'Rossi will leave Villarreal'
Thursday 13 May, 2010
Italy international striker Giuseppe Rossi will leave Villarreal this summer, according to his agent Federico Pastorello.

The 23-year-old who was included in Marcello Lippi's provisional 30-man squad for the World Cup is very much in demand with Juventus and Napoli said to be interested in signing him.

Villarreal are in financial trouble and need to sell players this summer to restore a degree of balance to their books.

Speaking to TuttoNapoli.net, Pastorello said: “Rossi will almost certainly leave Villarreal and could return to Italy.

“He is followed by many clubs, but we are in no hurry.”

When asked about interest from Napoli, Pastorello replied: “You'll have to speak with De Laurentiis.

“There was an approach from Fiorentina some years ago, but it didn't amount to anything.

“Now, with Mutu's suspension, the Viola could be back on him.”

I would LOVE to get him!!!!!

^Rossi would be perfect for Milan, a good change from the sort of forwards we have become accustomed to lately.

as for marcelo... I LOVE him in midfield. Reminds me closest thing to Serginho and I rate him more than Bastos. Like you said he's so young but we saw v. RM what he can do. He dribbled thru 4 milan players on a dime. My hope is Madrid sign some galactico LW (like Ribery) and he ends up being sold in another move of 'name over skill'

question for you: How much would Giuliano cost? All the hype (deservedly so) is on Ganso and Neymar. I'm not convinced Giuliano won't be as good a player in Europe. I loved him in u20.
Yeah, hoping the same thing. I wouldn't mind him as a LB though, I know taht he hasn't looked good at LB for Real Madrid, but people need to remember 2 things.

1: It's Real Madrid. This is where Cannavaro and Samuel looked bad, Sergio Ramos also look much worse defensively at Real Madrid than he does for Spain for some reason, and has gotten WORSE at defending since he left Sevilla it seems. It's a bit weird, but it seems like they make everyone look poor in defense. Perhaps they don't practice defending... who knows.

2: He's very young, he just turned 22... It's no age for a defender. See how much Abate has developed as a defender in 1 year, and he's older.

Anyways, reason I'm written this is because I have no doubts that he'll be gone in Real sooner or later. He simply doesn't have enough of a name to play LW for Real, and they don't have enough faith in him to play LB.

If Villa is Barca players by the end of the mercato, Its quit possible that Barca will let Ibra go at considerably lower price ( plus they got him in exchange deal) . Maybe 35-40 will do..I know that we don`t have that money but Berlu can surprise us taking in consideration that Ibra is very marketable too.

IMO he is worth that money, and he is perfect for us.

Its still allowed to day dream in here, right ??

Perhaps I'm a bit subjective, but for me Serginho, when in form, was the best left side player in the world. It's a shame he was so inconsistent. Marcelo can't get even close. He's pacy, good with the ball at his feet, but he always lacks final touch.

To remind yourself how good Serginho actually was, find our demolition of Inter by 6:0 under Cesare Maldini (2000/2001 ?) on youtube. That was one of the best performances by Milan player I ever saw, other on top of my head would be Savicevic's against Barca in CL final (best) and Shevchenko's against Lazio (I don't remember the year, 1999/2000 probably, but if I'm correct it ended 4:4).

marcelo is pretty damn good. He is second on Madrid in assists (to guti.... fitting they r looking to sell there 2 best assist men). But you are forgetting, we got serginho in his prime or primes.

Marcelo just turned 22 and growing. Will he be next serginho? I don't wanna go so far... but he's a damn good player with a huge future. And I got gut feeling Madrid will part with him, if not this summer next. His name isn't big enough.....

im pretty certain he would fit right in with our atmosphere. his defending is pretty suspect but i guess if we are playing abate in defensive positions, we aren't worried about that! we should raid real madrid for all their "rejects". bayern and inter are laughing all the way to the champions league final with theirs!

Well, strictly speaking we have a long list of their rejects and apart from Ronaldo's first half season it's Madrid who has the last laugh. At our expense!

Some friend, eh Galliani?

Man Utd are serious about Borriello , they want someone who will score 15 - 20 a season to compliment Rooney , i think this could happen as Borri would esily score 15 in EPL maybe not against Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool a couple of others , but the defence in EPL for teams from 10 - 20 are really weak and Borri gets most his goals against smaller teams and would score against them especially with the service he'll get from Nani Valencia and Rooney scholes Giggs .
It isn't impossible that it could happen .Utd do not want / dont have 30 + million for a striker , and Borri at 18 million euro thats about 15 mil for utd.

If we get 18 mill for him with say 15 from Berlu sell Dinho for 15 and 8 mil wages thats 51 million we could use that wisely , but again maybe dreaming......SIGH.
