To see that Maldini is back playing again makes me more happy than I can put into words. We've missed him a lot and he will steer the boat ashore again.

Gourcuff has been giving his chances and did not play better than his team mates who are playing in his position.

The 'New Zidane' needs time and playing time in Serie A to adapt to Italian football which is physically harder and defensively stronger than the French league where he came from. Time and patience is the key word for him. He can blossom, I believe that. He is a good talent. But his development will only stop if he can't play.

The solution is to loan him out to a Serie A team who would let him play on a regular basis. And it needs to be a team that is both not a direct rival for Lo Scudetto and also not a relegation battler. Like Udinese for instance.

Yeah, Maldini and Pato. I also like to know how Serginho can play. I'm fedding up Favalli's attacking skill, Cafu atleast can make some crosses and be confident with the ball, but Favalli make me feel like we have no left wing. Even Devil (Diavolo) needs wings to soar in the sky and give fear to others, right? If he can play good, we'll worry less about Gallani's Winter Mercato. I still remember at CL final 2005, after equalized 3-3 with us, all S.Gerard do it prevent Serginho.

I think he will come in as a sub for Favalli. Maybe Maldini will not start, too. However, I like this formation.

Aside from the much awaited match for the EURO 2008 Qualifications Italy - Georgia on Saturday with 5 Milan players, AC Milan will play a friendly match with the Basque team Athletic Bilbao, coached by Joaquin Caparros, on Friday night at the Stadio San Mamés at 20:45.

The match with AC Milan is the third friendly match of Athletic Bilbao. In the first two, Athletic beat Fiorentina 3-0 on August 18, and drew 1-1 on September 19 against Real Sociedad.

Although, Milan will not count with 8 players of the so-called first team Kaka, Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso, Massimo Oddo, Massimo Ambrosini, Dario Simic, and Daniele Bonera, it will be interesting to see how well AC MILAN do after their spectacular comeback when beating Lazio 1 - 5 AC Milan in the Olimpico.

Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti still has top first team players available, including Alessandro Nesta, Filippo Inzaghi, Nelson Dida, Alberto Gilardino. If playing, the question is whether Gilardino will keep scoring? Let's hope so for his morale and the team morale.

Like Brocchi and Serginho? They've been really impressive lately. There is an upside to playing Gourcuff i.e. he'll improve, Brocchi and Serginho won't.

UK people can read a big article on Kaka and another on Pato in the current edition of football magazine 'FourFourTwo'. I read them both in WHSmiths and left with a huge grin on my face and an excitement of seeing just what Pato can do.

I hope he and Gilardino can forge a good partnership tonight.

Champions mag & world Soccer also mention them both. Champs is very good for coaching info too.

You'll need TVAnts

The match starts at 20:45 Central European Time, which for you Warro is....hmmmm 14:45, i think (the same time when CL matches usually start)
