I have no issues with the quality of posts; I am not a snob.

I was just wondering why every article at the bottom has posters going to the extent to even talking to the players. It's just bizarre, and far more prevalent than to be just one of those things.

"Gila please leave Milan" and "Ronaldo I love you" etc. yes I have seen you post that, but I am talking about people whose entire output consists of a monologue delivered for the benefit of the player in question.

I just thought it was part of the board culture and the protocol.

Anyway, I digress.

Indeed, based on the two awful PM's you sent me yesterday, your behaviour is criminal, in many jurisdictions. You infer dangerous threats, and you boast about how you can never be traced or banned, because you 'change your anonymous server once every 11 minutes'

There is no honour at all in your behaviour. You're an embarrassment to the majority of football fans, be they of Milan or indeed of football in general.

There is a tiny minorty of supporters of all clubs that are like you. We have them at all the various english clubs too, including Liverpool. But thankfully, your type is treated with the total disdain (by the vast majority) that it thoroughly deserves.

Didn't you guys see how well we treated the ManU fans and how Carlo and Fergie got on. This is the example to follow.

Pireloke, and anyone else who has complaints about non-Milan fans here. They're as welcome as any of you, so if you don't like it, find another forum where there is a rule to prevent non-Milan fans posting.

First of all, Dru, understand I am not upset with you! It was just a couple comments, like about not joining rival forums and so on. There are many general soccer forums where fans of many teams gather and post, and cross-post in each others forums. Some people are acting like we as milanista shgould go around with blinders on. That would be incredibly foolish, for one thing,and for another, few people here can tell me they don't belong to some other forum or go someplace to talk about other leagues, other teams' players and so on. I'm probably a real minority here b/c this does happen to be the only soccer forum I belong to, for a number of reasons. One being, I had my fill of the asinine jerks at XT a long time ago and I don't care to get back into that particular atmosphere. I belong to no other milan forums b/c...I have Milan Mania, and I just don't feel like dealing with the cliques and the negativity at other Milan forums.

Secondly, this whole situation has re-opened a discussion about private messages and the mis-use and abuse of them, and can things said in a PM be used to take action against a forum member. I've been doing some research and have found a forum for site admins, and right in their terms of use is something we are going to borrow and append. If someone receives a PM that is threatening, rude, crass, etc. and that person comes forward with it, you bet it's going to be admissible.

Now comes the lecture...

There is NO NEED and NO REASON on God's green earth why anyone here needs to think they have the right to be rude, nasty, demeaning or threatening to anyone else who is a registered member here. Absolutely no reason. I don't give a good GD what you find offensive about someone, if they haven't done anything other than post and act decent, then you do not have my permission to be a rude, crude ignoramous to them. That is not in the spirit of these forums and has never been acceptable. That is not the philosophy upon which MM was born and that is certainly not the intended use of any of these subforums or any of the features we allow users here to have--signatures, avatars, custom titles, location and yes, that extends to the optional feature of private messages.

Small minded bigots, rome1977 has said....and you know what? When I read those words my thought was "he hit the nail on the head!" How boring would this place be if we only allowed Milan fans to join? I've already said that you have no idea how many opposing fans who come here only to taunt have been banned immediately. You're right--we have no room for people like that. But understand right now, we will continue to have an open door policy on these forums. And we will also continue to uphold the founding principles that this forum is a place for everyone to feel free to post without fear of being treated badly. EVERYONE who belongs here has that right--to post and feel they will be safe and comfortable here.

Now, as drucurl says, such rude treatment of "outsiders" only drags down the reputation firstly of the forum and secondly of the team.

And 'no', i have no prior knowledge of these individuals, nor have I ever caused them previous aggravation. They hate me seemingly because I am a Liverpool fan who decided to chat in this forum.

I am not the person who launches attacks. I cannot do a thing to stop those posts (and PMs) from the two people concerned. That is entirely in your hands (i.e. the MODs).

I do not seek to tell you your job. But I cannot, for a second, imagine that these posts, and PMs, are within the terms and conditions that these two people signed up to, when registering for this forum.

I cannot do a single thing regarding what these two people do, and do not do. Only you can change their behaviour on the forum.

Honour is very important to me and to Milan. This is the reason I became a Milan fan in the first place. Without sounding too melodramatic it is my duty to keep the honour of my club . Never have I seen such honour/class in a football team than in Milan.

Debs, awesome post. I agree totally, the terms and conditions of use of a forum should definitely cover PM's (and any other aspect of the forum e.g. avatars). I don't believe that hate-filled people should have any stone to hide under.

I know myself, that it takes money to find a server/host, and get a site setup. Why should one or two others come in and believe for a second that they have a right to post stuff bordering on criminal activity. They have no right. None whatsoever.

If they want, they can go get their own server, and do what they like on that. They can pollute to their heart's content....poo in their own yard.

Actually i am not a big fan of Gerrard myself. And I have enraged a fair few on Liverpool forums across the years, by calling him Captain Marvel. I don't mean it in a nice way either! lol

No I really do dislike Gerrard I mean just in recent history Liverpool have had so many players better than him like Owen and Fowler...it's almost sad that he is seen as their hero....This is not to diminish his abilities in any way...but more down to my own personal preferences I'm a bit of a flair junkie
The other thing i dislike about Gerrard is that he AND Crouch scored very unfortunate goals against Trinidad and Tobago this World Cup Crouch pulled down one of our defenders by his hair (he himslef admitted it) to score and while Trinidad were chasing the equalizer, gerrard scored from one of his trademark shots It would please me very much to see them suffer in the final Did I mention that Trinidad's colours are also Red and Black (predominantly along with some white)

I think sending people nasty PM's is a useless and cowardly thing to do . If we Milan fans are truly superior to fans of other clubs then there are levels that we simply will not stoop to. Not because other dumbasses do it means it was ever ok or that we have to do it. I can fully understand, however people with a beef slugging away at eachother.....but to persecute someone for supporting another team is simpy barbaric. Such activity is neither morally or legally permissable.

The dishonour comes from sending such messages, and in those who might try to defend them.

Those who expose and try to deter or eliminate such activity are the ones displaying honour.
