And meanwhile we go on losing precious opportunities to get excellent players like Daniel Alves...

Oh you are right, I forget that we are a humble puny side from Sierra Leoa, we cannot afford the best players...

agree, Alves will be great, but that doesnt worry me as we will sign Oddo for less money. But I agree we need to spend some money, and we will( if we stay in serie a ). Be patient.

Yea I think a lot of players aren't really willing to go to a club whose future in Serie A isn't even secure.

Yes, besides the staunch conservantism of our board, we have tha ominous shadow cast over the side...

All this transfer arguing should stop the day we fans get to know were Milan stands economically, are we a high roller club with Berlusconi to pump in money every time the figures are red? or should we fans have lower expectations in terms of transfers? Sure it would be fun to have a great deal of money so Carlo could build a team that would succeed were we previously failed, but it would also be great to have a team build from our Milan youth academy, because thatīs what we have to do if we don't invest money, either way we win.
Forza Milan

Not just that but imagine if those players come to visit this forum and they'll be repelled by the "everything-is-great" group of people here. Why would they wanna come play for a team with such dumb people for supporters?

Well, Conti, we can't count immediately with a team from our youth academy, so we have in fact only two options:

1) To be worthy of the side's legacy spending BIG and mounting a great squad.

2) Or shamefuly abandon our history turning into a third rate side.

A couple of times during the lastīs seasons we have been Link to different players and every time have we offered money that even I can see is to low plus players that we don't want, then how are we going to get stronger? I want to say that all I know about Milan transfer is the thing I read in newspapers or on the Internet so maybe Iīm getting worried over nothing .
And about this Spanish thing I think it was Maldini who said that the reason Spanish players havent suceed in Italy was because ther has not been the best plyers like Raul in his prime for a example.

But anyway forza Milan
zlatanov pretty much said everything i wanted to but I want to add that just because those 3 clubs u mentioned are spending big doesnt mean we have to, you can get excellent players for a great price too ... look at klose, suazo.. etc ... i guarentee u that they would probably succeed here more than torres would... english and spanish players usually dont do well here becuase they play a completely different style to the italian league, torres would find it hard at milan, trust me, and when he does everyone here would start whinning on why we bought him when there were better options like klose, suazo ... etc ... players from holland, germany, brazil and argentina have the tendancy to settle in italy much better than ones from spain or england, and its because theyre used to a style thats similar to the italian

I simply fail to understand why a 'zillionaire' side like ours cannot spend big , honestly...

i agree and disagree, good post mk18! Torres would be a gamble, but so was Sheva. I think we need to see Torres play a european team in the world cup, a team that is going man mark him and make it really really hard for him to play.. he is a different type of player to Raul, and he cant exactly be compared to Jose Mari, and Javi Moreno that played for us....

just had a thought, it was kinda painful ok if spain plays Italy it would be a good chance for us to see how good he is, if he can do well against Nesta and cannavaro then maybe...
