Juventus Had A Superior Squad To Milan - Luciano Moggi
The former Juventus chief has pointed out that the Bianconeri had a better squad than Milan, but failed to live up to the expectations this term...

Turin outfit Juventus have been far from impressive this term and are outsiders in the race for fourth spot. Former general director Luciano Moggi is not impressed with the Bianconeri's form and has pointed out that Juventus had a superior squad to rivals Milan and really should have done better this season.

"Juventus have disappointed a lot this year. They had a superior squad to AC Milan, but failed in the Champions League and deservedly so," said Moggi to Studio Stadio. "Teams such as Sampdoria and Palermo play a lot better than the Bianconeri."

Moggi also took the time to discuss the situation at Milan and pointed out that the Rossoneri are in freefall at the moment. The former Juve chief named Mauro Tassotti as a possible replacement for current head coach Leonardo.

"Milan are in freefall. The team plays at a low rhythm and is outclassed when facing quick opponents. The squad is clearly at the end of its cycle. Next year's coach will probably be Mauro Tassotti together with Filippo Galli."
lol even moggi knows who is gonna be the coach for next year

Jucilei,Hernanes for our midfield would be awesome...

its really sad to know, even Moggi knows everything about us...Old and finished players...if you ask Galliani, they are still the bests...

its sad to know...we cant beat the likes of Palermo and Samp...Our rivals are them anymore...Fiorentina,Genoa,Palermo and Sampdoria...we even cant compete with them,if we go on like this...

Our rivals will be Chievo,Livorno,Siena...

A really interesting article on milannews today about how reliant we are on Pato. I'd definitely suggest people read it.

No you're right, they are very well managed (although I reserve judgement on Zamparini), and for me they are a model to follow, even though in reality, we should be able afford more than they can (given the stature of our club). Our club is in major transition right now in terms of how it's managed for the future, it'll be interesting to see the end results.

About Pandev, the guy had no more contract, so Lazio couldn't do anything, Pandev left for free in the club of his choice.
And while I thought it was a stupid choice from him to go to Inter (because of concurrence, after a first look, it seemed easier to be a starter in Milan than in Inter for him), it turned to be a success-story for him as it looks like he was the missing part of that team and so he plays a major role in a team involved in all competitions.

About Pastore, he admitted that scouts from Milan saw him regularly. But the first team to have done a serious offer was Palermo, and like they have a serious project (serious offer + serious project = bingo) ...

The guy is physically good: powerful and fast, he moves all the time everywhere on the pitch (generally at the start of the counters for Palermo), he's not tired after 65 minutes.
The guy is technically very good: just watch several of his games and see the way he dribbles his opponents ...
The guy seems smart: he understands the way his partners move and so that results in good passes with few losses of ball.

Don't forget it's his first year in Palermo. Kaka' wasn't that better in his first year in Milan.
And if Palermo isn't in the middle of the table, it's thanks to their investments, but if you have to take two players, it's mainly thanks to the duo Pastore-Miccoli.

Nowadays, if we had Pastore in our team, we would have to do a choice about our formation as Pastore wouldn't really fit in our current system, and if we do a system fitting Pastore, it's Ronaldinho who wouldn't fit anymore this new formation. My choice would be all done: 4-3-1-2 with Pastore as AM and Pato again as a striker.
Can't possible compare Pastore to Kaká. In his first year he replaced Rui Costa, one of the best 10's in the last 20 years, and won Serie A player of the year.

Honostly it's comparisons like that that make me think that he's being overrated. Yes he's talented, and yes he could become a star, but the point is that he's not there yet, and far from it. And tbh he'll be lucky if he ever has a season like Kaká's 2004.

What I said is that the first year of Kaka' here wasn't a lot better than the first year of Pastore, which means that Kaka' was better, but not that much.

Then, I'll be the first one to repeat post after post that there is no new Kaka', nor new Zidane, nor new Ronaldo, etc. These comparisons are done for the hype, we don't need them actually, and I shouldn't have used this one.

So, to conclude with Pastore, he's a very good player who could well become a great player or a World Class player (depending on many factors, like all very good and young players).

And regarding the players we have in our roster, Pastore would be a huge improvement for two reasons:
- his role and level
- his age

Why are we talking about Pastore? its like crying over spilt milk....... Pointless!! We can yell obscenities at Galliani all we want, bt the truth is he's gone to Palermo and he aint coming to Milan anytime soon. Case closed.

Because if we don't talk about some potential players who could have come to Milan, we are going to write about potential players who could come to Milan and say one after the other that finally, they're probably not going to come here ...

http://translate.google.fr/translate...n&hl=&ie=UTF-8

It's the interview of Dzeko on a German website, I translated in English with Google, so it's not a beautiful English translation ...

For people who understand German and want to read the original version:
http://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussbal...-verbleib.html

What seems important:
- he's going to leave Wolfsburg almost for sure
- if some clubs he doesn't want to join make the 40M bid that Wolfsburg asks for (and as a consequence, accepts), he won't leave for these clubs, even for money
- he's constantly linked with Milan but the fact is it's his favourite team since childhood, nothing more and that doesn't mean he'll come next year in Milan

Nowadays, there is nothing done, no deal signed for his next season and everything can happen.

I don't see us splashing 40M on Dzeko, and I don't want us to do so because that means we'll buy nobody else.

Rui Costa was on the decline, but it was more than that. Milan could have plugged a billion different players in as there CAM and been successful that team had great backline, great midfield and great attack.

Pirlo, Gattuso, Seedorf all mid 20s. Sheva/Pippo firing on all cylinders.... maldini, nesta, cafu, and others

Off course we are missing Pato, cuz he is the only ideal player for wings that we have...without him we cant play 4-3-3...Other players are not enough...we need to strength the squad not weak it...Selling Pato would see us in Serie B...

i like and rate Pastore high,Kaka's first season was not perfect,he had many ups and downs in first year,he started great then slowed down,at the start of second half,he started great agian scoring 2 goals to Ancona,if i remember correctly we scored 5 goals to them...then inter games...Kaka's season was great after it...

Guys i really cant us spending 40m euros on Dzeko, but lets sign players like...
Jucilei...can be a box to box for us...talented...fitted in 4-3-3...
Remy...Gameiro...can be good alternative to both Pato and Dinho...can steal place from Dinho...Hernanes...Simplicio...Krasic...André...Asamoah...Criscito...Tremounlinas...
Kallström...Jucilei...

Please no Zebina...no Trezeguet,no old and finished and passed players...Please no...

Rui was on decline,i agree,he couldnt perform like he did at Fiorentina...yet in 2003,he had a nice season...Along with inzaghi and Seedorf,he did amazing job...in Super cup,he assisted Sheva's goal...if i remember correctly...Kaka played instead of him from start of the season.Ancona 2-0 game...Sheva scored 2 goals...With cafu and him,he was the best player...had an impressive start...he got the shirt from Rivaldo and R.Costa...

What exactly are we doing I mean I don't want Trez or Zebina but it looks like the way our mgt want to go if they are free we will sign them up , I've given up hope of even spending 10 million and not in an angry way , but I just don't see how it's going to happen we are not linked with anyone we need beside's Criscito and he said he won't be anywhere except Juve or Genoa.
Trez is too old Zebina is waaaaay too old the Cacau rumours are gone god I'd kill for a 29 year old now we could of done with Cacau on Saturday.
I know its only the end of April but we are probably in for the same summer as last year maybe worse.

Berlu is over a billion euro richer now than this time last year , he obviously can't spend obscene amounts of money with financial climate , but damn i don't think thats it he wants to do things on the cheap which is okay if it works but it won't work it isnt working.

Criscito's future depents on Juve and Genoa...What did you expect him to say,i want Milan,
i wanna play for them...he cant say this...yet he implied that he wanted a move to Milan by saying this,if we agree to sign with juve and Genoa,im sure that Criscito wont be a problem for us...The problem is them if they want to sell Criscito to us...

Aogo is an interesting player.

very interesting news...The problem is still there...piace molto a Galliani...WOW...Who's
Galliani?Our coach?our football expert?

its all up to Berlusconi...he will decide...will sell or will invest...otherwise both fans and him is losing...

Sell Pato to Chealse or Real,Sell Thiago Silva...Nesta is always injured...make Galliani as your coach,Galli and Tassotti as assistants...we will see if he can stay in Serie A,would break a record, lowest points record ever...he can break it with his ex champions...

we dont want superstars,we dont want 50m euros players...we just want quality and young players...who can win games for us...

I am second to the bold part. Pastore is SO overrated by Milan fans IMO.

Kaka was not only better than Pastore in their first season with the Italian team (both are/were similar age when they came to Italy) but also MUCH better than Pastore. Kaka was one of our crucial player for Scudetto. Like has been said, he made one of the best playmaker in the world as his sub and we all know that it was not so easy for Carlo to play young player except Pato (note: Kaka was not so hyped like Pato). Kaka was the player who could break the dead lock against small team, team that was big barrier for us to gain wins.

There are way better players in Palermo now, so it's not like he's leading them to a CL spot, or leading his team in the CL like Jovetic did. Miccoli and Liverani are much more important for Palermo, but they honostly just generally play very good football.

Honostly he's a talent and I would like him in Milan, but let's be real, he wouldn't and shouldn't start over Seedorf, Ronaldinho or Pato. Imo there are much more exciting talents out there in the same price range.
Just to say I agree 100% with you, Christian...

Never understood Pastore hype. Like you, I'm not calling him a bad prospect, but like in the past with Miguel Velozo, Joăo Moutinho, Suazo, Perea, T. Neves, Rafael Sobis, Jô, Mario Gomez, Felipe(the defender), the other S. America defender from Udinese that I can't remember the name... There are always names hyped that I couldn't see the same as others.

Anyway, every year is the same history. Good players turned into WC without do anything remarkable in a big club, or against quality competition.

Now this character Maxi Lopez... what a joke of player. Saw this guy at River a lot and almost die(laughing) when Juan Laporta bought him to Barça... and now his name linked to us after that game? C'mon!!!! Even T. Cody from Alabama can dribble past our defense(but Silva/Nesta) nowadays...

I have to strongly disagree with you on this ...

You judge this player on his past, but you can't forget what he has done since he is in Italy and plays in Serie A. Look at his statistics and you will understand: 14 games played, 9 goals scored. That's better than any of our players nowadays. It also looks like he did a good half-season in Gremio (he was certainly on loan there from the site I'm looking right now) as he scored 12 goals in 10 games. It's two completely different championships, but this season, the guy scored 21 goals in 24 games ... quite impressive for a guy who makes you laugh !!

And for example, Borriello was a big joke some years ago (when he was in Milan as the 15th sub ) and he managed to work and become a good striker.
Also, like I told you, Maicon was a big joke too when he was in France (and you said he didn't know how to defend when he was in Brazil). Look at how he turned ...

Bad, useless and almost ridiculous players of yesterday can become the stars of tomorrow ...

PS: That doesn't mean I want Maxi Lopez, but we should consider this player as a potential purchase.
