I'm completely with Geo on this one...

It would be great it we would sell Ronaldinho to City for 35-40 M and buy a player that could fit as AM in 4-3-1-2, like Pastore, for example, and we could actually buy another player for the same money, say Pastore + Hernanes.

Don't get me wrong, Ronaldinho is great this season, right now he's passer no. 1 in the world, but there's a BIG possibility that he will fade after World Cup, and he can fit ONLY on left side of attack. That would mean we must stick with 4-3-3 and that's not good, because it fits only to Ronaldinho and for our current roster 4-3-1-2 is much better.

35m for Ronaldinho Come on guys, that sounds like cheating in football manager.
Add manager > Manchester City > Buy Ronaldinho for 35m.

That doesn't sound realistic 35 - 40 million for Ronaldinho I can't see anyone paying that much and he is 30 and not one of the top 5 in the world anymore. Now maybe City (cause only they will pay more than 15 mil) will want him just to have Ronaldinho if it's offered take it but I doubt it will be.

MAybe Milan will just bring in Yepes, Astori and one CF and maybe CM. Low xost mercato again means we cannot compete next year also. Lets see and hope it will not be that way again.

This way I can also be an owner of Milan. Go and work without money.

Only English clubs would try to buy Ronaldinho (and even if some Spanish or Italian clubs join the race to sign him, I don't think he'll want to stay in Italy nor return in Spain) ...

The fact is that if he leaves, I think that will be because he asked to leave and as a consequence, we will be able to do like if we don't want and ask for a higher price.

Actually, for this Ronaldinho, a price between 25 and 30M would be fair, but why being fair when a club like Wolfsburg wants to sell Dzeko for 40M, when Real is able to pay 90M for C.Ronaldo, when Manchester City splashes tons of money in each mercato, ...

We finally agree on something !!

It is odd that there is noooooooooo money to spend , as the guy's trying to sell Liverpool said if you try to run a top level club with no debt then you are mis managing the club as its not possible to compete and you'll make less and less money each year . When you look at who we are talking about and who mgt are talking about the gulf in class in huge and we are not speculating about ridiculous transfers like Madrid or City just good value good players.
I'd honestly love to have a chat with MGT and see why we cannot spend even though we have no debt at all.

Another problem in Italy and more especially for us as we want to be financially clean : TV rights are going to become collective and no more individual.

Instead of about 90M received for these rights, we're going to earn "only" 77M next season.

Just for information, Barcelona earned something like 130M last season ...

And another information: Milan (but not only us in Italy), German clubs and French clubs are the more balanced ones among the best championships. If someday UEFA and Platini (he speaks a lot but doesn't do anything) decide to show their balls by applying new rules for the European competitions ...

Abate can't, Antonini is not really good at defending, he's good at going forward with winger like Dinho, not by his own.

yes, AM, CM ( Hernanes ), one LB and CB so Thiago can play RB. But it seems we have no money again. How is that possible?

I think thats even too much to expect. I dont think we'll spend more than 10m and in the end we give contract extentions to most of our oldies. Dinho, gattuso, zambrotta etc. Our MGT is living in a fantasy world, they still think all these (EX!) big names are the best around.

Well, with 4-3-1-2, our team would be like that:

GK: Abbiati, ? (or let's just call back Storari)
RB: Abate, Zambrotta
LB: Antonini, ?
CD: T.Silva, Nesta, Yepes, ?, Albertazzi?
Midfield: Flamini, Pirlo, Seedorf, Ambrosini, ?, Player_From_Primavera?
AM: ?, Verdi?
FW: Pato, Borriello, Huntelaar, ?

I did this like if Dida doesn't sign another contract, Favalli retires, Kaladze is sold or "fired", Oddo leaves, Gattuso is sold (one between him and Ambrosini has to be sold because Flamini will probably step up a little more and as a consequence, one between our Captain and Gattuso is going to be useless: regarding the form of the players this season and what said Gattuso when he didn't play, well, my choice is all done, unfortunately, and Gattuso could leave for Bayern or Manchester United, I don't know, but I think we can still sell him for 10M), Ronaldinho is sold, Mancini isn't kept, and Inzaghi leaves (or can stay one more year but ony as 5th striker).

We would need a LB (and if needed, we would be able to promote De Vito for some games), a CD who isn't Astori (nor Yepes as I already counted him in the arrivals), a central midfielder (another profile of player compared to what we have), an AM (with Verdi supporting him, we need 2 players if we don't want to do like Inter with Sneijder, once the guy is injured, the team can't play) and a 4th striker (Paloschi or someone else).

5 players, and with the sales of Gattuso and Ronaldinho in this case, we would be able to buy some interesting and young players (not too young for the AM position).

It's already a lot, but it's something possible.

PS: I already see Mrki saying "Seedorf and Pirlo still in that team ?!", so I already reply by saying that we can give them the same position ... which means that Seedorf is the replacement of Pirlo.

The Dinho rumours are fairly interesting. As important as he's been this season, I still wouldn't regret selling him if a decent offer came by (25-30 million is a realistic possibility). What's important is how we then spend that money. In reality, we already need a defender, midfielder and forward for next season and without Dinho, we'd need an AM to fill the void.

The defender may be possibly gotten at a relatively cheap price (after all, we don't necessarily need a starter). However, our midfield atm is up for debate, mainly due to problems regarding the average age. Our forward line needs someone of the highest calibre and without Dinho, we'd need an AM capable of starting in the lineup. Knowing this is what we need it could cost a large sum.

Baresi has also commented today saying Milan has had a good season given pre-season expectations. He also says that the club needs a defender, midfielder and attacker and is confident that despite what's said, the club will make a move in the summer market.

Sportune, a website about sports business, economics, sponsoring, ... announced today that Ronaldinho just refused the new contract and they say he's negotiating with Manchester City for an improved contract. One month ago, this same website announced that Ronaldinho would be on the way to accept a 6M/year contract in Milan.

Anyway, if we renew Ambrosini for a lower salary, let Oddo, Kaladze, Dida and Favalli leave, we'll spend 2.3+4+3+1.2=10.5M less compared to the current season, and we'll save 5.3M from the following year.

We clearly know this money won't be invested in transfers as our management wants to decrease our astonishing budget for wages (which is obviously something correct to do).

But by saving this money, we would be able to spend a bigger part of the potential sale of Ronaldinho for example ...

(Damn, each time I have to concentrate on my studies, I come here to post something, hard to be a student !! )

Some Croatian reports say that Milan will try to sell Pato and Ronnie to buy Dzeko and Milos Krasic.....
