Gilardino - Inzaghi Kaka Seedorf - Pirlo - Gattuso Serginho - Kaladze - Nesta - Bonera Dida Boriello Foggia - Gourcuff Ambrosini - Vogel - Brocchi Jankulovski - Maldini - Simic - Cafu Coppola further subs: Kalac, Costacurta, Favalli, Amoroso i fear milan will sign another striker so inzaghi will have to sit on the bench and youngsters i would like to feature heavily as gourcuff, foggia and boriello will either be loaned out or rot on the bench ![]() |

I would like to see him wearing the number 7, especially after all those positive opinions about him by Carlo, Vogel, Billy etc. ![]() |

From what I've seen of this guy since I first heard of him, it seems it was a VERY smart move, and not only that, he may well be the next youngster to oust a seasoned star in our side (a la Kaka). Everything about him really does feel like Zidane, his touch, movement, strength and control. Honestly, I suspect we got a few names to come in yet this summer, but right now Gourcuff is certainly one I'd be keeping my eye on closely. |

I would go with something like this, witht he current players
--------------------------- Dida ---------------------------- ---Bonera----- Kaladze ------- Nesta ----- Jankulvolski --------------------------- Pirlo --------------------------- -----------Gattuso--------------------Seedorf---------- ----------------------- Kaka ------------------- ----------------Gilardino---------Inzaghi---------------- Main Subs: Maldini - When healthy, anywhere in defense. If he regains his form, he moves back into starting lineup. Probably pushing Jank out, and moving Kaladze over to LB. Cafu - RB Favalli - LB, maybe CB 3rd string. Allows Maldini to play CB and Jank to sub Seedorf Ambro,Vogel - Backup to Pirlo, Gattuso Brocchi - Backup to RB,DM Gourcuff - Kaka's backup, but also maybe Seedorfs backup if Jank is at LB Other comments (just for the heck of it) I'd rather replace Dida with Buffon/Amelia Would have loved to see Zambrotta here, but alas Still need another TOP foward to slide in to the rotation. Boriello can fill in as 4th striker until he establishes himself. But not as 3rd yet, not at Milan. Still looking for a young defender to sub/learn/grow. |

I guess this leads to another question, Diarra and Gattuso both at the same time? |

Actually, I think they both are simply not good enough for anything more than bench players at Milan, in fact in Zaccardo's case, even that would be pushing it, big time at that.
Grosso had exactly two moments of, some call it brilliance, I see it as some sort of divine intervention, that made him look like a much better player than he really is, IMO - one is the goal vs Germany, the other one is that PK he got for Italy vs Australia (which many would argue was more of a disgrace/cheating than brilliance). Without these two moments, his WC perfomance could be described as average at the very best because, while he did make some nice runs down the left wing, he got caught time and again out of position at the back and even when he was there, his defending was quite questionable. Add to all this the fact that he's 30 yo, what you get is exactly the type of player Inter would go for. |
