Bayern will, because they are an attacking side, leave us with enough space for KakaŽ to run riot in.

We will defeat Bayer...I am gaining a quitet confidence as we get closer to the match day.

I wouldnt be that confident...time passes...Milan is still down. Ancelotti, I think, is shocked and doesnt know what to do to improve situation. He says crap in the interviews and he looks like a person who doesnt know what to do. Hope I am wrong, but it seems like that...

German teams are notorious for defensive and counter-attacking ability. It is their organisation which makes them formidable oponents. Bayern will have resolved to neutralise the Kaka-Pirlo axis. Demichelis will try to hinder them like Poulsen did for Schalke at home. Not sure if Demichelis is dirty like the Dane, though. Plus, Bayern are very strong at home. Seedorf and Kaka need to be very proactive and work together in holding possesion in order to distribute up front. Our full-backs need to be very alert, as Schweinsteigger and Ze Roberto are rapid and can cross at pace. We need Cafu back to his best for this role. I'm slightly weary at starting with Gila and Sheva. I'd prefer Pippo with the Ukranian.

I would like to see us play the X-tree formation for the game in Munchen. We would need to saturate the midfield to keep the ball away from them and also cover the flanks as they are very dangerous there - similar to how we suffocated manU last year, only Bayern are a much more experienced and organised team than the brits.
It won't be an easy game but we have more than enough quality to beat them in both games. The only question is what our state of mind would be - hope we could use the time we have left to raise team spirit and confidence a bit more and enter those games with the right mindset for the Germans are one of the most difficult opponents out there.

Sash22 is an unknown quantity at this point
I say we will kick their azz...
If we manage to stabilize our defence, then we shouldn't be afraid of any team.

So would I Zlat...but u know, three of our strikers would have to be "injured" for Berlu to sanction that formation...

Well, lets see post Reggina, but as I see it, the Milan I know and love showed that they are back yesterday. Lets see if this trend continues in our away match this weekend. (Gol TV will have it for those in the US by the way)

Christmas tree sounds like a secure bet. 3-5-2 could also be deployed, for extra reassurance at the back. Karimi and Ze are tricky b*******. 3-5-2 is a good compromise. I don't think Milan have used this formation, despite the hype surrounding it at pre-season.

4-3-2-1:

-------------Sheva---------
--------Kaka--------Rui-----
Janku/Seedorf--Pirlo--Gattusso
Kaladze--Maldini--Nesta--Cafu
------------Dida-------------

3-5-2:

-----Sheva------Gila-------
------------Kaka----------
Janku---Pirlo---Rino---Cafu
---Maldini--Nesta--Stam---
------------Dida-----------

true, maybe we could give carlo a hand in this
Anyway, who knows, if we didn't have such a narcistic president, today the CL titles at Via Turatti could well be 7 and not 6.

It's true though... we have been storming every one with 4-3-2-1 formation back a few years ago~... Inzaghi is absolutely on-fire. Remember those goals against Bayern? Time passes so quickly and so much has changed in Milan, but our opponent is the same.

Hmm i also think its better to play with the xmas tree formation, but im certain Berlusconi will attack Carlo for that.. and also we should not forget how amazing Gila is when he plays as a lone-striker, let alone behind 2 players like Kaka and Rui! Unfortunately, i dont think Pippo will have a say in this game.. maybe at the San Siro..

Someone us getting a little worried!! Wonder why?

From:TheGuardian: http://football.guardian.co.uk/break...617631,00.html

Quote:
We need more effort, Hoeness tells Bayern players
FRANKFURT, Feb 14 (Reuters) - Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness says his side face certain Champions League defeat by AC Milan unless the players improve their attitude.
Bayern have a 10-point lead in the Bundesliga thanks to a series of streaky victories and the lack of consistency from rivals Hamburg SV and Werder Bremen.

An unconvincing 2-1 win at home to struggling Nuremberg on Sunday was typical of their recent performances and Hoeness has had enough.

"We won't stand a chance against Milan if we play like we did in our last league game," Hoeness told reporters.

"We've been too slow in defence, giving our opponents too much time in midfield and handing them easy chances. "We're not going to get away with it much longer."
Bayern host Milan in the first leg of their Champions League first knockout round tie on Feb. 21.

Before then they travel to face Hanover 96 in the league and Hoeness will be as interested in the effort put in by the players as much as the result.
"We need to rouse ourselves and make more effort," said the former World Cup winner.
Looks like Hoeness has seen our rise in form coincide with the "loss" in form of his team...heh heh heh.

The big Hoeness brother is as crafty a fox as they come. Bayern have always been able to put their act together, and leave their Team-Hollywood image aside, when it came to playing serious games. Plus their dominance in Germany is so obvious that their players tend to "lose interest and concentration" when playing other German teams.
Anyway, what really matters to me is how Milan is doing and we seem to be on the up after a really difficult period. It's building that extra bit of confidence that's really important to us, especially in such big games, for the quality to beat Bayern and any other team in Europe, we have in abundance.
I expect a very, very tough battle in both games with a highly experienced and organised team (IMO, in all of Europe only Juve and Chelski, and maybe Barca too are teams as dangerous as Bayern is) but believe that as long as the real Milan goes out there, come mid-March, bayern will be focusing their effort on the Bundesliga.

Forza Milaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan !!!!!!!
