Gennaro Mazzei is not a linesman, but the linesman selecter. Leonardo Meani phoned him to ask atwo "clever" linesmen for next match while he was complaining because of a match lost by Milan because of an error of a lineman.

Correct, and the linesmen being questioned are the ones from the match after Siena ... Milan-Chievo 1:0.
I don't remember if anything was suspicious in this match, and i think i'd have remembered it if there was any suspicion.
But this match is one of the suspicious matches from the list from 2 days ago.
God knows what will happen with all this !

Rahul, man, please calm down and read my posts carefully.
I never accused mk18 for something. I only asked him not to say things like :
Are you on drugs ? Are you halucinating ? Did you take your aspirine ?

Meani is talking to Contini (the linesman) about Baglioni (the linesman at Siena 2-1 Milan)

Meani : "What the f*ck, what the f*ck, I really don't want him, I don't want him, I never asked for him nor wanted him, this is one now he's also asking me to be very careful, not to make mistakes because Galliani is very angry, obviously. So tell him to be very careful form now on
till the end of the season however Gennaro is very angry, tell him that from now on he must not make any f*cking mistakes because he's very angry, therefore also on Wednesday try to send two intelligent ones.

So basically Meani complains because he's been told the linesman was a friend of Pairetto which means Meani (or Milan) must have known of Juve's collusion with Pairetto and also clearly shows Meani was on friendly terms with this particular linesman (Contini). So other than this :

"I don't want him, I never asked for him nor wanted him."

Why are we worried? I hardly think that's enough to bring a case against Milan, especially as Meani isn't officially listed in any capacity by the club.

About all the other accusations..if Moggi is guilty, then Juve should be sent to Serie B, but come on, you can't blame the club Juventus for Moggi locking Paparesta
This argument won't stand again.

Consider this:

A CEO is found cheating on the financial statement of his company in order to escape tax. In order to punish them, the government fined the company $x amount of dollars.

A CEO is found killing his wife. THe government fined him $x amount of dollars.

Do you see the difference? The first is related to the club, not the company, the second is unrelated to the club.

If your argument stands correct, then no team should be relegated. Say Reader's striker scored 50 goals during the season to help their team climb up to Premier League. Your argument implies that the club should not get promoted, becaues the credit shoul go to the striker. This is exactly your argument. Juventus' Moggi tried to influence the game by match fixing with referee to help their team win Scudetto. Now the discredit should get to Moggi only because Juventus is not invovled?

Nope. When your action invovles your business, your business suffer with you.

I read that Moggi was at Napoli during the Maradona days (when we got scored out of the scudetto due to the Alemo incident and Verona match) and also at Torino. At Napoli their president claims Moggi gave Maradona a plastic penis so he could bypass urine tests and at Torino he provided referees with prostitutes ahead of UEFA Cup games. Can those old enough to remember confirm these stories?

Rahul.acm, I plead you not to react emotionally because this is not going to help our discussion here. Thanks.

not sure if its true. but if it is, this guy shud be sent to solitary confinement. I can't imagine players like del piero, nedved, viera and emerson play in serie b/c1. I suppose we shud snatch them along with the great cappelo ( what a coach! )

I'm worried. because Contini is listed, he is responsible of Milan relation with referees

Jeff, you're really better than me in all this games of ours. I can't beat you
Yes, what you say stands...but theoretically.
Reasonably talking ( is there such a word like reasonably, or did i spell it well ) , you simply can't accuse a club for one of it's employees, even if it is the owner, locking the ref in the lockerroom.
If Trezeguet kills some ref during the match, it can't possibly be the teams fault, and the team shouldn't suffer for it. Trez should be the only one who will go to court and jail.
I'm not into law, and i may be wrong. But i can't understand Juventus suffering for Moggi locking Paparesta in the lockerroom !

The problem is not that Moggi locked Paparesta, it is WHY he locked him...
According to prosecutor he did it to maintain his control on the whole italian soccer, because "with Paparesta Juventus was not lucky", and these are words of Moggi.
This is violence, these are menaces, and Moggi is accused to mantain his control by these means
