at least, we should do as much as we can to win it back for the year after... and this must start from now, we need to get as much points as possible and just hope for the best.... after looking at the numbers for the past 5 years, it seems that only the top 3 Italian teams in Serie A 2011/2012 will go to CL in the 2012/2013... Germany will keep the four spots for at least 2 years...

if Italy do outstanding this year maybe they can win it back after 1 year only....

Europe in general is a basket case, not that America's not..

But Italy in particular with their STUPID tax policies, bad stadiums, bad economy, is not a place that players wish to play as much as they did 10 years ago...Serie A is a great League.. I love the league, Milan, and being Italian, but they should lower their taxes, get out of that Fascist European Union, improve their stadiums, attract more sponors, and do away with a lot of their bad rules & policies in FIGC...

Then, they'll take over Germany.. as of now, they're getting what they deserve, plain and simple.

I agree with your overall point, but wouldn't moving away from the 'inclusive' EU and towards an independent and nationalist economic autonomy be a move towards fascism? It's not reaching that point, of course, but you use fascism as a bad word to describe basically general incompetence. That's not what it is.

Italy needs a wake-up call, and the World Cup debacle and the demotion next year to 3 CL places is a pretty strong one.

You and I seem to get into many political debates. I don't like the European Union, but obviously Italy's Serie A can be great again by staying in, just lowering taxes, changing a few policies regarding home grown talent, younger players, tax rates, players wages/tax policy, and building new stadiums (without those dumb tracks).....

My issues with The EU issue is not really relevant. Serie A can be great again regardless.

Buonanotta was free to leave River Plate this summer as far as I know, since his contract had run out. He was considered quite the talent, but apparently he was in a tragic car crash that kept him out of football for a while.

Anyways, I don't think he's the kinda player that'll help us out in the midfield since he's extremly small, and clearly not a CM player in a 4-3-1-2, or systems with a similar three man midfield (Which is what we'll play).

About the Italy vs. Germany fight, it's clear that at some point (probably next season), Italy will lose it's fourth spot. I think though, that with the ambitions shown by Milan, Inter and Juventus, in terms of player investments, and in the lower 'brackets' Palermo, Napoli and Lazio then it won't take long before we get the spots back. Maybe not at the expense of Germany, but then England or Spain (A league that seems like a bubble that's about to burst at any moment). My point is just that it seems like, in terms of player investments at least, that Italy is on it's way back.

Ganso apparently isn't renewing with Santos, so we could have a chance there. I read it on milannews.

The difference between Ibrahimovic/Robinho and Bale is that Bale is an important part of his team, and a man to build the team around. Ibrahimovic/Robinho were out of favour and wanted away, that's what made them cut-price bargains.
