You're right, when that rule is applied, all the teams HAVE TO show their books. Which means, they can't spend like crazy until the rule is applied, and then start from positive zero and spend "by the books".

And then, finally, Motta received most ridiculous red card I've ever seen in my life!

They could only defend, and I congratulate them for their progress to the final and I'm really happy because somebody finally beat that geezers.

I'm also happy that whole world saw that Barca so-called "fantasy football team" is heavily overrated team. More than HOUR with extra player and they've just scored from offside position. Pathetic.
To use only half of the field is pathetic. Even they play with 10 men, it could be really seen that they didn't want to paly football. Like has been said, they were anti-football.

On the other side, Barca was clueless especially their coach. Messi is overrated. No Iniesta, Messi would find hard to show the image of Messi from fans.

Yeah you're right about that, Italy is at a disadvantage with this marketing stuff and should start implementing the english system as soon as possible, so Berlu should start building a new stadium or else we're fuked.

Excuse me, but why would they want to play football?! They had 3:1 lead right?
What did they need to do?! Play a gung-ho with 10 men on the field?! They would progress that way surely.

I know many of Milan fans hate Inter, and I REALLY can't understand how a full-grown clever man can hate the other team, but Inter was better in the first game, they've won 3:1, Barcelona had more than 60 minutes with extra player to score 2 goals, they couldn't - Inter is better. As simple as that.

Congrats to Inter. They showed guts and class, qualities that our club, owner, and players lack currently.

If I am understanding the concept correctly, a team only needs to balance their books on an annual basis. That means, you can only spend as much as you earned this year. Past debts wouldn't and shouldn't be taken into considerations. This is a good policy to drive down the price of players, but from an organizational point of view, it is utterly ridiculous. Pro sports teams do not make money, that's just how it is. You can't tell CISCO to stop spending money on things to balance their books and you shouldn't tell soccer teams to do that.

Literally, he can play as a winger, a CAM, a CM, a RM in a 3 CM format, and even a RB! Honestly, if there was a free player that I would LOVE to have come to Milan, he is the one.

Another free player this summer, someone Giorgos has seen from his hometown club, is Shikabala. His time at PAOK he was a little undisciplined, but, he has really benefited from the care of Hossam Hassan at Zamalek (in Egypt). He is a real talent and a player that Napoli are looking at very seriously. He's left footed, but can play on either right or left wing, as a CAM, or as a second striker if needed. Fast, pacey, and full of tricks, he really is an exciting player.

Another player that is free that we could go for is Julio Sergio from Roma. He has played really well, and I feel like it would be worth a 2 year contract.

If our "mercato" was:

Altintop (free)
Shikabala (free)
Yepes (free)
Astori (buy half)
Paloschi (buy half)
Aogo (5m)
Mexes (10-12M)
Julio Sergio (free)

I would be amazingly happy. Our squad would be a lot deeper, and would look like this:

GK: Abbiati, Julio Sergio, Roma [sell Storari]
RB: Aogo, Bonera, Oddo (?)
LB: Antonini, Zambro, De Vito
CB: Thiago, Mexes, Nesta, Astori, Yepes, Onyewu, Albertazzi
M: Gattuso, Flamini, Ambro, Pirlo, Seedorf, Altintop, Abate
AM/W: Dinho, Shikabala, Verdi
ST: Hunt, Borri, Paloschi, Pato, Zigoni
i am sorry dude ... i just read that. i am pretty sure that shikabala is not free this summer. he has a running contract till 2012. however, regarded as the best attacking midfielder in africa, he is only avilable for 4-5 mils. a v. good bargain if u ask me. no one will do i do i am sure

Still can't sleep. The match was/is the biggest display of anti-football i've seen! Even with 11 men, inter couldn't string together 4 passes. Just 4 passes!!! Thier display was pathetic. And they are the best team in Italy. This is madness. When did champions league become so bad? Must teams resort to negative tactics to win in the CL?

It will look like this (with Inter win tonight)

Italy - 64.339
Germany - 64.207

BUT, the Germans have another team (Hamburg) playing tomorrow in the Europa legaue. So any positive result for Hamburg and Inter's reslut today won't matter anymore.

By the way, here is the link of the current situation in the rankings.

Thanks for information. Germany still ahead because inter lost the game one nil but they got some points for qualifying .From what I understand if Fulham beat Hamburg, it will come down to whoever wins between Inter & Bayern in the final? I may be wrong though?

not 10 men strikers but also not by parking a bus in front of the goalie.

You don't need to be clever to find things to hate inter. So many bad things can be used to hate inter.

The one who won the game is always better since it is the fact. No one can deny it. But an anti-football can not just be seen from the scoreboard. Scoreboard only decides who is better.

Agreed with Revolver on this. Not only it was predictable that Inter came to defend their 3-1 lead but after playing with ten men it also became mandatory.

Besides it was so uncharacteristical of Barca to play long balls from the flanks especially when their only tall striker Ibra was taken out, and not to mention the number of useless, way off target, shootings from outside the box. It's no coincidence that their goal (no matter how debatable it might be) came from their usual way of scoring: patiently changing passes outside the box before sending in a beautiful pass inside the D when the first gap opened up

The points of the game: Barca played dull and Inter played antifootball. The last team called go through the final.

At least, there is still hope on München.

That's because they couldn't do anything through center, because, no matter what anyone thinks, their game is SLOW. Every ball must come to Xavi and Xavi must take at least 2 touches before passing or shooting in 99% of situations. To score against that strong midfield and even stronger defense, you need quick passing and quick movement. Now, the only striker that actually had clever movement in Barca (sadly) was Eto'o and nevermind strikers, they needed a player like Ronaldinho, who can find the space to receive the ball near the box and to make one-touch defense-cutting pass. Their goal came because Xavi for once had time to receive the ball near the box, to think long enough what to do with it (it usually takes long) and then to make good pass, and all because 10-men Inter were tired.

Yes, you are correct.

Premier league teams own their own stadiums, fill their stadiums, their marketing is much better than ours, and the big clubs get more television money.

So..we are still fu..ed.

Yep, the time is brutal for you... But the game is worth(on paper). Let's hope Corinthians coach don't pull a Mourinho and park the Bus. If so, Jucilei will stay in the front of the CB's all game long.

Today for the first time I heard a big name of the press talking about Jucilei and Brazil NT. People were talking about Ronaldo, Adriano, Elias, Dentinho... the "names of the classic", and the pundit(Telmo Zanini) said that he talked to people of Corinthians, and the player they are more high is Jucilei. People expect him to be called for NT next year. The price is growing...

Btw, Hernanes playing right now, Alianza vs São Paulo, first-round of knockout stage.

If I'm not wrong it's Milannews.it
