Probably curious since it appeared right under your post but it involved no expletives or Premiership bashing

Yes, he would like to play for Real Madrid. But if tomorrow he signs for Barcelona, he wont complain either...

But again it comes down to risk. Why wait ? The right players are there now and say we do lose out on them, who do we go for then ? It'll be players who are ok, but not our top targets. I'm not saying this is always the case but i don't see why we need to delay things. Everyone can see our weaknesses, so why not act on them now.
Well, the transfer period isn't over yet and I'm not aware that Milan will not sign anyone, so it might be a moot point. But I don't see the need to sign anyone just for the sake of signing anyone, nor do I see the need to act in a rash manner. Maybe because of the situation with the scandal and the uncertainty surrounding Europe and because of a couple of unreasonable owners from other clubs, the right players aren't available now. At least not at anything approaching a reasonable deal. There is already a strong, if flawed, squad in place, so I see no reason to make panic buys. Milan will not embarrass itself either in the league or in Europe with the current squad. But again, the transfer period is not over and many, many deals will be completed by many teams tonight and tomorrow.

not sure how true this is but I guess Sobis is offically a Betis player now and has signed an 8-year contract with them
Another Denihlson in the making maybe?

Hope this finally puts and end to the Oliveira soap opera.

I think it's a little ridiculous of players to sign contracts that are that long. I bet there's also a buyout clause of a stupendous amount also.

Rick, no one is talking about making deals for the sake of them and especially not rushing them through in the last day and a bit left of this window.

What i'm saying is that before the summer transfer period began nearly every fan could see we needed a mix of a new rb, a cb, probably a new gk as Dida isn't likely to renew, a new midfielder and 1 if not 2 strikers.

They've had the whole summer, they could have done an awful lot more than what they have done so far. Yes there was the trial, but it doesn't stop you planning ahead does it. They should have had all these preliminary negotiations sorted out before hand, so it would be just a case of a meeting with club and player to reiterate all the ground work done by people like Leonardo or Ceasre Maldini rather than wasting time with it now. This Oliveira deal for example is a joke, if we were that set on getting him why wasn't all the hard work done earlier?

The rb slot is exactly the same, how many suitable rbs are there ? Everyone of us can rattle of a list of 3 or 4 players that could all improve the squad yet nothing has been done. Really how difficult can it be to get Oddo ? I mean come on. Yes this could all change by tomorrow, but it's not a deal that needs to be left so late is it. It could have been wrapped up inside a week if handled correctly.

I just think alot of what we've done this summer has been unprofessional and it's time for a change.

JimUK: Bonera can play right back also...but I generally agree with what you have said.

I am mystified by the sluggishness but willing to give the management a chance until tomorrow.

Sluggishness is a good word to use Hasan and i too do not want to say too much as everyone is aware things can turn around on the last day.

I also think we've been too indecisive on alot of things.

How in god's hell do you take the player for a medical when you haven't agreed terms with the club first (and got their permisson)???

We should've negotiated with the club first damn it!

This is beyond ridiculous from our management

we are not sure that all those things that came out in the papers are true.
In fact, how plausible does it sound someone with Braida's or Galliani's experience to do something as stupid as that?
Chances are there was some sort of an agreement but Betis just tried to make the best of time running out for us and started getting picky about whatever.

For what it's worth, this site claims that Milan's signing of Oliveira is imminent.

Given that the deadline is tomorrow, the signing has to be imminent

Which it may very well be, therefore the signing wouldn't be imminent.
