Adrian Galliani believes that consistency is Milan's extra weapon and is certain that a major signing will join the club

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani covered a number of themes in an interview published today.

The consistency of Milan: 'We have been in eight Champions League finals in the 20 years of Silvio Berlusconi, Juve have four, the Spanish sides Real and Barcelona three. Ramón Calderón could be set to finally fulfil one of his election promises by signing Arjen Robben after Chelsea gave permission Real Madrid to open negotiations.

Chelsea boss, José Mourinho, has told the Blues that the Dutchman can go if the Spanish giants meet the asking price of €20m.

The Bernabéu president included Robben as one of the players he would sign in his manifesto, along with Kaká and Cesc Fàbregas, if he assumed control of Madrid.

Despite the former PSV forward's injury record during his time in London, Calderón is still keen to snap him up and is to send officials to London to hold talks.

Amid the quest to ensure that Frank Lampard and John Terry sign new deals at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea informed Mourinho of Madrid's renewed interest in Robben and the manager stated that he could leave.

The player is currently on honeymoon, but his father and agent, Hans Robben, is in London and is keeping his son abrest of any news.

With Chelsea hoping to prise Florent Malouda away from Lyon, Robben would be surplus to requirements and Madrid are ready to meet the asking price.

Mourinho has become frustrated with his proneness to injuries and has been reported to have been angered at what he views as a lack of commitment to the cause.

With no big signings being sanctioned at Stamford Bridge, the incoming cash from Madrid would ease relations between Mourinho and owner Roman Abramovich even more.

Right i dont know where i heard this but didnt Calderon say that if Kaka was a no no he would get one of the other players he promised them and Robben was on that list if im not mistaken so does this meen the pressure on Kaka will be eased or is this just another player hes getting along the way in trying to grab Kaka?

How can signing Robben resulting in us selling Kaka? Maybe it means he'll stop acting like a spa, and telling his publication to stop his propaganda.

Basically the fans have been hanging him ever since he made the promises of those three payers last year, now if he gets Robben for another 2 years he can say 'Just like i got Robben I can get Kaka & Cesc' and the dumb Madrid fans will believe him, its like an escape goat for him.

Has anyone heard about the massive pay Torres is after? When you consider Liverpool to be a 'big' club, I think they might struggle with the wages. Only Man United & Chelsea can afford these types of wages, Liverpool who will pay 130,00 to Gerrard & 100,000 to Torres I think will struggle, personally with the amount of money he wants I can see the deal breaking down. If I was Galliani and we needed a striker Id never go for Torres just something about him I dont like, Id prefer Villa. Also in the next few coming days R10 will come out and say he wants to leave Barca, trust me.

Robben would be of great benefit to us, as he can create attacking plays from the flanks... we should definitely try to sign him.
