Lovely crosses? which ones? Maybe you mean the corner? I havent seen so many lovely crosses from him. Ok he cleared the his lines but what i could see he did it so hurried. Could you see the first goal of bayern? A Worl class player doesnt do mistake in so importan matches.

He is good fullback and better than Cafu especially in defence but for me he is not good enough to play in our first team as right fullback.

frustration is the only feeling I can offer after this result. We did very well in the first half, dominated play well and pressed Bayern superbly.

Unfortunately, the second half was a different game, as we were clearly starting to feel the effect of the first half and kept dropping off. I'm annoyed because it was pretty clear to see during the first half that we couldn't keep up that energy for 90 minutes, and we didn't pace the game well enough to avoid such situations.

The subs imo were made too late. Janku wasn't particularly defending well down the left and Bayern couldn't have asked for more opportunities to cross. Additionally, Ambro or Kaka (who was playing on the left) rarely seemed to be available to support Janku defensively, so Bayern clearly had greater room there. Bringing on Kaladze who is far more solid should have been done at 1-0, as we were playing on the counter at that point anyway. Gourcuff for Seedorf was similar, as Seedorf clearly hadn't been making any impact for 15-20mins at least before going off, which seriously reduced our outlets to relieve pressure.

Offensively I can't say much, as it's typical of this Milan side to get chances to create good offensive move but then waste the chance. Kaka was poor today (with a miss as bad as Gila against Roma), though Lucio deserves credit as he really marked Kaka out well.

Defensively, on the whole we did pretty well if the Bayern goals are discounted. Bayern didn't really get opportunities despite us dropping far deeper than we should have and in the end, schoolboy errors cost goals. If there's one thing defenders should know, it's to keep their man within reach and under control until the danger has completely passed. On both goals we lost our bearings with Van Buyten (a good performance from him) and he scored.

Players:

Dida - Poor on the whole, didn't shut down the angles well enough
Maldini - Fairly good performance, was also fouled on the second goal for Bayern it seemed, but I guess it doesn't matter as we never should have got a penalty.
Nesta - On the whole a good performance, except the marking of Van Buyten, who he lost twice.
Oddo - Worked hard down the flank, probably could have done better on the ball
Janku - Not his best match, as defensively he was inviting too many crosses.
Rino - Worked hard
Pirlo - Good game overall, he scored a nice goal.
Ambro - Dominated well in the first half, seemed to disappear in the second
Seedorf - Pretty much what we've come to expect
Kaka - Very poor by his standards, never seemed to be able to get the better of Lucio
Gila - tried hard, unlucky not to score and yellow carded when offside.
Pippo - Little impact, never really got behind the Bayern defence
Gourcuff - wasn't bad after coming on, but too late
Kaladze - did little

In two weeks time we're going to have to play better. The problem isn't our technical ability, nor workrate, but we HAVE to control our games. This season that has been a massive issue, and it's partly because we're so wasteful when moving forward and also because of silly individual mistakes. The balance in the side just isn't ever right, and the pacing and control of our play isn't there at all.

Still, I think we can beat Bayern. They have talked big a lot lately, and quite frankly I don't think they backed it up at all. We should be confident in our ability and we MUST learn from what happened today.

We tied 2-2, big deal ha! Allianz Arena is not some kind of fortress, we can still advance. Pressure is always on the home team, in this ties. I still believe we will advance.

A decent striker! I absolutely agree. Inzaghi was a decent striker but he is too od now. Gila is still developing (I hope!!!). Maybe we can give our hope to Ronaldo but he can not play in CL.

I never thought I'd say this. But I envy Liverpool a bit, at least in the Champions League. They have a very limited team, but still they manage great results. They have the necessary will to win and the enthusiasm needed to go all the way. I think we're lacking some of that.

Can't you guys see that our defence is still unable to understand how to defend set pieces??? Why must they always mess us up...The Keeper is supposed to know where to go not the entire defence running around like headless turkeys

Guess Bayern kinda deserved a draw, eventough those 2 goals should've been avoided.Certainly when you know that Van Buyten totally sucks ass!

Dida : Made 2 mistakes which eventually led to 2 goals. 4.0
Oddo : Bad crosses but good running up and down the flanks. 6.0
Nesta : Solid, needs more match rythm though. 7.0
Maldini : Solid, some small mistakes. 6.5
Janku : Made some mistakes, bad crosses but defensively OK. 5.5
Pirlo : Seen better but some good passes, nice goal. 6.5
Gattuso : Worked hard, solid. 7.5
Seedorf : Bad ball controll,bad passes,slow,tried but could'nt. 5.0
Ambrosini : Pretty solid game. 6.5
Kaka : Nothing too special, good penalty. 5.5
Gilardino : Bad controlls, tried but received a lot of bad passes too. 6.5

I agree. There's something insecure of our defence, I think it's been like that since the horror-night in Istanbul 2005...

Nesta doesn't need to score in the CL...and he doesn't score because he doesn't push up so much and rarely comes up for corners.

It's our strikers we should be worried about and this Gila-less situation...and I admit that at first I didn't beleive Pirlo was going for goal, but hey! Golazzo!

Luck wasn't on our side tonight, why the hell we play with one striker when again we're letting in easy goals i don't see the point. We should play with two strikers then we'll have more options in attack and score more goals.

But that's not the only problem, we can't stay concentrated for the whole 90 minutes and that's why we let in two silly goals, we were far better than Bayern but we ourselves are guilty for not winning this game.
