btw, there were some rumours on tuttomercato of a possible transfer romance between Milan and Inter, now that the relations are back to being "beautiful" with the Suazo saga ending with Milan deciding not to stand in Inter's way, and the names thrown in were that of Samuel and even Adriano.

Solo pochi giorni fa avevamo dato voce alla petizione (sotto il link) di tifosi del Milan, segnalataci da molti lettori, per l'acquisto di Ronaldinho Gaucho: non possiamo quindi non continuare a seguire con simpatia l'iniziativa, specie dopo gli ultimi sviluppi del mercato rossonero con la vicenda Suazo. Sfondato il muro delle 1500 firme, i fans rossoneri continuano a chiedere alla loro dirigenza un "Mercato da Campioni d'Europa": rimarrà un desiderio, o in Via Turati si sta già muovendo qualcosa di grosso? Difficile dirlo, anche se al momento lo scotto per la beffa Suazo sembra bruciare molto ai tifosi milanisti, almeno a giudicare dal consistente tamtam di email che sta coinvolgendo anche noi di TMW.

I presume you are referring to Stuttgart's striker, right?
If him, he is a highly-rated, talented player but young and hugely unproven, I think, at least for a club like Milan.
has the frame of a Trezeguet-type of striker but is not tested in Italy or outside Stuttgart for that matter, let alone Europe, and has been arond for a relatively short period of time so there is nothing to say he would be able to repete this season with consistency ... and the club's president came out not long ago and slapped a 20-25 mil pricetag on Gomez, so my guess is he would go to Bayern in 2-3 years when they have enough of Toni.

Samuel was a rock at Roma under Capello and is a similar type of CD as Kaladze, Alex, etc.

His career has gone downhill after his move to Real M and then Inter (where he wasn't given much chance anyway) but that doen't mean he is a bad player ... in fact, I can think of a particular CD, who had an awful spell at Inter too, and is now having a very forgetable season at Real M (what a coincidence), while in other teams he was a solid rock at the back ... and even won a very prestigeous award last year, actually two prestigious awards.

The only question is, who is that defender?

Plus, if we get Samuel, which so far is just a factless rumour, he will most probably replace Simic at the back ... a move, I can't say I would be against.
The way I see it, if we can't get Alex, we can only gain from a move for Samuel.

I can't say nothing for sure because it's Moratti we're talking about.....but Inter to sell anyone to Milan is the last thing i can imagine to happen.
I know this Suazo thing started many new speculations about the newly born love between the Milano cousins, still i concider these news as pure *bip*. After Cannavaro, Pirlo, Seedorf and few others who became huge in Milan or Juve after coming from Inter. After Vieri and Ronaldo , after "Metillo in culo" and all these words wars from last months, it takes a lunatic to sell a player from Inter to Milan.

where did this samuel nonsense come from? guys, please! moratti is surely an idiot but once bitten (in his case it did take more bites) twice shy. he stated on numerous occasions that he won't do business with milan again in the future and why the heck would he want to give us one of his players as a nice gesture for pulling out of the suazo deal?

this man hates milan, no way he would like to apologize!
