too high. i think even if wolfsburg were willing to accept 25 milan still wouldnt pay up. im curious to know where all this money is going. he continually sell and there is no immediate investment (guys who can come in and start playing first team football right away). Pato and Silva are the only significant purchases of the recent markets.

Well Dinho , Zambro play but I agree there should be more money although the wages are a problem i guess. But they have made over 150 million on transfers in the last 3 and a half years starting with sheva and not used anywhere near that ammount , usually when a club sells a player for ridiculos money that cost way less they spend some of it on replacing him.
Milan are alway's in top 6 earning clubs and you add the transfer money too it , I think its all well alot going in to Berlusconis other company's or his pocket.....But a miserable mercato this summer and if Leo leaves and it is known why ,then they will have smaller crowds less money team will be less competitive.

Ive said this and it sounds stupid but in about 3 years Milan literally will not have enough players to register a squad in a competition...

i only hope leo stays because he seems to be the one person in management who realizes this and wants some new 1st team players. you have to think B&G have come to some sort of realization that this is no longer the "team of champions" they proclaimed last summer and now it is time to buy some players. i can only hope. i guess we will see come summer.

I don't think they care not one bit............Its just odd what has happened , maybe they are just riding it out for all they can and will spend.

But no scudetto in 6 years and out to arsenal in the knockouts in 08 , out to bremen knockouts europa in 09 and thumped by not a great utd team last month , no trophy in 3 year's and they still call the team champions although they can't say the guys are past it obviously , but 3 year's of nothing aint champion material.

Dzeko is very good yet he doesnt cost much more than 24 m euros for me,40 millions is too much for him...

i'd rather to have Cacau and Chamakh or Adriano...
We can bring Yepes either way, he's free and his wages aren't high, so whoever we buy I don't see why we can't get Yepes.

fLame as funny as always... our Special one.

Yes, after Galliani says that he'll bring 5 players to Leo that are ok to use actually, Leo will quit just for for....

If Leo quits it will be coz Galliani will not give him the material he needs. And I support Leo on that decision if it happens. Unlike Carletto Leo is not a ***** of Galliani and Silvio. Well, he wasnt untill now, meybe he can becoume one, time will tell.

As someone said, 3 years without a trophy, 7 without scudetto if we dont win this one. If that is ok then **** it all. How is it possible with such great managment and such good players I dont understand.
-----------------------

Milan is related with Benzema ( for me he is a better player then Dzeko but is more suited for 4-3-1-2 and not 4-3-3 ) and has signed Pereira ( or something ), a 17 year old argentine. Tonight I'll see L'pool- Benfica so I'll report you on him.
David Luiz and Torres ( hehe ). Also if you can see the game pay attention to Uruguaian RB ( if he plays )for Benfica, Brasiliero talked about him in here.

They are pathetic Leo clearly has the makings of a top class coach , and for the sake oif 60 million now (because thats what it will take imo) they'll lose him and lose alot more money in the next 5 years without a good manager and a coach that can do nothing with a team that is 4 years past it and can't perform like they once did.

The other thing is, as I did not make it all clear, that 40mil or even 50mil will be a good bargain if Dzeko delivers the goals and improve Milan for the years
to come, like average 25-28 goals in all competitions year in and year out, help makes Milan into the 1/8 finals of CL every year and winning the CL at least twice while also a couple of Serie A titles. Of course if he turns out to be a bust even 25mil is too much. Point I was and am trying to make is that, a lot of us here are praising Dzeko to be the next big thing while at the same time these same people think he is over-price at 30mil. Which to me show that even them don't truly believe in Dzeko's ability.

Ofcourse it would be a huge bragging right if Milan can sign someone for 10mil and he turns out to be a golden booter for 5 yrs in a row....but reality is if Pato who Milan signed for 17mil or 20mil at the age of 17 with only 1 yr of PROFESSIONAL football exp in Brazil, then 40-50mil for someone like Dzeko is reasonable.
You are right, the time that those transfers were made need to be considered.....but quite honestly, only Van Nistelrooy's trasfer was a really long time ago. The others.....yea it's been a while for some.....but not that long that inflation would have taken prices up a whole 15-20 mil.

Also, you mention Berbatov(30mil) and Rooney(26mil). And that's great, I'm glad you mentioned them because they are still a WHOLE 10mil and 14mil under the asking price of Dzeko. That's a BIG difference so I don't know why you mentioned those two. Like I said in my previous post. I think a fair price for Dzeko is around 25mil yet because of the way things are at the moment I would go as high as 30mil, but NOTHING more then that. I don't know how you can say that 40-50mil for someone like Dzeko is reasonable. IMO that's ridiculous when all these guys that I mentioned and you mentioned (Huntelaar,Gilardino, Ibrahimovic, Van Nistelrooy, Rooney, Torres, Berba etc.) were tranfered out at no more then 30mil. So HOW EXACTLY is Dzeko's 40mil price reasonable I really can't understand.

Also, to respond to the Ibrahimovic-Barcelona point you made. That is totally irrelivant to Dzeko. Simply because at the time Ibra went to Barca he was on top of the world. Like I said.....I only chose players at the points of their career that they hadn't yet become giants of the game. So that's why I mentioned Ibra(Ajax-Juve)....and even later Ibra(Juve-Inter). So comparing Ibra's transfer to Barcelona makes no sense because that came in a different part of his career.

Benzema's transfer was highly overpriced (37mil Euro going up to 41mil in clauses). And let's take a look at who paid that money. Real Madrid. A club that last summer made the Football Manger game look like a joke. So we surely aren't going to base our conclusions on what Madrid does.

Adebayor's transfer is another one like Benzema's. Bought by Man.City , a club that will throw any ridiculous ammount of money just to become competitive over night. And even with all that craziness that transfer is said to have been 30mil euro.....a WHOLE 10 mil under Dzeko's asking (or what you say, reasonable) price.

So don't get me wrong. I would love for us to get Dzeko. But there is NO WAY that 40mil is reasonable at this point of his career. And I am really surprised that you even went up to 40-50mil.

About the potential points that you made. I totally agree. Sometimes you pay for the player's potential. And those things can go both way. If a player dissapoints then yes, you are right, even 5mil will be viewed as wasted and money that could have been much better spent. But that's exactly the point I'm trying to make my friend. If a player has potential (something that's not guaranteed to be accomplished) you can pay a higher sum. That's why I say 25mil is reasonable but we can go up to 30 because of the potential that we all see in Dzeko. But 40mil is way too much to be payed for the unknown.

I've just checked Pierre Aubameyang, on loan at Lille (5th in French League).

2 goals/ 4 starts (10 subs), he is 3rd choice forward of Lille, after Gervinho (12/20) and Frau (11/20).

Nothing special, we can't use Pierre yet, but Edin Hazard is playing for Lille now. I don't know if we could include Pierre in the transfer, or at least our good relationship could be an advantage.

Hazard still needs something, IMO, but he is a very rare talent.

Also apparently if Leo does leave at the end of the season then Tassotti will take over it is april 1st but no real lie there.

What it does make clear is if Leo walks it will be because he will have no budget no new players and no hope of doing anything with the club.

Guy's you are talking about Torres Dzeko Ramos , and all we have done is signed another OLD player in Yepes 34 you see 34.
So lets stop talking about top quality players like mentioned because it is clear Leo will walk because of lack of funds well actually zero funds , I don't understand Berlusconi's thinking or Gallianis because there is a small window of opportuniuty here where players will still sign for Milan , I mean in 3 years we will have about 9 players because the rest will be retired are they going to shut down the club forever .

Leo has done brilliantly with what he has and is no yes man he asked for some transfers and I doubt he is looking for 100 million but it's looking like he has been told no.He looks really p1ssed off these passed few games , but he isn't a poor man and there will be plenty of offer's for him.
I really believe that Leo will not leave a club about to let him invest , but he will leave where he has gone as far as he has can with an over the hill team.
We will know how our mercato will be if Leo leaves in May.
They signed Leo just because there was no serious coach who was prepared to deal with this team without signing new players. If Leo asks for anything, he will be fired, as simple as that. Personally, I would go for Prandelli, because truth to be told, Leo did nothing with this team, no progress at all. We can't buy 6 or 7 players (because that's what we need), we need a coach who can turn some average players, like Antonini for example, into good team players. Leonardo obviously can't do that.

Did you mean Abate?

27 years old in 2009 (1982), no international experience (5 times U17), only 2 full seasons with Siena & Empoli, injured most of the time last season and Antonini is now our best fullback.

In Serie A, there are Zanetti, Santon, Chivu, Grosso, Cristico, Risse, Vargas,... better than him in term of talent (they are all gifted), but his form & contribution for his team are still one of the best.

Dude, I said Dzeko for 40-50mil is worth the money if he can truly deliver the goods for Milan. I also stated that I have not watch him enough to judge that. Thats why if he is as good as alot here claims, then paying 10-20mil extra on a sure thing is worth the money.

Milan is not travelling the same road as Leeds, Leeds actually paid money for the players they signed. They overspent their budget, which caused their eventual downfall. Milan, on the other hand, underspend their budget, which caused their downfall. Big difference there.
