It's on Skysports Zlatanov, so i would take it as pretty reliable.
Regarding the price i can only assume his contract didn't have long to go or that there will be a large amount of money added on for appearances, etc. We missed a trick there it seems.

yeah, it's on eurosport now as well, so I guess it wasn't just another rumour. I can't say I was particularly keen on Yaya Toure but for this money, he worth the risk IMO.

loose change in his pockets
![]() I had hoped for Diarra and didn't want to face the fact that he wanted to join Real, but there's an article on Skysports that has unfortunately shattered everything ![]() So i guess this only leaves Mascherano, which isn't a bad alternative ![]()

There are many rumours here in SP that Berlusconi already contacted Abramovich and asked how much Tevez will cost. Need to say that everything now lead to their (Tevez & Masc) departure.
Corinthians just hired a coach that dislike Argentines... Hmmm. |

That maybe so Zlatanov, but would you want Diarra after hearing what he's said about Real recently ? It's clear he has his mind set on a move there so for him to then come to us would be a bit odd. Would he have his heart in it playing for us when he's made it clear he wants Madrid ?

I read that article on skysports but if I remember correctly, he never said that he wants to go to Real and Real only. At least from what I read in the article, I guess he just wants to go to a bigger club and in there it mentioned something like "you get an offer from a club like Real once in a life time". But does that mean that he doesn't consider Milan to be an equally important club? I don't think so, IMO the guy just wants to go to a club more important than lyon and would be eqaully happy with a move to either Milan or Real. And for Milan to be in the finacial position to really step it up for a player that expensive, especially given that we do have a very good midfield already and Diarra is not a case of do or die, we need to make sure that we'll be laying CL next season ... and maybe Lyon are holding out for that moment when two big clubs will enter into a bidding war for their player. if that article is anywhere close to the truth, Lyon wants 35 mil euros for Diarra, if they don't want to even negotiate with Real, let alone reach an agreement, that tells me that Real's proposal is way off the asking price and Lyon are most probably buying time so that Milan can enetr the race and that will force Real to up their bid significantly. |

Maxi Rodriguez?
http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/aug16g.html It seems like a long shot, but i wouldn't mind seeing him in a Milan jersey |

The formation above is a pretty nice one IMO with Diarra and maxi giving lots of physical presence in midfield but those aren't easy targets to get. Also, I still think we would need to go for another reliable striker as I am not sure having only Gila and Pippo would be enough as the X-tree could be an option for some of the games but hardly most/all of them. |

*cough* Argentine trio *cough* ... Maxi, Tevez, Mascherano *splutter*
![]() You're right Zlatanov, Diarra isn't a necessity outright. But if we want the team to evolve, then i think he and Maxi are needed. We have too many midfielders who are similar ... Brocchi, Ambrosini, Vogel, Gattuso ... even Seedorf and Pirlo are similar in some respects ... there's not a great deal of variation in this group. Without variation of some kind we're just too predictable

We will not get Maxi for the same reason we didnt go for Cristiano Ronaldo; Milan dont play with wingers.
In yesterdays hearing of the Calciopoli, Berlusconi was asked "who will be the surprise transfer?" and he answered "I am willing to spend anything to get a striker". This is on an arabic acmilan forum www.acmilanclub.com I wonder if we will get the players we really want with these few days remaining. |
