So right.he rates Huntelaar too highly.Huntelaar just a good poacher, nothing less, nothing more...Remember his misses vs Roma,vs United.the ball he lost which caused Catania's second goal when Silva joined the attack and was in attack...Huntelaar tried to dribble and lost the ball when our defense was out of place...

No excuses or blames,Leo did maximum with this squad,Ronaldinho depented team, lacking quality alternatives in midfield,he had to play Gattuso,he missed Pato, noone can replace him.Nesta,we lost the scudetto just because of we missed them and we dont have any worthy replacement to play instead them...they heavily missed...

Regarding Antonini and Abate's perfonmance,i dont think they did great, they did good nothing more...they are still not Milan first 11 calibre players...

Regarding D.Luiz,he is a quality player and however i rate him high yet i rate Silva as the best defenders in the world,he showed his quality in Seria A unlike D.Luiz...i'd like to see him at Milan.at back line with Silva would be amazing...

if leo had the players he wanted,he would have the right to criticize him yet we dont have this right now...Everything would be different if Leo had Fabiano,Hernanes and Cissokho...Lets blame SOB Galliani instead of true Hero...

Leo was not a coach and you expect him to behave like a world class coach, off course he will do mistakes, and will learn from his mistakes...Huntelaar doesnt defend,Borriello doesnt and you want Leo them to defend to protect weak midfield, they dont defend...RVN was always first choice even towards the end of his carreer, because Holland doesnt have a worthy replacement...Huntelaar is a good poacher, yet nothing more nothing less.he is not a RVN or Shevchenko...

Leo had to play him at Right, cuz we lacked alternatives to Pato,a player should play there who has good finishing and movement to the box...Leo played him and do the right thing...Huntelaar couldnt play there...cuz he is just a poacher...

Bt seriously, what i mean is that playing with a SYSTEM that suits most of your players is much more better than building your team around 1-2 players.

@ Lebanese, was the last part really neccesary? hw can a 'true milan fan' make such comments? But i admit i'm tired of being a milan fan. I've been tired for years. Yet i just can't stop supporting the team! Because i love the team.
Yeah and our leader for defence for the years to come should be Favalli ...
My point was that when you don't have many decisive players, you can't build a whole system suited to all players, you have to put the best one(s) in a position allowing him/them to shine and then you fill the gaps with the other players, it's the solution finally chosen by Leonardo: he put Ronaldinho on his left side to make him happy, which as a consequence, forced him to put Pato, the only player able to play as a winger, on the other wing (and when you see the number of goals he scored by being out of position and often injured, just imagine what it could have been if he had been put in his natural position ... 20+ goals even with all these injuries ?).

If we want to have a chance to compete for all competitions again, and here's what I wanted to say, we should put Pato in his position (alongside another striker), and use Thiago Silva as our leading defender (no more Nesta going forward with the ball, it's Thiago Silva who must do it now, he showed he's able, and even more than that, he's good when he goes forward).

So, in my opinion, Ronaldinho shouldn't be the key player for the seasons to come, and I'd even replace him by one or two classical AM, maybe less talented, but allowing us to play with a killer in front of the goal (+ Huntelaar and Borriello would take profit of the spaces created by this AM and Pato).

@ lebanese, 2007? you are breaking my heart, just like stephen Pienaar nearly did on the night i became a fan.
@ Geo, the Ambro part was a joke!!!
P.S.
I don't think i overrate Hunt, i think people underrate him. 'Huntelaar is the best penalty-box striker in the world bar none'- not my words, the words of an expert.

I know as I'm the one who started the joke !!
I don't know what is the real level of Huntelaar, but as I said, I'd like to see him with another striker alongside him and with an AM behind ...

Really, with Pato and Huntelaar, we could have something similar to Crespo/Inzaghi-Sheva, but we just don't use that potential duo (but Leo has no real choice, as Ronaldinho simply can't, or doesn't want to, play in the center of the pitch).

The Pato/Hunt combo with a good AM or two doesn't sound like a bad idea. You would make a good coach. Consider it.

Milano, you know imo Ganso will not fit in Serie A... It's just a personal opinion so, I'm not pretending what I will go to write here is a fact.

As I said in my first post about him, in ability terms he's once of a kind. But in the way he's being effective in games here in Brazil, he will have a hard time to translate it for Serie A. To be fair, his work rate is on another level nowadays. Playing in a 3 man midfield with another #10 and a CM, did wonders for his game, because for the majority of coaches in Europa, a #10 without work rate is a second-striker, at best.

Said that, and back to the game, he wasn't hurt, he just disappeared. In "kaka's father..." thread, I criticized him at under-20 WC because of it. He clearly felt the pressure at WC, and felt once again at the Clássico.

Here in Brazil there's a national claiming for Dunga to call up Ganso and Neymar for WC, but I will not jump on this bandwagon. Imo Neymar clearly deserve a look, but Ganso is still green. After the game against São paulo, you could see that a part of the press finally wake up about Ganso. The guy has potential, but the way that people talk about him here, you think they are talking about Rivellino.

I hope Ganso stay in Santos and lead his team in Brasileirão, to gain more personality. Do you Remember of Keirrisson? People(fans and press) were asking for him in Brazil NT(and Milan) last season, because of his amazing performance on Paulistão(S. Paulo State Championship), and I said it here, States Championships aren't reliable(besides the Clássicos) to evaluate a player.

To be straight, if I was the one in Milan to give the okay to Ganso's purchase today, I would give a NO without think twice. Neymar on the other hand, it's like you wisely posted... You just need to look some minutes and you see a future star.
See thats where i disagree. I won't deny he is definitely too 'green' if you follow. But because of milan's current state i prefer they get a kid like him who has all the "TALENT" in the world, and groom him. Leo, (hopefully he stays) would be an ideal coach for a player like Ganso, do you agree with that????

With Ronaldinho pato leading attack of team, he won't feel pressure to over exert. and veterans like Seedorf/Pirlo there too.

You're totally right about paulista, and i have been watching a fair amont of it to see level of play is well below copa libertadores or brasiliero. But even your example of kierrison isn't great. He's now playing well for fiorentina. He's still inexerienced/green but i'd welcome him at milan.

The standard of Serie A is NOT what it was 5 years ago sadly. I mean it's a 4th teir league and IMO comparable with france.... maybe even purtugal. Like you said, milan need to find ways to buy plays w/o breaking bank which neymar would. I'd LOVE neymar here, he's special talent, and has just as much balon d'or talent as Pato. BUT IMO, what I've seen Ganso do, he's got magic, he just needs to grow. I could easily see him in Italy in the future, being like Kaka or Zidane behind 2 strikers inspiring team, making plays and being a star.

Milan saw gourcuff go away and become a star. Ganso if he came to milan might be similar, where he isn't full ready yet but shows flashes. Only now I think milan has learnt there Lesson of Gourcuff....and perhaps environment for a player like Ganso would be right

I see many things to make me pi$$ed of today.
1) Juventus step up interest in Dzeko and are prepared to make a bid now that Amauri is an EU player.
2)Galliani says that Milan will now only focus on youth as he is happy with the progress of Antonini and Aabte after being out on loan for several year's.So will all our young players have to play away for 5 years before they play for Milan?????
3) Leonardo will leave in the summer and Tassotti or Galli will take over. Great Tassotti or Galli they don't even care who as long as 1 will pathetic.

We finally get a strong manager who stands up to Berlu and knows what we need and say's what we need and he is almost gone.It just shows a lack of ambition IMO and is a bad step ......Same team next year I think Ambro Seedorf Dida Zambro Oddo Rino maybe Pippo etc....

When I am wrong I will admit it , but there is no evidence to see what we need is coming I hope its all paper and web talk but we are talking about a team that asked a retired 41 year old to come back and play no matter how good he used to be ....PATHETIC nothing else.

Yuhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu Milan wins Coppa Italia (Primavera). The last time we won it by Maldini, Costacurta, co. in 19984-85. Good job young Milan!

Only Verdi and Zigoni. Both made the two goals for Milan. The game ended 2-0 for Milan.

Verdi should be the MOM in my opinion. Our backs (the four defenders) looked solid.

EDIT:

Galliani and Tasotti were there and fans on other forum also said that Leonardo watched the game (I didn't watch the whole game).

Yeah, Verdi looked promising. He is still 17 years old but played really well in the game. He did mistakes, just other young players. I am not saying that he is ready for the first team but he should definitely get more trust from Leo. He could be our alternative as substitute for wing forward position. But Leo should just leave him with the Primavera if it is obvious that he won't sit on the bench since he really needs to play games and he can get it with Primavera (normally if Primavera players are called up to the first team, they won't play the Primavera game).
