Super sub? WTF? IMHO, Zambrotta is the best defender we have on our team. Well, maybe it's a tie between him and Nesta, but personally I would rather have Zambrotta. He is an incredible signing.

well.. hopefully this isnt another Emerson's or Ronaldo's signing. dont get me wrong those players were great but if we talking about their contributions to Milan well.. i was expecting more than what they already produced in their times at Milan until now

anyway welcome on board Zambrotta. i am glad that you choose UEFA Cup over CL. that's showing you arent a glory hunter. i am starting to like you more than before (of course you are always one of those best defenders, not to mention your ability to play as LB or RB which make us many options to put where you have to play ) seems like Zambrotta has Milan's value (loyalty, trust, etc) in himself. and for the sake of human beings we have an options rather than to see Oddo's crosses which in many times i was thinking he shots the ball to Pluto or maybe Mars whenever he did those poor crosses

ps. special credit for Valentina Ligouri who got homesick so she persuaded his husband to back to Italy. she is Kirsten Pazik in a reverse version

This is a second great signing from Milan this summer. 8.5mln for probably one of the worlds best fullbacks in nothing! Zambrotta is an extremly athletic person who can play top football, which you will see in EURO. Defensively THE BEST fullback on earth, and attackingly wise one of the best ( if Maicon and especially Alves are considered better, ok I can admit that maybe ).

The key to use Rambo ( his nickname) in a right way is the OPPOSITE of what Rijkaard did! We need a compact team with firm istem and then Zambrotta takes his role and makes it impossible to pass by. Playing Gattuso and Zambrotta on the same side will be wonderfull to see. Im thrilled to see Gianluca in Milan shirt!!!!

Now move on for another fullback...

Well im fed up Peg leg now every cross goes out for a throw in or goal kick, crossing ability 9/10 quality of cross for milan 1/10

and rumour has it Sheva's wife wants to move back as she has forgotten her Italian

this is a great buy. He might be 30+, but he has a couple of years left in him - and he is established in Serie A.. and he can play both as right- or left-back.

Hey you! You should follow the discussion, not just got into discussion and then said : WTF!!

I gave comment to other person who commented that he is old etc and I said EVEN he is old, he COULD be etc. I just want to say that even he couldnt be getting into the starting line-up, he could be then our super sub.

Welcome Zambrotta, IMO you are the best LB in the world.
Hope to see hear the same new about Dinho and Benzema very soon.

and we are talking about improving the squad depth by buying a champion only to be selling another?

let me guess you want to say that Oddo is a champion? Based on what he crosses, dribbling, passing or shooting? Oddo is the worset player in the squad even worse than Favalli.

As much as you (and I too, if I may add) distate his crossing, dribbling etc., he contributed to the world cup, our Champion League trophy last year, and was deemed to be one of the best cross-ers in Italy when he was at Lazio.

Take me no wrong: I don' like Oddo because his crossings were awful and was unfit for most of the last seasons. If there is someone has to take the blame for our dismay last season then Oddo has to be one. But saying that Oddo is the worst player in the squad is a mis-statement; his physical level is just plain awful almost throughout. Like himself said, if he had given the chance to recover physically his energy, he may even do well in EURO2008 (but Donadoni is taking no chance of that).

Worse than Favalli? I won't comment on that. If we are to focus on the past, I'll rather prefer to look at a player over a span of time...
