I wonder how long Pato will play for 4mln with offers of 7,8,9mln from Barca, Real, Chelsea in few years. Untill now Kaladze had 4mln, now none can have 5. Really balanced business by super bold GM.
Pato is paid 1M/year and his contract ends in 2012 ...
We should just give him a new contract near 2.5M/year until 2014, and in 2012, we give him a 4M/year contract until 2016.

Then, who knows what will happen, who knows how Pato will turn, etc.

I agree. A club like Milan shouldn't make a salary cap, it's only for mediocre club. What Milan need is a good management of player's wage. As has been mentioned, no way Kaladze earns 4 mil/ year or other old players earn similar. Players should paid for what quality (performance) they can give and they could give.

Looks like another reason to not try and sign great players 4mil a season thats what about 83,000 a week jimmy bullard with Hull is on 67,000 a week.
We know there is no money to be spent (even tho berlu is 1.3 billion now than this time last year) so there is no need for all these stories that make no sense why do the make no no sense this why .
1) No player will get more than 4 mill per season - there are already about 10 on 4 mill a season and several higher.
2) We are now only going to focus on youth 100%- Beckham Yepes Mancini , Linked to alot of players seriously all over 29 some over 33.
3)MGT well Galliani always talks about youth lately he talks and talks and talks , about Pastore , Jovetic , Lloris etc.. and how yeah I could of signed them....IDIOT.

If Dinho refuses to take a pay cut and gets sold the likely outcome will be we get Mancini for free and he just play's there , expecting money to be invested is dangerous because they are so tight right now.
Looks like we'll have no manager at the end of the season well Galli & Tassotti will take over hurray for that. Im surprised there is no rumours about T.Silva but all in time , everytime Ive logged on here or anywhere else or watch T.V or read a newspaper for the last 16 months its all been sh1tty news absolutely nothing positive.

Sure we had the victory's over Real Merda and were up 1-0 agains Man Utd for about 40 minutes , then there was that faint hope of a scudetto but other than that there honestly has not been anything positive or to smile about.
All those thing's mentioned came to nothing its just all about books books books , its so frustrating as the guy (Berlu obviously ) is so rich yet Milan who made about 250 million + over a 100 mill in transfers have no money nothing.

We went from Dzeko - Fabiano - Torres - Fabregas - Hernanes - Krasic - Jovanovic - Altintop - Cacau - Yepes to apparently Selling Dinho and Pato....You see thats bad from worse to worse to riculous to retarded.

But regarding the performances of a guy like Kaladze few years ago, he "deserved" his salary.

The problem is the way the guy just became a ridiculous player and so, as a consequence, 4M have been wasted each year. The guy earns 4M, but regarding his level nowadays, he shouldn't earn more than Favalli (around 0.8M-1M).
Just take his place: you're in Milan, you earn 4M, if the club asks you to renew your contract by reducing your salary to let's say 1.5M, what will you do ? And the guy probably thinks he can still be good ...

And I don't remember the essential part of my post I wanted to write now ...

I hate Inter with all my heart!! however

This team is not the same Looser team from the past , Mou has done an incredible job with this team..And He has proven his worth at last.

Did you see that Eto was playing offside traps during the game, and Diego Milito was defending against Gabriel Milito at some moments of the game. Congrats to Inter, they actually deserved this win,and if they go on and win the treble, it will be deserved.

What worries me the most is that Morrati(who deserves this moment fully) will splash the cash even more now...and believe me Inter with 2-3 signings can become a World Class team that will be hard to overcome in coming years.

Pleas god don`t let that happen

Thats totally true Kala went downhill so fast and has become useless he's barely played these last 2 years and gets his 4 mill.

What is Marina Berlu on about Milan is spending way too much and needs to spend alot less and manage its budget better , well we have no transfer budget so it can't be that is it wages what they make covers wages , isn't the wage bill about 130 mil or so I dunno just odd statements lately.

The thing is that Real or Chelsea or even the Spurs can offer Pato 4-5mil a year with bonuses and paid Milan 45 mil.
If you are Pato, what would you do?

Yes and no, since when he signed the contract he was pretty much playing next to Nesta or Cap

He didn't deserve it. Take Inter an example. There was no Kaladze's level (in the time he was good player) earned 4 M per year.

Ok, if I assume he was worth for 4M/year and then in 1-2 years he can't mantain his form, he should get a reduced salary if we want a fair treatment. Why a wage improvement is always possible but not the a reduced wage?

I want only look at the Milan side since we are talking about Milan. If the player doesn't want a reduced wage, the club should sell him. We are way to kind to our players. We can't sell a player because he doesn't want to leave (Abati's case).

There were wage's comparisons among Milan, Inter and Juventus provided 1-2 years ago by Dru if I remember correctly. It could be seen that Milan were just too kind to their players. Like has been mentioned, Kaladze was good a couple of years ago but he was not worth for 4 M/year. He earned like a star in that time, the reality is that he played well but not brilliant.

Not go to Spurs..lol.

I see what you mean its odd to all of a sudden say no signings no high wages no expensive coach you add all that up and we'll be less competitive than now scary huh.
Although Arsenal pretty much do that and while not winning anything major for 5 years they are alot better than us. Why no small investment 20 mill a season on young players not the likes of Emerson Ronaldo Oddo Dinho and some ridiculous contracts.
They (MGT) have done thois themselves awful policy since 2004 and a none existent one now.

Well its confirmed what we all knew: step 1 whats next???http://www.football-italia.net/apr29j.html

He's been stubborn WTF why because you want him to work with nothing.Someone said when these rumours first did the rounds that if Leo leaves we will all know why and it will show a lack of ambition and no thought of changing or trying to improve this tired sad team....Thoughts??.

Its no surprise but now we know there will be little to no improvement next it may get worse , I don't think that Leo was asking for even 40 million to spend but he was only a coach for a year apparently some people that means you can't ask for improvements.I personally wish him the best and expect to go on to very good things if he stays a coach.

Fiorentina are close to there 1st big signing of the mercato said Corvino , they will sign one more player aswell the two players are thought to be Drenthe and Krasic , damn those names sound familiar..lol.....Oh well.

What does "stubborn" mean ?
In Italian, it is "testardo" and I don't know the meaning of this word too ...

Does that mean that he never wants to change his mind (always trying the same thing even when not working) ?

Siregar, it's simply the law !! Once you sign a contract (not only in a football club, in firms too), you can only improve it, your employer can't reduce your wage without your agreement. It would be too easy ...
It's like when you want to fire someone from your firm, you need reasons, you can't do it just because you want to do so, anyway in European countries (in Europe, and I let the UK apart as it is a mix between Europe and the USA, there isn't a lot of flexibility for employers, so once you get a long term contract, it's really hard to fire you for example, but once you lose your contract, it's also hard to find another job, in the USA, it's the contrary, studies show that people tend to lose their job more easily, because of/thanks to, depending on your point of view, flexibility, but they also find easily another job then ...).

And about our players, if the guy doesn't want to leave and never signs any contract with any club that Milan accepted an offer, Milan can't do much then.

Even for loans, if the guy doesn't want to leave the club on loan, Milan can't force him.

Of course it's law, no body said it's not the law. But not the statement 'you can only improve it'. I never read about a law like that. A player who ears 8m then just can sit and have fun since his wage will be always improved. Silly law if they have it.

A reduced of wage must be with agreement. We don't live in other planet Geo, we live with law. But if the player can't maintain the perform he was paid for, a reduced wage agreement should be given by the management to the player. If he refused, the club should just sell him.

The club can do things to force him. Make him unhappy in the club or within the club. A player should be a man, dare to take wage improvement (read : ready to deliver performance level with the wage he earns) and also to take reduced wage if he can't perform like when he earned big.

Wage means perform (and responsibility) regarding the wage. Just like in a company. Better salary, bigger responsibility (to perform better).

Do you really believe in this statement ?
While everyone will agree of course, on paper, if that had to really happen to 100 people taken randomly, only 5 from these 100 would accept the wage cut ... and I'm quite optimistic there.
