I guess you have to roll the dice with Toni, you just don't know when he will breakout and if he does that what really be good for Italy.

If the management want to save money then Huntelaar is surely the best bet. Getting him and a top quality attacking midfielder (or 2 if we can get Ronaldinho cheaply) will be a good result considering we're unlikely to spend a huge amount on anyone.

If we could get Huntelaar, Ronaldinho & Vargas for our team i'd be very satisfied.

We could play:

--------------Abbiati--------------
Zambrotta--Nesta--Bonera--Vargas
----Flamini-----Pirlo-----Gattuso----
---------------Kaka----------------
------Ronaldinho-----Boriello--------

Bench: Kalac, Kaladze, Antonelli, Ambrosini, Abate, Pato, Huntelaar

You guys can choose your own bench!

With some luck, the likes of Boruc, Zapata, Mountinho, Hamsik & Benzema will still be around next summer or even in the winter period (though i still think we should sign Boruc now).

For Benzema, he played most of the game on the left ...

The poor guy makes one mistake and alot of guys are ready to crucifi him, alot of you guys have to be consistent.

no one has crucified zambrotta. Everyones complaints on him are very valid. 1 he's OLD and doesnt have that much time left (lets assume 3 years tops) so he's only a temporary fix.

And if he's our only big money signings we have major problems and management has lied to is. it isnt really about him, but more because of him

Ok maybe i over reacted, but please understand that alot guys are ready jump on players for one bad showing.
It should not be that way,Zambrotta is a world class player and belongs to Milan now and we should be proud that he plays for Milan now and also play for National team at a high level.

I do agree that if he is the major signing for Milan this summer we are trouble on the transfer front.I truly doubt he will be our major signing the season.

Berlu and Galliani, notice that we do need a striker and one way or another they will find someone who will be a bigger signing than Zambrotta.

As announced yesterday by TMW, in the meeting of Arcore between Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi, has been decided to wait. The fear of rossonero chairman is that to acquire too expensive players. The most important news is about the striker: Drogba hypothesis has born again, even here Milan will have to wait. Chelsea for the moment don't want let leave the Ivorian, but could made in case they would reach Fernando Torres target.

waiting so when window closs you can say 'they were too expensive' 'london is an expensive boutique'.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Berlu, seriously sell the club. its an embarrassment milan fell out of champions league. and if you cant put necessary funds to reinforce, just leave... this team is not good enough to finish top 2 in serie A as of now
Berlusconi has more money than most English clubs combined. Don't underestimate the man. Not to get political (well kinda)... the last guy to underestimate was Romano Prodi... and lets just say... well... he's enjoying his pension.

I can now say for a fact that Zambrotta was one of our smartest signings as of late! That STANDS!

I'm tired of this. Stop bashing Zambrotta. He performed beautifully on the pitch. What do you expect from the guy? He was benched a lot in Barcelona and had a lousy season with them... if he was SO OLD AND AWFUL as you say, wouldn't that carry on into the games? Sure his game against Romania wasn't that great (it was decent beyond the one major mistake), but his game against France is seeing him get back to his original form.

Be happy about him because suddenly when he starts playing with his old teammates like Pirlo he gets way better... and I'm sure he'll play even better with Nesta... HE IS WORLD CLASS. Nothing less.

Management hasn't lied to anyone. I don't see them stopping from acquiring players. And this win is a major boost for calcio italiano.

i'm tired of your responses? in WHAT way did i bash zambrotta?! SERIOUSLY?! point it out to me. I think hes world class. All i said is he is 31. THERE HAVE BEEN LIKE 2 fb's i can think of who were world class beyond 32-33...maldini and zanetti (who plays more midfield anyway these days).

ITS A MORE THAN REASONABLE QUESTION TO BRING UP THAT HES A TEMPORARY FIX LIKE RONALDO AND ODDO WERE.

edit: seriously read whats posted before you attack it.

ITALIANS LAST LONGER AS PLAYERS. Don't you get it? Zambrotta has 5-6 years left in him I think... hell look at Costacurta. Or Maldini that's still there. He is WORLD CLASS FLAT OUT. Realize with how player treatment has improved in the last few years, especially Italians, can last longer until their late 30s. Maybe they'll retire from the national team like Maldini, but they can continue playing at respectable rates.

Be very happy we got him! He's no temporary fix. He's a fix that will be there for years to come. Temporary fix...? Are you joking?

Nope. He's going to play with Milan at least 5 seasons.
