I think about the same formation but with Max on the right side and Pirlo on the left side.

last time Pirlo took the left side just accomodating Max out for suspended and trying emerson at his best role of play in leverkusen, roma & madrid as anchor (pirlo post)

I guess Max will be back in left side

a 4-3-2-1 will work. I think Carlo will go for a safe one and make sure that Milan at lesat won't lose.

I opt Pirlo on the left because Max play much better with his right foot than his left foot. In the other hand, Pirlo can play with both feet very well. I think, Max always play on the left because we have Gattuso. If not, Ambro would take that position just like he did when Gattuso didnt play (in the time when Seedorf play on the left side).

A very important game for us!

I actually think Gila could be decisive here. He scored twice against Fiorentina last season, and he appears to be thriving on the competition with Pato. I think Gila will play from the start, and then Pato will come on in the second half, once Fiorentina's defenders start getting tired.

No Gattuso, but Emerson appears to be getting back to his old self again, which means that it won't be a huge problem for us. I am not sure if Jankulovski will play. I think it's more likely that Maldini will play left back, with Kaladze and Nesta in the middle.

I'm actually pretty optimistic about this game

No man. Max is a left footed player so he has better left foot than another one
When Gattuso can't play for any reason then Carletto put Max on right side becoz seedorf -the right footed- more settle play from left side dribble and penetrate to centre and looking chance to shoot with his right foot

I thought Emerson did really well in the DM role against Reggina and should be deployed there in the 1st team, leaving Pirlo to show his quality ie. providing super accurate passes and crosses for the strikers ! Hope the winning momentum for milan continues against fiorentina

When you think of it, if Emerson is gonna play in London, he needs match fitness.

I never know that Ambro is left footed but I could be wrong. As far as I know, Seedorf or Ambro play on the left because of Gattuso. At the beginning of his carreer in Milan Gattuso was really bad at passing, dribbling, crossing but his defensive skills was extraordinary and he could only use his right foot in that time.

But anyway Forza Milan! Hope to see Pato score his first away-goal in Florenz.

MAybe Emerson cant paly two games in 4 days still? But it is strange...
Serginho is "fit" but is again not in the lineup, why?
It would be great to see marek on the left and paolo in the middle with nesta. Kaladze is making waaay to much mistakes in last few games. But the question is can marek play for 90 min? I dont think he can...

We'll see, but 100% is that Gila will be uprfont alongside Kaka' and Seedorf.

Not a good idea to play Gila up front alone as he is almost incapalbe of scoring. But I heard that Pato is suffering from a minor injury. We'll see how it goes.

Anyway, if Milan draws or loses, Gila will be under the fire again no matter what!! (Unless Dida plays of course! )
