because Ferguson for all thats bad with him did everything he could to help Rooney, when all the scandel broke about Rooney and prostitutes ferguson stepped in and let Rooney sleep at his house so he could escape the media, he made up the story about him having an injured ankle to the press as a buffer or a barrier to protect rooney in this dip of form and bad state hes in, and what has Rooney done to say thanks, made his manager look like a liar and then say he wants to out after all that Ferguson has stuck by him through he does this. all of the players before than Ferguson has sold for varying reasons were well made decisions not because he couldnt handel the superstars, i really cant stand Man United but in this case i feel Rooney is having a laugh.

Rooney doesn't have the IQ to learn a foreign language , and is a bit overhyped anyway great striker when he gets good service but not the best player in the world like the media said he was.They loved building him up a, and a loving it even more breaking him down.You only have to look at his life choices a 55 year old prostitute and a fat ugly one at that , and another prostitute multiple times.He is not an intelligent guy and I always felt a bit of the Paul Gascoignes about him.Looks like it is materialising , he will come back to be good again but how long before he fuks up again.

well people said the same about Beckham and yet he speaks Spanish and Italian but anyway they say Man City will offer him £500,000 a week in January!

Rooney wants out of England not Utd...its his private life and moving club yet staying in the same city house etc.. wont make a difference his wife and his family and advisers (advisers always makes me laugh) want him to leave the country.Bad for utd as im 100% sure none of that money will be spent it will be used to reduce the 100 million euro deficit on the money they lost last year.

well if he stopped been a prize idiot and sleeping with hookers, i dont think he would recieve as much media attention as he does. i agree with the rest though the club wont see any more of that money put back into the club, makes you wonder if this is one reason why they signed Hernandez, thinking rooney might leave, rooney has had since the 14th of august to sign that contract, why the wait?

I would not be surprised to see a Rooney-Benzema swap + maybe €15 Million to Manchester United.

I don't see him in Germany... and within England I only see Man City or Arsenal buying him, even then, like someone said, he wants to leave the country probably...

Only Madrid needs another Forward..and there have been links before..

He's so young, and he's not very strong physically, I think he will develop more properly in Brazil, and then will be ready to join an European club (ACM ? ) !! But if Neymar keep his actual level(form), it will be good for him to go to Europe next season... But only for the right coach. The difference between success an fail for Neymar(even at young age) will be his future coach in Europe. I'm sad nowadays because Brazil doesn't have one superstar, you know, a potential golden ball winner ... they always have had some of the greatest players, but nowadays, with Kaka' and Ganso injured, with Pato being regularly out for injuries, with Ronaldinho not being what he once was, I don't manage to find one outstanding Brazilian player being regular and injury free. Neymar has almost all the tools to be this kind of player in a near future. If he comes to Europe too early, I'm afraid he won't be this player. Of course, Pato can still be this kind of player too, if he can let the injuries away from him ...

For some reason, Brazilians players are being underrated nowadays. In the late 90's and early 2000, it wasn't the same. Any good Brazilians players were over hyped a lot. For some reason, now this trend is with the Argies and Spanish players.

Look at Hernanes case. He need to go to Lazio to get a chance in Europe, and all of that with 25yo!!! Sandro, to the Spurs, Wesley to Werder, Nilmar to Villarreal, Douglas Costa to Ukraine. Jucilei only got offers from middle/small Clubs, too. Giuliano receive none(as Arouca), and the list goes on...

I sure hope the young talents here keep a cool head, and(like Hernanes) waits for the right teams in the right Leagues. Jucliei already did it this season, saying no to some Clubs and stating will only leave Brazil for a better Club...

I hope more players do it...

I was at a very important meeting at the time of the game and couldn't watch live. Just now I finished to watch it(alreading knowing the outcome), and I need to say we scaped a historical beating.

The only good thing for me was to see Marcelo's performance. I always said Marcelo just needed the right coaching to become a real full back. That if he was in Italy, he would have already learn it. But people disagree...

I want to see the face of Galliani right now, because Real offered him in Kaká's deal and he said no, because Marcelo wasn't and couldn't be a fullback

The same player we didn't buy for 3.5 M because we had a better option in South America... Grimmi.

I think a Coentrao really needs to be a priority right now. We need a proper LB. Antonini can then play RB.

While we are on the subject of LBs, I read a rumor couple days ago about us trying to sign Emanuelson from Ajax for free next summer. What's everyone's take on him? He is similar to Marcelo in a lot of ways as he is fast, strong and great going forward. Anyone think he would make a decent addition to our defense?

Last time I saw him playing, he was a sub in Portuguese league.

I remember how frustrated I became when we bought Grimmi and Real at the same time Marcelo. It wasn't like Marcelo's price was out of this world(just 3.5M), but we chose Grimmi, Viudez and Cardaccio.

At first I did not agree with some members here, but now it's clear they were right... Leonardo was the only one that knows Brazilian market. The one with good eyes. Our adventures in South America(without Leo) shows it...

In the past I said it here with two Brazilians attacking fullbacks we were linked:
- Cicinho would never do it. I was against the purchase from day one. Too soft to be a succefull fullback in Europe. Even as wing back he would fail. All my Brazilians friends(and press) disagree. Still got good laughs asking them about the amazing Cicinho

- Marcelo on the other hand(I watch him since his 16yo) always showed the tools to become one. He just needed coaching(and time to develope), period. People forgot how young he was coming to Europe. Roberto Carlos just come to Europe at 22...

Like you said, amazing how quickly he turned his style, but thats what a proper coaching do. Sad, because I think Tassoti could have helped Marcelo lot at the defensive side...

Imo, Coentrão could be coached too. But the problem will be the price Benfica will ask. I have no doubt they willl ask a lot of money...

lmao whats he saying about the milk i dont get it.. coentrao will defnitely cost us ALOT of money, the thing they need to understand is at this moment in time we need to spend this big money. coentrao ganso and jucelei and neymar in 4 years would be treble after treble after treble if we get other international good classed players to play around them - of course robinho and pato wil stil be young, thiago silva wil be our experience in defense so on so fourth. we could build a new era with purchases like this but they need to happen now. the only way u can guarentee sucess even though you know these players will be wc is also if they play good together, 2-3 years in and out playing together will get us back to #1.. after real madrid today my optimism dropped quite a bit , we still need to rebuild we lack speed in mid and defense
