Steza, what about Cantona's goal in The FA Cup final against Chelsea, in Wembley. We won 1-0, thanks to that volley goal.
vs Liverpool not Chelsea

That was a great volley, I think Cantona's best was the one at Crystal Palace in 95(?) a 25 yard looping volley straight into the top corner
I still think Hughes was better though, 1 of his volley's was so good that Barcelona bought him because of it (back during the English in Europe ban in the 80's ) Another one was against Man City in 1989, Utd lost 5 - 1 but Hughes scored probably the goal of the season for Utds consolation

Hey mates..
what about the new United jersey? for season 04/06.

I personally prefer the old one (02/04) seasons.
The black strip on shoulder has changed to white and the logo moved to centre.
and the NIKE logo.. how come it's now bigger?? quite unbalanced.

nevertheless, i'll try to love it.

Steza, d'u know one more thing that makes that jersey worse??
This season we'll have regular "Lion Badges" on our arms, not the golden ones.

I doubt he'll go that far

More likely he meant that if John O Shea starts the season well then Fergie won't drop him, and if that means Heinze has to be a sub then so be it

Hehe.. Maybe the media has translated it harshly. but Sir Alex is always having some troubles in dealing with international players.

IMO Heinze has been playing very good during Copa America 2004. I hope he can cope with Adriano and Alex in the final.

I've heard that Neville Brothers have extended their contract to United for next 5 seasons. Their weekly wages are ± £ 50,000
It's great to have em both. They are very versatile.

United also offering a new deal to Ferdinand.

Utd lose to Bayern

Utd lost to Bayern in a penalty shootout in their first friendly but its not necesarily a bad result. Despite fielding masses of youngsters they held Bayern to a 0 - 0 draw

The line up was this:

-------------------Smith---------Bellion------------------

--Richardson------Djordjic----Djemba-Djemba-----Eagles--

---McShane-----Spector--------Keane--------Bardsley---

--------------------------Carroll-------------------------

A good showing from the youngsters, and when Fletcher, Ronaldo, Pique, Rossi etc are added then the future looks bright

Butt set for Newcastle switch.

Finally.. Butt set for Newcastle United switch

Nicky Butt is set to join Newcastle after Manchester United agreed to sell the Reds midfielder to the Tyneside club.
Butt, 29, will now finalise personal terms and complete a medical at St James' Park after returning home to England from United's USA Tour.
The club confirmed in a statement late on Monday evening: "Nicky Butt has left the Manchester United tour of America.
"Manchester United have agreed terms with Newcastle United pending a medical and Nicky Butt's personal terms."

Good Luck, Nicky...

I laughed when i saw that line-up, just b/c Muenchen played their "greater" line-up.
Anyway, United young players looked promising, tho they couldn't scored a goal, but they played very well as youngsters.

IMO Sir Alex is developing his 6th and 7th or even 8th generation at once.
