The striker we have targeted and are in talks with is Drogba, according to market expert Luca Cattani.
He said the only concern is Drogba post surgery with his knee. He probably needs to undergo knee surgery again in summer.

Their nationality doesn't matter much when it comes to the dressnig room. The only real factor is their personality and I have neither heard good nor bad things as for these players.

I take it the Cesar of Inter is the winger who got sent off recently and not their goalkeeper?

Cordoba could be an interesting proposition.

I would love 2 see Barzagli and Zaccardo as the latter could also play as a centre back, they're both young and experienced. But i wouldnt mind having Vargas and zapata on our team.and i would also like 2 bring back Borriello if Ronaldo leaves.

I cannot wait to see what kind of mess the management is going to make this transfer season.

As for possible transfer targets, a new goalkeeper, two wing backs, one central defender, a midfielder who can sub for Kaka, one or two new strikers (depends on whether Ronaldo and Gilardino will be leaving).
Agree generally,I also suggest a new young DM to replace brocchi(our DMs are no 80s).It's more than happy to see zambrotta/zapata/eboue/cigarini/macini/benzema at san ciro next season.

Jim, I don't know which Cesar that is. Even though the only thing I found on Julio Cesar(GK) was that he signed a 3 year deal in 2005, I'm sure he has signed an extencion since then so it only makes sense however to be the midfielder.

But this is Inter, so anything is possible

Drogba: Milan v Barca
Wednesday 6 February, 2008
Reports in the Italian Press suggest that the race to sign Ivorian striking star Didier Drogba is now between Milan and Barcelona.

Drogba has been unsettled at Chelsea since the departure of Coach Jose Mourinho at the end of September.

The 29-year-old marksman has stressed that he will quit the Blues in the summer, prompting a clamour for his signature.

Initial reports in France Football suggested that Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan all had a chance of luring Drogba, but it seems the field has now been reduced to two.

“Next summer I will leave London and my future is Barcelona or Milan,” Drogba allegedly told teammates at the Ivory Coast’s African Nations Cup camp.

It is suspected that the crucial factor may be the future of former boss Mourinho, given the close relationship between the two men.

The Portuguese tactician has been strongly linked with the Barcelona bench this summer as Frank Rijkaard struggles to deliver, but there are also whispers that Mourinho could replace Carlo Ancelotti at San Siro.

One advantage that Barcelona have is Samuel Eto’o. Drogba is known to be an admirer of the prolific Cameroon star and has reportedly stated his desire to play alongside him at some stage in his career.

Reported on Channel4 and Goal.

Drogba would be a great addition to the side considering Ronaldo injury issues. I would still like to see Benzema but i feel that a partnership of Pato and Benzema is very risky considering their age and experience. Drogba would be an instant hit at Milan and could be that target man that Milan have been looking for. I would be interested to see how much Chelsea want to Drogba.

£30 million for a 30 year old striker isn't such a good idea, look at Shevchenko!

We could go for a guy like Eto'o, Aguero or Ibrahimovic, but I don't think their perspective teams would want to sell the player, especially at the price we'd be willing to offer. Believe me, if Drogba does end up signing with us (that'd be a miracle), he would not cost 30 million.

I think Gilberto Silva's unrest at Arsenal could be taken advantage of. He's far superior to both Emerson & Brocchi and he has the added bonus of being able to play as an emergency cb. I know it won't happen, as we have this fascination of keeping sub-par players, but i'd get rid of both Emerson & Brocchi and bring in the Brazilian captain.

In terms of keepers, i think Shay Given could be another good move. He's one of the most consistent keepers you'll ever see and he's easily as good as Frey, should be cheaper too.
