Disappointed to see Genoa lose, I was really rooting for them to get that fourth spot...They deserve it after putting a wonderful effort this year and put a great team and only to think they just came last year from Serie B. I hope they get that fourth spot and not Roma or Fiorentina. Roma will fall apart when they fail to make the CL and it'll be interesting to see how many players will want out.

Milan will be tied on points with Juve if they win (I dont think its gonna be that easy to beat Torino, cause we are playing like shyz, n they will close up their already tight defence). If we tie on points we will be third still cause our head to head record is (3-2 Juventus) so they will be second for now until we play them in a couple of weeks.

So what? We win 2:0 at the San Siro and that is it...

But it doesnt matter anyway. Our season is a complete failure and Im disgusted by the face that for past 3 years we have to be on the hunt for 3rd or 4th place.

I agree Genoa does deserve it, but to be perfectly honost I still hope Fiorentina can make it. The thing is that if the Italian clubs are gonna put up any fight in Europe next year, Fiorentina is a much safer bet than Genoa, with all due respect.

It would be their second succesive year, and perhaps Champions League qualification again, could help them build a team to 'replace' Roma at the top of Serie A. They already have quite a good squad, and their earlier success ensures that they have a decent structure aswell, furthermore, they've been linked with loads of quality players during the year, so perhaps they just might make the jump.

Ofcourse in terms of the scudetto it wouldn't be to good for us, to have another contender, but I would still very much like the Italian teams to do better in Europe, and that's why I hope Fiorentina can make 4th. Also I don't think Roma has any chance of getting 4th at all this year.

Can't you try to enjoy, just once, the fact that we can be 2nd (so not 3rd nor 4th) at the end of the day ? Of course we should fight for the first place, of course we should play better, but we did some great games this year, some good games and some (very) bad games, there is an improvement compared to the last year and the previous ones in Serie A when we were just horrible for 95% of the season and just made 2-3 great games per season.

French people are known to never be happy of what they have, mrki, you could be French !!

Go, be happy. Then you can start supporting Genova.

2nd or 3rd is the same coz its direct CL place. So yes, I dont care. When Milan is not scudetto contenders Im not happy. That is who I am and that is how it should be in ac Milan always. And when we dont win anything for 2 years, things need to be analised and solved. And not say: "its all good, we will work slight adjustments...we can be 2nd..."

We had injuries and stuff, I can see that. But the way we played games vs Cagliari away, Lecce away, Torino away, Reggina home and so on...few more was disgusting and pathetic display by our "star" players and our coach. We could have been in scudetto race even with this team if we hadnt lost like 8-10 points just coz of starting wrongly and playing cowardly football vs small teams.

I can understand we dissagree. But this is what I think.

I knew Darmian wouldn't play, Flamini is at right back and Clarence is actually benched :O. Goes to show how bad Mattioni must be.

this formation looks ok, my only concern is whether maldini and senderos can cover the space as we're actually playing with 3 defenders.

The presence of both ambro and flamini could actually give pirlo the necessary space.
We'll see but I think this could work.

zambro--senderos--maldini
^
------------ambro--------+--
--becks---------------flamini
------------pirlo------------
------------kaka------------
----pato---------pippo-----

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good, very good decisions by Carlketto tonight. When its right, its right no doubt about it.

We have no fullbacks and Flamini can do it well. Plus, we cant play Seedorf as we would have a midfield without any player capable of playing defensive phase. Maybe if Clarence played as RM but he doesnt interpret that role very well.

Zambrotta behind Ambro's back could get some space and cover, as well as Beckham can get good cover coz of Flamini's fast tackles and covering of space.

EDIT:

Idont know is Flamini RB or LB, but in round 1 vs Bologna he was eventually switched to a RB in the 2nd half. In this team we have now 5 players able to shoot within 25m: Pato, Kaka', Beckham, Flamini, Pirlo. It would be good to use that.

Carlo never plays with 3 defenders, so it must be a RB/LB.

See you guys in chat!

Zambrotta and Ambrosini have good shots from outside the box, although Ambro lacks accuracy

i agree with most of you, thats a good formation considering all of the injuries in the defense
