You are right and that shows how many options Carlo has now with Kaka and Dinho in the team
With Ade(for example) we would have had more strength forward but less mobillity

With Dinho at 80% of his potential this team is like an atomic bomb
And to cover the defence they can use ball possession at maximum

I would favor a 4-3-2-1 formation

--------------Abbiati----------------------

Zam/Oddo---Nesta--Maldini-----Jankulovski

--------Gattuso/Flamini--Pirlo----Seedorf

---------Kaka---------Ronaldinho-------

-------------Pato/Inzaghi--------------

a midfielder should own the 3 "C" in order to define him as a very good mid: he has to be able to contrast, to create and to conclude.
So, I don't see a Milan mid line without two contrast mid as Flamini and Gattuso or Ambro.
so, if :
Pirlo must create,
Kakŕ & R10 are ahead,
and Seedorf now has discovered himself as a striker,
maybe I'm wrong, anyway I think Carletto solution is going to be the same I wrote above.

After sobering up I have decided that this is the bst way to play home attacking games:
--------------abbiatti----------
--zambrotta--nesta-kaladze-flamini----
---------------pirlo--------
-----gattuso------seedorf--------
---------kaka'---ronaldinho-----
--------------pato------------

This is extremly attacking formation but Milan can play it with this strong defence. And there are also variations with Ambrosini, Pippo, Jankulovski, Bonera, Flamini as a midfielder and so on....

Carlo has a REALLY TOUGH mission now and if we MIX, IF, we mix it well we will have super strong team. Flamini doesnt even know that he is on his way back to play as a LB again

We are strong now, and if Ronaldinho comes back to play well again we will be magical! And if we manage to rule out long injuries of Nesta, Zambrotta, Pirlo and so on....we will be more then ok.

But the fact stays that we are unserious for not signing normal GK that can give stability to our defence.

Ciao ragazzi from Adriatic sea, Im comeing back in 2 days so I will join you constantly on MM. Stay good!

cmon who reall thinks gattuso/ambro r first team over flamini? Gattuso is a legend but he hasnt had a good season in 2 years. Less of name, and more off form

Its not "first" team and "second"team. Those are two totaly seperate and IMO equal teams, with which, we could dominate UEFA, Serie A, and Coppa Italia.

Carlo won't change his template.

----------Sheva-Kaka----------

------------Gaucho------------

-------Seedorf----Gattuso-----

-------------Pirlo--------------

Jank---Maldini----Nesta--Zambro

------------Dida----------------

I think Carlo's choices are really going to be based on form, with a team as strong as Milan's now, I honestly do not see how he can say he has a distinct first and second team.

If everyone is fit and healthy, I'd play:

-------------Abbiati
Zambro---Nesta---Maldini---Janku
--------------Pirlo
-----Flamini----------Seedorf
---------Kaka------Dinho
--------------Pato

Seedorf has shown he has the ability to play as a central midfielder, he did this when 4-1-2-1-2 was THE formation for Milan, during the Rui Costa years and early Kaka period.

I also think that Pato is really not as much of a second striker as many people want to portray. He truly is the heir to Ronaldo (R9), he has the pace, he has the touch, and he can finish, I think its a question of confidence.

However, there are so many intangibles! Sheva, will he catch form? How will Boriello fair? How will these two Uruguayans fair? Will Senderos make an impact? Will Nesta recover? How does Carlo play Pippo?

The formation will clearly change for Carlo in different situations, I think for the most part fans who do not like Carlo cite his lack of change, but I think the reality is that Carlo really has not had the choice to play anyone but his rather standard 11.

Against Arsenal in the Champions League, it was so obvious, the midfield was exhausted and he did not have confidence in Emerson (who, arguably was not really needed) but more telling was his lack of faith in Gourcouff, without Seedorf, Carlo did not trust anyone.

Now, even with Kaka injured, we have Ronaldinho and Seedorf to call upon. Carlo truly has a wealth of talent, but there are certainly players that are going to lose out.

Seedorf will lose out to Ronaldinho, and if Seedorf drops back to midfield, where Flamini seems to be in place to take either Ambro or Rino's spot, both could find themselves on the bench, though I think Seedorf could be pushed to the bench with Rino coming out with Flamini to shield Pirlo.

I think Pato needs to play more, and if Sheva is the reason why he does not do as well as he surely can become, I will hate him even more than I do now. Boriello seems to be poised for a Crespo-like existence (hopefully he can play as well Crespo did) and Inzaghi will offer the scoring know-how that we all have loved him for.

The reality is that this squad offers change, and I think the system is rather set, it will either be 4-1-2-1-2 or the famed Christmas tree. Who will play? That's what form and depth will determine.

So Kalac is second in the pecking order? Pathetic.
