If Sneijder comes, then Rui Costa needs to go back to Benfica...

But I think Gio was the first one to be reallistic on this thread... maybe Braida is just on a social visit to Ajax... just staying close to Ajax management for future dealings...
or even closer to get girls behind the glass... (hey, someone told me, I've never been there... or have I?)

Sant:

Well, now it's that are showing negativity... Braida could be really signing Sneijder for Milan, why not?

I am not being negative at all... and I know I've critized you in the past for that reason, and you've understood why...

I am being reallistic. You're asking for sources to show you why it is NOT true, instead of asking for sources that CONFIRM it...

How stupid would a newspaper columnist need to be to write an article entitled:
"Ronaldinho not signing with CSKA Sofia of Bulgary this season" (just to give you a weird example)...

If I tell you, why couldn't Braida be in London signing Henry??? what would you think?
You wouldn't consider yourself a pesimist... you would think I am just anxious...

as I think you are... and for players that in my opinnion, are not worth the buzz... like Torres.

So, I'm sorry if I've broken your heart... but I think this thread is a waste of our time.
At least until someone can show a credible source.

Well, Zlatanov, for instance, who HATE the prospect of new signings just as you as well, said that calciomercato is a reliable source...

I'll tell you what, if Sneijder, or Heitinga come to Milan, I will be as happy as you.

but if Sneijder comes, Rui is out... can't afford 3 players in the #10 role, with as much as Rui costs already.

sneijder coming doesnt neccessarily mean rui has to go... sneijder can play in all 4 roles we have in midfield, once rui leaves he can officially take his place but right now, if vogel does go to man utd then sneijder should take his place.

grenoli... what ur not understanding is that sant is telling you that once something seems to be official you can be happy... when its still a rumour then dont bother going crazy because if it ends up going badly then all u do is u hurt yourself (by being dissapointed)... my advice to you when it comes to these rumours is to only give your opinion on the player, and where would he work best in our lineup and so on... without the 'ohhhh man... this guy is gonna make us champions again' ... or the 'ohhhh damn, if this guy comes my favorite player will have to leave' ... u can save that to when its official... learn to be happy in all situations

There are so many rumours surrounding Milan nowadays that I am starting to think that we are going to sign players who do not make headlines like Jorge Andrade, De Jong etc.
Sneijder is really a good player and can develop into a star someday, but I honestly do not foresee him wearing our jersey next season. Maybe in 2007.
Probably we'll change a lot of defenders for the next season but the midfielders will remain the same. But I hope I am wrong and Ballack join us next summer.

Sneijder is a great potential, but people, we play in serie a and our team needs to be tough, and sneijder cant do that. He is good with the ball, fast and can shoot well. But having kaka, pirlo and sneijder in the middle would destroy our defensive sistem. We already feel lack of pure power in our team, and we need to look for someone tougher. Im not saying we need a butcher like blasi or dacourt, but a player like Camoranesi or Gerrard who are real class players and can attack and DEFEND as well. Looks like Camoranesi is leaving juve, and even dough I cannot believe that, putting him on the right in our midfield would be a brilliant move by milan. We will not find a player like Cafu anymore, and you cant play Gattuso on the right with a defensive RB, its a horrible idea. think about that please.

yeh if camoranesi is to be sold by juve (which could be true given that they signed marchionni - not sure if its official though - from parma) then we should definatly look to sign him.

But we don't need to have Pirlo and Sneijder playing together with Kaká, we can make a turnover, and one of outstanding technical quality.

I don't know what people mean when they say that Sneijder will mess up our defensive system. I have watched him play a lot, and he is really tough. Sometimes he reminds me of Seedorf. He can defend and attack even though he is viewd by many as an attack-minded player or an attacking midfielder. I see him more as an all-aroud midfielder that can pretty much do anything. I really like that way he playes and I love his age. I would be excited if he was to join us, even though it doesn't mean that he will be a starter. He will however add great depth in our midfield. Let's wait and see what happens though. If anything, i doubt we will see him in Milano before this summer.

I think that Sneijder would be valuable for us when we use the 4-4-2 formation, with 2 defensive midfielder act as a shield for the defence (Gattuso and Pirlo)... So, where do you want to put Kaka'? as a side midfielder? it would such a waste of talent... But, don't know,, if it's true (Sneijder to Milan) I would like to see it as a variation attacking for Milan.. Just like Berlusconi want us to be, 'The Best Attacking Team In The World'..
