I would only take Ibra if Milan loan him, not buy him. He will be 29 years old in October and we now have limited budget, so why should we buy a player with huge money (He will cost at least 40-50 mil euros). I prefer to spend the money (if we have such kind of money) to buy super talents like Pato or if Berlusconi does really want to buy champion, find other younger one because we are not like few years ago in which one great player can complete our squad, we need some real good players just to make the team complete.

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
Ibra for 35m + Huntelaar is pretty absurd for a club in our situation, unless Berlu himself sanctions the move. Also very important is Ibra's wage demands, as I can't see him coming for less than a mega wage.

More importantly, if Ibra comes what does that mean for investing in other parts of the squad? If Berlu spends a huge amount on just Ibra but doesn't invest at all for other areas, then to me it seems better we ask for smaller investments to develop the squad rather than get a single superstar.

All that said, I do agree with those who say Ibra is perfect for us. He is precisely the kind of player we need in place of Borriello.

Quote no. 1 (from timesonline.co.uk):

"Mr Berlusconi’s wealth is estimated at between €5 billion and €8 billion..."

Quote no. 2 (Berlusconi's own words):

"It is the team I love, and therefore I am their number one supporter..."

So, when you combine those two quotes, it's kinda hard to see why he's able to spend only "pocket-change" money to improve the ACM squad. Of course, it's his own money and he's the club owner so he can do whatever the hell he wants.
But, if you were the owner of the club, with all this money at hand, and if you were "the club's number one supporter", would you be also throwing the supporters to agony with words like "we're OK and we don't need to spend a lot of money which we in fact don't have"?

Either spend the money, or sell the club. If you really love the club but don't have the money - sell it to someone who has who'll make the club magnificent again.

Honestly, Ibra is a big risk. Like others have said, he's 29 in October, and I think it's funny that when we don't have a player, their age isn't a problem, then, when we get them, we're angry that we signed an old player.

If we're even thinking of spending 35 million on a striker, then get me Dzeko and sell Huntelaar for cash in other positions. So far, it seems that Dzeko is not only a big-game player, but he has also had a fantastic season, especially considering how bad Wolfsburg were this year.

22 goals, 10 assists, top scorer of the Bundesliga. I'm sorry, Dzeko is the better investment. Though, there is a risk of Dzeko failing in Serie A, and I acknowledge that, but who says Ibra comes back and does well with us? There is also an argument that Ibra would provide us with more marketing and more revenue as a result, though, I feel that winning does that as well, however, it is important to have players that are recognized for revenue purposes.

The stories about 30 million for us, Berlu's daughter, then other reports saying that Berlu wants to spend. Who knows? I guess we'll find out. I have a feeling that this is Milan's way of getting better prices than we normally would. I just hope it doesn't go like Cissoko.

Does anyone think that Cannavaro would be a good one year deal? He'd be free, and I don't think that Juve was a good team for anyone, and I feel like it would be worth a try. Yes, he's very old. But, he's Cannavaro, that's why I'd even think about it. Personally I'd prefer to buy Santacroce or Mexes, but I just wonder if he'd be worth a year contract, especially seeing how we did after Nesta's injury. It might allow Thiago to play different positions? I'm not sure how he'd do as a RB, but I do see him playing as a more Rijkaard-like midfielder.

Just an idea, though, I'd rather sell Huntelaar, buy Mexes, and use our "superstar" fund for Dzeko. Getting rid of Kaladze, Oddo, and Janku, promoting some youth (done) and then using what scraps we get from those players (in wages or transfer fees) to grab a young midfielder, like Jucilei. Though, I'd like to grab Cigarini or Montolivo.

Honestly, I can't believe some of you are saying Ibra is a risk, yes, he did not have a great year in Barcelona but it was a new league with a new system and he was no longer the key man for the team. Beside I think he did solid. Yes, he might also not be a big game player, but Pato is. Honestly, I can't think of anyone better to partner Pato upfront than Ibra beside Torres, Drogba and Rooney.
Now I am not saying Dzeko is not a good striker, but if he is no way near Ibra's level, maybe in a few years he could be but Milan need great players now and not three years down the line.

Well, it's also a bit funny how a player that isn't 29 untill October is already labeled as a 29 year old (and October is a half a year away). At the same time he isn't even 30 yet considered old????? What I am trying to say is that Ibrahimovic has AT LEAST another 3 great SEASONS ahead of him. When I say great, I mean on top of the European football and keeping his legit place as a top 5 striker in the world of football. He has not only played in Serie A, but he has been the best player in Serie A. Yes he is entering his last years of "greatness", but I'd take his 3 years.

Dzeko is great. A player with real ambition and potential. But let's not joke ourselves and say that he is on Ibrahimovic's level just yet. Dzeko has had a couple of great seasons in Germany......but so did Diego. Diego was hands down THE best player in the Bundesliga and did great for Bremen in the UEFA cup last season too. He was considered one of the top players in the world because of his heroics in Germany. Yet we all know how he ended up in Italy. Having said all that, he remains a great player.......but the difference between the leagues and the style is simply huge and Diego struggled big time. How will Dzeko do if he comes here??? I hope great, but I can't be sure about that.

Samalinho, you say "Though, there is a risk of Dzeko failing in Serie A, and I acknowledge that, but who says Ibra comes back and does well with us?"! Well my friend there is nothing sure in life and we can sit here and debate until next year about the possibilities of the unknown. Give opinions on what will happen, an then wait to be proven right or wrong.

What we do know is that Dzeko has been great IN Germany with Wolfsburg. And Ibrahimovic has been great IN ITALY with Inter. He carried Inter on his shoulders to first place for a couple of years becomming the best player in Italy and undoubtebly a top player in the world.

In any case......I would be extatic with either one. Be it Dzeko or Ibrahimovic. But I personally don't see Zlatan's age as a factor here, simply because in my opinion it isn't a factor. A player that is 28 RIGHT NOW has a lot more to give to the game. I have a problem with signing 33 year olds and so on but not 28 year olds.

The only problem I see with both transfers (Dzeko or Ibrahimovic) is that either one we go with, will cost so much that we won't reinforce other areas of the squad, which is really needed.

I honestly don't think Ibra or Dzeko will be at Milan next season. We have Pippo Pato and Borri and probably Huntelaar , so I cannot our MGT especially going by the last 2 years and all the comments and praising the team , that and Berlu saying that if he managed the team we would of won the scuddetto by 6 points he clearly thinks or wants us to believe that the squad is fine and has no plans to invest more than the 20 million suggested.

No need to worry man , he is too expensive in transfer fee and 10 million a year wages.
