btw, the second leg is just a week away - next Wedneday - so each team will have only a game to play between the two encounters.

yeah i know, its just Utd play Everton away this weekend and that will be a very tough game vs a team still fighting to secure Europe. I mentioned their strong record vs top teams in another thread somewhere but basically Fergie cant afford to rest many players, if any.

Then next weekend Utd play away in the Manchester derby, they did request for the game to be moved back 1 day to allow the players more time to recuperate but typically City refused it as they want the maximum opportunity to mess up Utds run in

2 tough away games with not much rest and a trip to the San Siro inbetween, it wouldnt be a problem if we werent still fighting for the league but really that is the priority trophy...

actually it went perfectly for me, i backed under 1.5 goals and Joe Cole to score

Liverpool and Chelsea are football machines rather than teams, they dont take great risks and are happy to put on solid, tactical displays that bore the hell out of neutrals. The only way to make their games interesting is to put money on it

Yea, they lost 1-0 and barely had good effords on goal apart from a Gerrard shot which was briliantly saved by Chech. I don't see Liverpool going through with that kind of play, however Chelsea wasn't any better too but they did get a goal. It was a closed and a very defensive game. I think the return leg will end in a boring 0-0.

As for us, yesterday I was mad but today I am relaxed and excited. I can't wait for wednesday's game to come. We have what it takes to beat them at the SS and I think we will. 2-0 for us is what I think it will be with goals comming from Ambrosini and Kaka.
It will be very important that we get Gattuso back and even more important is the controll of the midfield. If we do that, then we'll controll the pace of the game and the key player for me will be Pirlo.

The team I want to see will be no different that yesterday's except for Inzaghi in place of Gilarino. In case Maldini doesn't make it then Bonera should do the job.

By the way, I read it somewhere in the thread last night and I looked at it today........Rooney's first goal was a handball. Nesta hit the ball up and it hit Rooney's arm which controlled it. I'm not complaining about it but it makes me sick that the british arrogant media isn't even mentioning it but they are fast to complain that their defense is make-shift or what not. What a bunch of arrogant pricks they are. I also went to a united forum and I can't believe how much that think they are through. They are calling Kaka a **** for thanking god; they are cursing at their own team on half-time but in the end pretty much celebrating making it to the final. I guess they forgot that they have to come to Italy.
All I want to say is, stop all the complaining and fighting about Dida, Gila, Brocchi....etc. Let's not stick down to their arrogant and stupid level but go into the game with optimism. They are optimistic because of the second half, but they are forgetting that they only played like that because we let them.....because we were sitting back. That won't happen in Italy. I'll look forward to reading their arrogant media's articles after they come out of the SS with their heads down.

Their CL is over, they just don'w know it yet.
I also hope that our suppoerters will be allowed to support our team the way they know how.

How can you back under 1.5 goals in a game? How on earth do you score half a goal?

I manage to keep myself awake perfectly well during liverpool matches Zlat ... though it does have some benefits to not having the right tv channels to watch the games

It's diappointing but largely typical of Liverpool to beat Barcelona and totally outplay them ... and then lost to the robotics of Chelsea Certain teams just show up the shortcomings of the side, Chelsea being one of them.

I will not congratulate you on the Under 1.5 bet because half of the betting world was heavy on that outcome

@ Zlat : I'm on Chelsea, just like i was before the 1st leg. Pool will come out attacking like crazy at Anfield. No other team can survive that but Chelsea can. Not only they have top quality everywhere, and they'll welcome back Essien and probably Ballack, but psychologically they are the strongest team in the world.
Only such team can survive Anfield in a CL semifinal.
Just look at them what are they doing for whole season long. How many decisive goals they scored in last 5 minutes in EPL or the cup.... how they were a goal down on all 4 ( 1/8 and 1/4 finals) matches and how they always managed to save themselves. It's not luck like some ManU or Pool fan may say, it's psychology and extra quality.
That crazy Drogba will find a way to score or assist again, and it will be enough. Pool won't score 3 goals !

If you're serious.....
that's the way some bookies use in describing the "0 or 1 goals" option.
Under 1.5 means you win only if there's one goal scored or if the final score is 0:0.

And if you find this hard to understand, then i can only imagine how hard it will be for you to find an explanation what the hell does "Under 1.25" or "Over 1.75 goals" means

Lemme disagree with you on the robotics part.
Chelski was a much better side at the Stamford bridge today (still day here).
They play an athletic game, a different game from Milan but quite a quality football as far as I can see. They play well in the middle and in defence, they have DD upfront. They do not seem to get fatigue at all, except for Sheva who I suspect is refuse to take the drug that everyone else in Premiership takes. Drogba was the man today if you ask me, he created the goal, created other chances too. Especially I liked his half-volley back-flick in the path of Lampard. Lamp pulled a nice volley shot that the keeper saved miracleously. I am dying to see Milan - Chelski in Athens. I would hate any other final fixture...
