Ruud has been charged with Serious Foul Play

to be honest he did deserve it as it was a dangerous thing to do. Wenger will be asked to explain his comments after the game, i suppose passive blindness will be his excuse again:

Wenger: it clearly wasnt a foul on Rooney i could see it from 60 yards away!

Journalist: and what about the one on Ronaldo?

Wenger: errrr, i did not see that incident

Henry chokes yet again
the press declared that Rio is the best defender on the planet i suppose in their eyes it makes sense, if Arsenal are the best team in the universe and he stopped them then he must be the best defender

its good to see him getting more and more respect these days but the uber-hype isnt neccesary...

to be honest, that one on Ronaldo deserves "more" than the first on Rooney.

btw I just couldn't get it why Arse players kept protesting about Rooney's goal.. He was CLEARLY on-side. even after the final whistle some Arse players kept surrounding Riley..

CHEATS!! CHEATS!!!
same old Arsenal...
always cheating!!!

Not really. If the w*nker manages to buy out 50% of the shares he can replace the board.

How about Henry's brilliant flying kick to the head of Gary Neville, after he had brought him down. Of course, like all ABUs, you didn't see that.

exactly a lot of people are moaning about Riley giving Utd a penalty but to me the decision not to give Ronaldo one was just as bad.

With the Rooney claim it was very hard for a ref as they dont have hours to decide and 50 different angles to see it from... most people i know thought it was a penalty on first viewing and changed their minds later, refs dont have that chance.

well, to me they never had any days anyway

Their biggest chance to win the Champions League was probably last season and they failed. Thats not to say they are a bad side, but with so many big sides dropping early combined with their run of form domestically gave them a dream situation that i dont see happening again for some time

his backers dont like hostile takeovers and this takeover could lead to knew realms of hostility

but he's the great Thierry Henry, leader of the invincibles! surely he wouldnt do such a thing

yeah he admitted it and misses the next 3 games.....

The good thing is Alan Smith will get a few more games, he deserves a place at the moment (he scored again tonight )

Also, Wenger has to explain his comments after the match and faces a charge. His defence will no doubt be "i didnt see anything" but as he said most in front of camera's the FA will be able to play him a video of the incident until his vision returns

Its a strange season for Ruud, he had no pre-season so the past few games he's been building up his fitness (and scoring ) but now he has another break maybe he'll be 100% by December or so....

Arsenal are not takign the loss well at all!! They can talk about diving!!! How many times were they bailed out from ljunberg, henry or pires going to ground? bad losers to say the least, what ruud did was silly though, but as was said earlier smith will start or even saha!! Now we MUST put a run of results together

It's a big loss for us in EPL because we hadn't scored as many as we expected to be.. but our striking force is still quite strong without Ruud.
anyway Ruud can play in UCL matches, which he does better there..
Our next aim recently is to enhance our scoring record, and we're on our way. while our defense has been convincing since we have Rio and Heinze.

It's wonderful to see him played great and scored goals. IMO his combination w/ Rooney will be important for us (and England) in the future.
It's been a while since the last time we saw Utd's striker in the England NT.

sometimes tap ins are neccesary though Nata and ruud is possibly the best in the business at getting that type of goal.

Rooney and Smith are both excellent forwards and with time could be a lethal pairing but they both prefer to play in a deeper role, picking up the ball outside the box. This could play into the hands of Portsmouth who will defend deep and in numbers...

Heinze is fast becoming a new hero at Old Trafford, he looks like an excellent buy Neville, Mickey, Rio and Heinze is solid and classy and will be an excellent base for the team

exactly, in the "arrogant managers" thread i chose Mourinho but im fast changing my mind, Wengers attitude has always been dubious but right now its verging on despicable

needless to say, he has now denied completely that anything happened after the game, even though 2 of his players have admitted it publicly

The hypocrasy over Ruuds challenge is rediculous, i remember Ashley Cole's red card last season, for a 2 footed studs up challenge, if ever their was a potentially career ending foul that was it. And as for Reyes moaning to the press about the tough tackles, he has now experienced what Ronaldo has had every game since last August
