He shouldnt be world class player but must be decent one.
about afellay i have watched him for times in eredivisie matches which is broadcasted by local tv here. and my impression is good on this player either for his abilty or his style of play that will complete carlo's option for midfield section.
Plus, i think either his price or wage still in milan range in which around 5 years back become a main issue for our milan's talk

siregar, if you say so.. an AM which is 25-28 in age, not a must for world class but decent one, so the player gonna be who ?
name it...

My doubt is only about his age. Actually I prefer more young and fresh players if our coach is not Ancelotti.

He is the invisible one. None can recognize him even he plays on the field. His contribution cant be seen.

Just guess who he is.

We don't need the 11th player
we are too strong and we can play like this

Put Bonera over Kaladze and add Ambrossini there because based on FIFA rules football should be playing by 11 players on the field not 10. After that you'll get my deal. I'm hoping that we could cut the crap with playing 3 DM again

if you look in any basic soccer manual they will tell you the player set up should be 4-3-3-1 (4 offense, 3 midfielders, 3 defenders, 1 goalie)

but i can't ever recall a team anywhere who actually has such a line-up

i'm not convinced the recent 2-1-3-4-1 milan line-up is the best either. it seems a bit confusing to me and i imagine on the field the players might not always have distinct ideas about where to play because their position often seems half and half...except the 4 defenders of course...their postitions are very specific

i wouldn't mind seeing the coach try a 3-3-3-1-1 line-up (3 offense, 3 midfielders, 3 defense, 1 sweeper, 1 goalie). i think it would give players like pato and kaka room to stay up closer to the other team's goalie to receive nice long passes from pirlo from the midfield instead of always trying to pass their way through the other team's defense and/or hoping for a breakaway dribble

not sure where i would put everyone...but maldini would definitely play the sweeper position...i've watched him "sweep" up the opposition after they've gotten through the other defenders so many times!

I've never seen it reported reverse like you have it. A 4-3-3 is 4 defenders, 3 mid, 3 offense - not the other way around.

Most books I've read use the 442 or 433 as the "simple" example. (again, the leftmost # is defenders)

Personally, I like Milan at 4-1-2-1-2 but it would help to have good wingbacks. (such as cafu and serginho) Oddo on the right did not do very well. Janku on the left was oft injured. Kaladze messed up a lot, even at CD, and Maldini just isn't fast enough for LB. Hoping Janku is healthier and Zambrotta can provide backup there if needed. I have faith in Bonera. IMHO, he improved last year.
