I still believe that we need 5b strikers if we are to go for 2-3 titles next season - throughout a season at least one of them will always be unavailable/injured, and another one will be out of shape and should stay at Milanello, which leaves us with AT BEST 3 inform strikers - the absolute bare minimum for a team like Milan.
For next season I would like to see Sheva, Crespo, Pippo, Gila, and one of Budan/Makinwa. The last two should be available for cheap, especially with Atalanta going down, and will add qualities that we currently lack upfront.
Of course we need some reinforcements in defence and midfield too.

Sheva, Crespo, Gila, Makinwa, Borriello

a mixture of all........ The Way to success

tomasson is loyal and i respect that, but for his own good as well as ours he should leave....... and inzaghi- he couldnt even be on the bench, as soon as he comes back he breaks, and with age it will not improve.......

I think Inzaghi missed last game because of other reasons that had nothing to do with being injured. I guess JDT was prferred to him because Carlo thought that the Dane has done enough for us to deserve to play in a CL final, especially given the fact that he missed the one in Manchester.
One problem I find in the above striker roaster is the lack of experience - Boriello, Makinwa, and even Gila simply don't have the big-game experience we need. Let's not forget that Gila has scored most of his goals against the smaller teams in Serie A and still has a lot to prove in games vs Juve, ManU, Real, Barca, Chelsea, etc. He is a diamond in the making, but still needs a good bit of polishing until he is ready to become a jewel in our crown.

And I am sure you state that with such certainty namely because you have a proven and reliable source for this "info". I just hope this "source" isn't a crystal ball or a deck of tarrot cards.

Still, to not make it even to the bench?? I am dying out of curiousity why he was kept in the STANDS!!

So true. To buy new talented players are a big risk - they can end up being a "one hit wonder". Gilardino has had two seasons in a row with big scoresheets and I've always liked him since his Verona days; but I still have the doubts you do - the fact that he doesnt score against big teams and if he is able to handle Europe well. But after watching him play for both Parma and Italy I guess he is a risk I am willing to take.

But the way he performed against Juve, you'd wonder whats the big fuss about him

The number of substitutes a coach is allowed to ues is restricted so there isn't that much space on the bench either. For a game like the CL final, a GK, defenders and midfielders are a must and there is usually one spot left for a reserve striker. So basically it had to be either Pippo or Tomasson.
I know Pippo was absent for most of the season but still his stamina wasn't that bad and he could easily be on the bench for us that night. I am more inclined to believe tha Carlo chose JDT over Pippo mostly because Tomasson had played and contributed for Milan to reach the final, unlike Pippo, plus JDT had to miss the 2003 CL final due to injury in the Roma-Milan Coppa Italia game and this was, most probably, Tomasson's last season with Milan.

well when i say makinwa i mean some one similar.........
fast, quick- adept to counter attack.
but borriello has proven himself i believe......
he played well when allowed to; and has been one of reggina's best players 2004/2005
...

I hope you'll have the chance to see the goal that Gila scored against Lecce.
This player must absolutely wear our red and black jersey.

Dont forget Parma (Gila) still playing for something more than important. Once their season is over, there will be an announcement (hopefully). Same happened with Jankulovski.
