They have already given up on Dzeko he is too expensive rightly or wrongly he is too expensive. If Cacau does arrive he will not be backup , I see this scenario of Pato being sold for big money and Cacau being his replacement Yepes coming in for Kala and one more free 30ish player Diniz and maybe Astori....The team getting older not younger and no star player around even tho Silva is great he isnt a Messi , Pato(still has alot to learn) , Rooney ,Ronaldo type player. Now this is worst case scenario obviously.

Also Aficio sorry bro for insulting you in an earlier post .

With all due respect, brk, what do you think is the likelyhood of that scenario happening? We have been through this selling star player to get the cash to rejuvenate squad thing twice in the last four years. If B&G still think that the fans are stupid enough to believe that they are actually going to use the money that way, then they are insulting our intelligence. Right before the Kaka sale, some posters here talked about how it could've been a good thing for the team. I don't hear those opinions any more. Selling our star players is only going to lead us to losing more and more star power and thus be relegated further and further down the hierarchy. It serves us absolutely no good whatsoever and I for one will never ever support that decision.

Ok, I know it's from goal.com and should be taken with a pinch of salt. But here are three worrying articles:

Dida renewing? Hope not...

Leonardo to leave if he can't do things his own way

Well if the Duck quack's off into the lights of Madrid or London it will be an insult to all of us as he is under contract and the best player we have when on form , he will fetch a nice price but it will go somewhere other than on a succesful mercato. But people said this last summer that next Pato will go and then Silva and then Berlu will sell , but I think if that's his intention then he should sell now while the club is in th CL and fighting for the title if Pato and Silva leave with the age of the player's no european football and the price he will get will be alot lower than he would get now.

Pretty much sums up our news day. Dida's contract shouldn't be renewed without a massive pay cut.

Pato rumours are disconcerting. He's clearly not happy at Milan of late and has been linked to moves to both Chelsea and Real. That said, Raiola's comments aren't anything new and are probably only to serve the purpose of raising Pato's value.

we're being heavily linked to Goulon of France. Anyone know much about him?

These are the roles on Leo's Milan:

-------------------------GK
------------Leader CB------Athletic CB
Attacking FB-------------------------Attacking FB
--------------Tough DM-----Tough DM
------------------All Round MF
Winger--------------------------------Winger
------------------Target Man

Pirlo and Seedorf both fit the All Round MF role, but we need two tough DMs to balance out the team. We can't play with both Seedorf and Pirlo in the middle, or we'll have more laughable defensive displays like we did with Cagliari (the problem there had less to do with the defense, than with the lack of protection from midfield).

Edit: I really wouldn't mind selling Pato+Huntelaar if it means we get Dzeko+Krasic + a great FB.
You got it somewhat wrong. I want to talk about midfield here, but before that, we don't play with wingers, but with second strikers, same as nowdays' Chelsea and Barcelona and different from Mourinho's Chelsea.

About midfield...

We can't do a sh.t playing with two tough DMs unless one of them is De Rossi or in worst case Yaya Toure. We played that way against Inter and we were badly overplayed in first half.

Unfortunately, the way Leonardo plays can't work without both Pirlo and Seedorf. With either two of Gattuso, Ambrosini or Flamini as your "tough" DMs, we can't create sh.t, and because of that, Pirlo must track back for the ball and there's no connection between midfield and attack, especially since our attack is positioned too high.

For bolded part, it has nothing to do with midfield, it's for our three attackers staying up when we're defending. If you see Chelsea for example sometimes, all players do defensive work. Joe Cole/Anelka and Malouda often track back to help their SBs in defensive work, so three-man mid can cover center of the pitch. In Leonardo's system, three-man mid must cover both center and the flanks, and it's sometimes even two man mid! All because that ridiculous "counter" game, which clearly doesn't works.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For current talk in this topic, I really don't know how all sudden Huntelaar became good enough for us?! ALL he has done since he's here is scoring two beautiful goals and all sudden "we don't need a striker, Huntelaar is good enough"?! I'm not surprised it's coming form Braida, but from some of you guys. I'm not saying he isn't good for us, perhaps this system is not good for him, a so on and on, but it's fair to say he's done NOTHING since he's here, except two beautiful goals.

Yeah Hunter is no world beater but it look's more than likely that we will have to make do next season because he is better than Borri and Pippo of 2010 , if Pato stay's (which I think he will for next season anyway) he will have to play the same role on the right , what worries me is Dinho if he goes to the world cup or not once it's over I expect Dinho to slip back to way he was last year . Pippo is finally done no spring Pippo this year , also Pirlo needs a replacement or a good back up. Seedorf is good for cameo appearance's here and there if we have to rely on the same next year they will have to try very very hard.

Fact is they have gotten cheap look at Cissokho , fact is the squad is not good enough the wages are huge and alot of the players don't deserve what they get paid....Fact is we only go on what we see and what we see isn't very promising or good.

You are a true fan, I respect your thought & spirit and I don't think much about "that"

Yes. Conclusion based on the old facts have high possibility, 80%, maybe, but if we exclude all other options, we often get wrong result.

Conclusion like we can not win Scudetto this season is more realistic, based on the facts: remaining matches & opponents, injuries, form, current position. However, the transfer window for next season is not even opened and we have some facts that can make great effects:

- We have new coach with potential to be one of the world best.
- We played in CL this season.
- We have new sponsor.
- Berlusconi was angry with the result in OT.

Some assumptions:
- We have balanced finance now.
- The CL chance next season is very high, so we can invest more (but we must be sure first, right?).

IMO, it is still early to feel upset or optimist, but I think being optimist is better for health

I hate these news about Raiola becoming the agent of Pato ...

This guy gave nightmares to Inter fans and finally managed to convince the club to let Ibrahimovic go (of course, Barcelona helped them too to make this choice by giving them Eto'o + I don't remember how many millions €). He's now the agent of Balotelli and did nothing to calm the situation between his player and Inter.

Now he has probably become the agent of Pato, his first sentence is "Pato is unhappy in Milan, the club is going to win no title again this season" ... The season isn't over, so if he really represents Pato, I think there's something wrong !!

I even start to think that Pato will go almost for sure because of this guy. But if that's the case, I just hope that Milan will have no mercy for the clubs wanting our injured wonderkid: ask 100M or several players + money (for example: if Real, ask for Kaka back + Benzema or Higuain + 30M, or 100M ; and if Chelsea, ask for Alex + Essien or Malouda* + 40M, or 100M). Given the example of Dzeko in Wolfsburg, I don't see why we should sell our player for 45M. We should think about that, if Dzeko is valued around 40M, well let's value Pato a lot over his real value too !!

* Never thought I would be able to say someday that I would accept Malouda in Milan ...

My point is that nobody is indispensable.

Darryl Hérold Goulon is playing MC/DMC for Le Mans

- Starter (21 starts & 3 subs)
- Young: 1988
- Tall: 1m95, very physically strong
- Free: his contract is from 2008 to 2010

He is easy to get but there are some other stats: commited 59 fouls and got 10 YCs (no red), that means about 3 fouls a match and 2 matches a YC.

His play style is to rough, but he can learn and we need it because Rino is not himself anymore.

Le Mans stands on 19th place now so he'd rather find other chances than extent his contract.

I think we should get him.

Milannews are claiming that Raiola isn't infact Pato's agent, and the whole thing was made up. They say that they expect Raiola to make a statement shortly.

Why would Pato stay in Milan? When he can play for Real or Chelsea and fight for titles and earn 10 times more... Every statemant that is made by agents is on purpose and is planned.

Pato is not Maldini, not even a simbol like Kaka' and Sheva were...

Dida to renew is just showing how crazy Galliani has gone, it shouldnt be allowed, its ridiculous! I do not expect anything in the summer. We talk about fullbacks, CB's, CF's, etc. While Milan bought Yepes, will call back absoultely average Astori who can barely play for Parma, and will buy one Cf probably.

Even if Milan sells Pato I will only expect one Cf and the rest of the money will be "invested" in contracts, Yepes, Astori and maybe a player like Hernanes.

I stand by my claim that Galliani must leave Milan becouse the stuff he is doing is simply ridiculous and is only digging in Milan into more dirt. Also Berlusconi - if he cannot invest, he can go to hell. Im not sentimental about owners and that stuff.

Still, my big hope is that Silvio and Galliani will have so much sould ( if there is any left ) that they will be smart and not officially make us 2nd rate club by selling 20 year old brilliant versatile player. If Dzeko is 40mln, **** him. IF Benzema is available, and by some devine miracle Milan can sign him, we'd have brilliant attacking duo for the next 10 years that can write history.

Its time Milan starts playing football and running football club and not creating sentimental paper crap about history and "campioni" etc.

That won't happen (huge paycut).

He's dead wood, living on past glory and should go (like quite a few players)
