The rest of the starters are just top of their class that yes...you can find in Italy as well, but they belong to other teams and wont leave. That is why, if you want succsess you have to look elsewhere for world class. Look at the other top clubs in the world. It is the same thing. Some players of their own country and the rest is just top class from all over. In fact, us and Juve are two of the few top clubs that have half of our starting teams Italian.
It is just the way it is. If you want to be the best in the world, then you have to get the best from the world. And like I said, yes, some of the best in the world are in Italy but some of them we have, and some of them belong to other teams.
Mate, italian players play in other teams, but foreign players also play in other teams! What's the problem?! If we wanna buy one, we can do it, but I prefer italian one than a foreigner.

I am not a glory hunter who needs only victories. I do not care if we dont win anything for some years if we do grow up our youth. IMO it's significant duty for a club who respects it's history and legends. That's why Milan is so precious for my heart.

i think were perfectly fine the way we are... if a foreign player is better than an italian one then we should definatly look to purchase them, we should always aim for the better, i couldnt care less if hes an alien as long as he helps milan become better im happy... though inter's case crosses the line... there should be atleast 3 or 4 on the field IMO

Rae, what I am trying to say is why complain that we have too many foreigners when half of our starting 11 is Italian. I would understand the complains if we were like mk18 said, Inter.....since i prefer Italian players too. But when you have 5-6 Italians on the field, then there is no room for complains.

i agree that player's quality is more important than where he is from. However, i am a great believer in our beautiful tradition in maintaining some percentage of local players and at the same time keep pace with globalisation. in my opinion we must apply local players to foreigners' ratio to 60%:40%. the great source to fill that 60% is most likely the defenders and GK, since there are more talented italian defenders and GK than italian midfielders or attackers.
at the moment i think our ratio of local:foreigner is about 45%:55%.
also i think locals tend to be more loyal and passionate.
