ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
I watched Benfica - Liverpool last night and I must say Di Maria, David Luiz and Cardozo all really impressed me. Cardozo has little relevance in a club like Milan, as I don't think we need him, but Di Maria and David Luiz particularly impressed me.

Di Maria, if he was to come would need to add some muscle, but his talent is there to at least be a top quality squad player.

David Luiz reminds me a lot of Thiago Silva last summer. A talent at the back with good athleticism, but still quite a rough diamond. I think if he can develop his talent, like Thiago he could be a top level defender.

In Serie A, there are Zanetti, Santon, Chivu, Grosso, Cristico, Risse, Vargas,... better than him in term of talent (they are all gifted), but his form & contribution for his team are still one of the best.
No I meant Antonini. Abate is a lost case, no coach in the world could make him into a good side back. Antonini, on the other hand, is average side back, but he could be good team player with better coach. Don't forget that a big part in Antonini's good displays (are they really good?!) plays Ronaldinho. Imagine him on the right side, because that's his natural position, without Ronaldinho...

I think early this year or late last year, goal.com carried a report about a €45-50 mil buy-out clause in his contract. IF its true, we can only dream of him, as there's no way B&G are paying that much.

Next year Dinho will be 30 and a 1/2 when the season starts with no motivation cos no world cup.
Pirlo will be 31 and a 1/2 and declining more vevn slower prob.
Zambro cannot run will be 33.
Ambro 33 and lets face it not a great player ever.
Rino almost 33.
Borriello 28 with 51 goals in his entire career.
Nesta almost 35 and injury prone -but still great.
Seedorf 34 1/2 and only a 15 - 20 minute last solution.
Inzaghi if he stays nearly 37 and hopeless now.
Hunter a miss firing mistery.
Antonini an average player with no huge game experience , and not World class.

Those are most of our key player's a sad sad squad of old out of form with some ordinary players.

That leaves Pato , Silva , Flamini that play well at a good level consistently.

Others like Abate , Onyewu , Oddo , Janku ? , Bonera all ordinary , thats our squad really a few others that are not worth talking about. That is a pitiful squad and when you think of what some of them are paid it makes me want to weep , at least 8 of those need replacing thats a fact and anyone who tghinks a striker and a midfielder or defender with youth players promoted will see us be good is in denial.

Thats something else if our younger players are going to get into the first team where are they shouldn't they have had a serie a run out , maybe in the games at the turn of the year when we up 5-1 and 3-0 and 4-0 shouldn't they of got a go for a few mins , I don't think they are good enough ....Last week Zigoni looked as slow as Pippo for the 20 mins he was on the pitch.

So nothing else than 8 transfers will make us a quality side again, I'll still follow Milan as much as ever but it goes another year or 2 the damage will be way way worse can you imagine a team of (besides Pato Silva Flamini if they stay) 34 - 36 year olds trying to play. You can get away with one or two alot of teams do but not 7 or 8 it just makes no sense.

Yeah I know and if they turn out great Astori , Paloschi , Verdi , Di Vito then great but the chances are big , I mean i'd imagine that 60 mill would get 3 good player's for 10 mil and 2 for 15 mil with Astori , Paloschi , Strasser maybe being good and either Verdi or Di Vito turning out good that would be realistic and reasonable but a big fat no no I think , Its got fairly negative around here but we only have what we know to go on and it isn't very positive is it.....I think i'll have a break from doom and gloom post's and see what happens , alot of people I know who couldn't care less about Milan are shocked when I say that there will be no restructure at AC Milan they think Im lying.......Names Ive seen us linked with in th last week get ready , Torres , Dzeko , Benzema , Vidic and Ramos its crazy these peolpe are paid journalists and they don't know what they are talking about.

Cardozo has a left foot that's hard to believe. Check out his free kick and penalty yesterday, anyways he missed loads of chances as well and is probably not better than Huntelaar.

David Luiz though, haven't really seen him over a whole season, but when I've seen him he's really impressive, including yesterday. Would be perfect for us, since he's not only a prospect, but also versatile enough to play as a full back.

I'm not really sold on Di Maria though, he's been hyped for quite a while now, and is probably gonna cost the most of all their players.

Anyways, Rui's in charge of Benfica I think, maybe he could hook us up.

That is coz Galliani has no balls to sell players and not keep them like a kid who collects pretty car models.

Seedorf, Oddo, Kaladze, Marek, Gattuso, Borriello, Huntelaar - they can all be sold, and Milan can make some good money from these sales. Zambrotta and Antonini need to be our reserve fullbacks.

Yepes is ok for 5th CB, while we still lack 3rd, who needs to be a great player or a player just like D. Luiz who can play as a CB or as a LB/RB.

I've heard some people saying great things about Zigoni, maybe we can use him next year in some occasions.
To conclude, its importand Milan SELLS some players, and doesnt make this horrible squad situation even worse.

With all this sales, new money and some normal investment, Im sure Milan can buy 4,5 good players. Unless books got unbalanced again, which is not so far from happening aguess.

I dunno Zigoni looked slow and awkward to me kind of a mix between Borri and Pippo , but maybe he was nervous he is only young after all.

He had to match his speed to the players around him.

His goal vs Palermo is Coppa Italia last night was class, and something only Pato can do for 1st team.

I hope that Leo is given the players he needs during the summer, but it's just important to oust the average players, and promote a few youngsters too.

Antonini may not be WC, but he's better than all wb's in Serie A bar one or two. There aren't that many WC wb's anyway.

Possibly 5 no more than that.

We really need another reserve cb who is very good, a wb, box to box mid, cover for wide positions, and keeper. 6 players, 3 starters, 3 subs, and then some youngsters added.

Gone - Rino, oddo, janku, favalli, kaladze, dida, roma, inzaghi, zambrotta.

This. You can blame berlusconi all you wan't but since he stepped down and put galliani in charge club has gone to utter ****. Why? Cause berlusconi can make a tough decision.

Galliani is like that guy who wants to be cool in high school. Be seen with Gattuso, pippo etc. He's said so much he couldn't bring to sell them. Hell he wouldn't have sold kaka, silvio had to force that.

If Berlusconi wasn't PM I am positive a lot of the fat would be gone. He pays the bills, i don't think he's interested in paying 5 mil for a back up GK or a 4th choice CB. And if milan's wage bill was lowered, they'd have money to spend!

Galliani pisses me off so much. You can't complain about money then sign poor extensions cause they are family. YOU CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. If berlusconi wants to lose money for posterity of keeping gattuso etc, thats his choice, but i can't blame him for not.

I think Leo is trying to force the hand of some players by not playing them - kaladze, gattuso, zambrotta & inzaghi, thus forcing them to leave to play.

The others I hope are certainities, and also the american to. forget about him.

The rest are usable players and with the right additions and more training can function better next season.
