Mexes is about three classes above a healthy and inform Kaladze.
Mexes is overrated as he is not as good as how people rate him(top 5 CB in the world) but still miles ahead of anyone on the Milan team with the exception of Nesta(when healthy) and T. Silva(can't really judge him). In my opinion, he is a top 20 CB in the world/Europe and probably top 5 CB in Series A last few years. He is strong, tackle hard and great at set pieces. He is a better version of Rio. |

Harsh yet so true. Problem is, at the moment we have either very young, or very old players. We need more players at the 26-27 mark, who have a future ahead of them, yet have still experienced plenty. That is why Mexes can be a beneficial purchase. We certainly don't want two newbies to Series A playing at CB next year (not disregarding Silva in anyway!). ![]() |

Actually, people are not bought with one signing, we just notice that it looks like we could take the right direction, the one everybody has asked for since 5 years. But anyway, even if we buy 4 young promising players and 2 established star, some people will be unhappy. Young and promising players don't make a team winning CL, but seriously, do you really think we will have a chance in CL next year ?? I don't expect anything but a quarter finals, if that happens, it will be a very good CL campaign for us. I could also ask you another question: do you think we would have had a chance in CL next year with Kaka' and the current team ? Do you think it is better to keep the current squad or to add promising talents in it ? It's not like if our team was an Arsenal bis, and with few signings, our team could look very different to the one from the last few years (Pato + Flamini + Cissokho + Thiago Silva, 4 new starters for the next CL campaign). |

1. They are not in CL 2. They have been broke for the last two years. 3. They have an aging squad but with some very solid young stars like De Rossi, Aqualini, Motta and even Menez. 4. Berlu and Galli had openly said how much they admire Mexes for the past three years. Anyhow, lets see how this plays out. |

We got Thiago Silva and Cissokho for our defence for next year. Ok, Maldini is now not playing with us but with one quality defender we should be ok. Then we need one new creative player, either to play in the midfield or to play behind strikers. For forward department we are now negotiating for Dzeko. The rest is to sell/release some players (some have been done like Sheva and Senderos) and to add some backup players (I choose experienced ones with average wages). Quote:

Sorry mate, Daniel Alves was too expensive. I won't give so much money only for player like him. Quote:
If we get Dzeko and Hernanes I can't hope for Santa since that will be an ideal summer transfer. A defender like Mexes will already make me happy if players I mentioned come to Milan. ![]() |

Yes, and ?
Seedorf can be very useful thanks to his experience and a good rotation from Leonardo. Seedorf is now useless when he plays more than 30 Serie A games and all European games. Just think about it, sell Seedorf if you want, but to do what ? You won't buy a good midfielder with the sale of Seedorf, because at his age, don't expect more than 5M (7-8M at best) from his sale ... PS: I'm not in the Seedorf haters bandwagon of this forum ... he was horrible this year, he was very average last year, there were some signs of decline two years ago, but he always plays. Just try to think how the player could be properly used. Too easy to say "sell him" like everyone says here. If we had to sell all the players who under-perform(ed), we would have to sell Seedorf this year, Pirlo last year, Ambrosini, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Dida, even Gattuso last year, Kaka' (oups it's done), Maldini last year or two years ago, Bonera, Ronaldinho, and actually most of our players regarding the last two years as none of them did two excellent seasons. We would struggle to get Mexes for less then 20 million euro, with Janko in the deal or not. Have Roma expressed interest in our Czech LB? ![]() |

Just when we were starting to talk about Mexes, more Dzeko news. Again, we already know this, but some official and encouraging words from Wolfsburg:
WOLVES EXPECT SECOND MILAN BID Wolfsburg are expecting another offer from AC Milan for striker Edin Dzeko, despite turning down an initial approach from the Serie A side. The Rossoneri seem set to return with a second bid for the 23 year-old, with reports suggesting vice-president Adriano Galliani will visit the Northern Germany city in the next few days to discuss a deal. Wolves general manager Jurgen Marbach would be willing to open negotiations for the right price, having already turned down a 30million euro bid. "We don't have an official inquiry from Milan, but I have been given the impression Milan's interest is not over yet," said Marbach. "We would not close the door to any talks. We have all the time in the world." Reports in Italy suggest Marco Borriello may be offered to Wolfsburg as part of the deal, although the Italian does not appear keen on a move to the Bundesliga. After a season blighted by injury, Borriello seems intent on making the breakthrough in Milan next season, while he has also has attracted interest from other Serie A sides. Wolfsburg, as many of you said, are in no hurry to sell, and want to see how long we can hold out for. We have to stamp the foot down now and make a firm decision. Boriello + 30 million euro? That is an insult! ![]() |

I will answer like this, I'll try at least:
Why have people suddenly fallen for the talk "we have no money"? After 15 years of buying best players on earth and being led by a man who has half of Italy, we are now behaving like Lazio. In my wiew, this money situation in Milan is completely unaceptable and under ANY normal level! That is why I keep talking how Milan needs to be sold, becouse as much as we all want, money is not here anymore as it used to be. Everyone says that Milan couldnt sign any players if we left Kaka'+Gourcuff. WHY? Isnt it normal that a club like AC Milan keeps their YOUNG AND GREAT players and maybe sells players like Seedorf, Dida, Oddo, maybe Pirlo ( in that case ), Marek, Kaladze... and then invests ( with tv money, Berlusconi, other investors etc. ) in few players like Cissikho, CF and CB? But we keep paying Dida 4mln, Sheva, Kaladze, Seedorf etc... So I claim: The question itself is completely wrong! It seems like you are in peace with the fact Milan now needs to sell its start to create new squad from young players. While the truth is that Milan just took 80mln and bought few young players so they can rebuilt the team that was destroyed by 3 horrible mercatos without investments and with wrong free purchases, and still not to pay ANYTHING after you count it all. Its not the choice of the "old" or "new" squad. It was supposed to be a STRONG squad, constructed from our bandieras and our new young players like Gourcuff ( free player...), Cissokho, CB, CF. If AC Milan is not able to pay 40-50mln per summer after selling some players WE DONT NEED, then its obvious that the incomes are closed. This is not Palermo, its Milan. Suddenly, people are ok with the fact we cant win CL, we cant win scudetto and we talk about some future times... the reality is that Milan will now buy young players that have wages from 1-2 mln and will go for luck for fight for serie a. And just to be honest, if Ibrahimovic stays, lets be real, Milan has no chance at all in serie a next year with this Inter. Right now Milan has no powerfull team, if you think it has you are just lying to yourself. I will not be ok with AC Milan that does not try to build but just to make money! Next summer we'll need to sell Pirlo to pay for GK and to cover something, then Pato etc. And people will still think its is true Milan has no money. So if I could choose, just to answer your question concretly(sp?), I'd keep Kaka' and Gourcuff and insert Abate, Paloschi. Sell Pirlo, Seedorf, Oddo, Dida, Kaladze and invest in few new players. This, the thing we are doing now, is just lying to the fant that are turning into an optimistic group of Arsenal fans.

If we are to sell the club, better not to any Arabian oil groups. No racism involved, but just look at Man City as an example. The club has lost its sense of heritage and spirit with these crazy spendings, and people are now disrespecting them more than ever! ![]() |

About Seedorf, he is not usefull when he is played 20 games per year and in CM between players like Flamini and Rino. Like he did last year when Pirlo was off. Then See played well. Also, I hope players will now work seriousely and not like they worked last year when some of them knew they will play first 11 100%.
EDIT: Moratti will keep Ibra aldough the offer was 90mln. He'll invest in Deco and Carvelho after signing Motta and Millito. And still Arnautovic will be signed. Juve signed Cannavaro, Diego, D'Agostino ( will be their player ), and will sign one italian LB. They will sell Trez and sign one Cf in his place. I know Milan can make a strong squad, not a CL winning team but strong. but, a squad without identity and that is always in danger of selling its best player. Its a sad situation.

I only think Seedorf can be useful if he wants to be useful.
When have Milan become a club that only satisfy in making the CL instead of winning the league and CL? As for the Milan tradition, I doubt those Arab billionare will come in and mess up Milan's tradtion, I mean, they would only come in and get the best players for Milan, thats nothing wrong with that. |
