that really suits Milan imho, Utd prefer to take teams back to OT for the 2nd leg..

Utd are being overestimated here a bit (which is funny because its usually us English being accused of bias in favour of English sides ) Chelsea and Liverpool are both very much more tactically adept and more suited to European football, Roma got hammered because they foolishly took Utd on in an English style game but Milan wont make that mistake.

The man of the match on Uefa.com is always a player that scores or contributes offensively. For me, the man of the match was Nesta but Uefa never picks defenders or goalkeepers. Most of the time it's the player with the game winning goal.

The whole team was outstanding today, Bravisimo Carlo, Great Coach
Ambro, Rino and Pirlo pretty much destroyed everything bayern was trying to create.

The whole defense + Dida played really well and so did the midfielders. Some people might underrate Pippo, but lose your sight at him for a second and you're doomed. Kaka should've killed the match with the 3rd goal, but all in all he played superbly.

Right on Stezagud, I just had the same conversation with a friend of mine who LOVES Manchester. He thinks that Manchester is sooo much better just because of the result yesterday........and I tried to explain to him that Spaletti's and the players' inexperience in these 2-headed games is what made Man look that good. Yes they played a great game, but if those two teams play again today......the score will be very very tight because Spaletti knows what he did wrong. Milan is Milan and we will close the midfield so tight that Manchester won't have that kind of space like against Roma. Nesta is no Chivu and he won't fold under pressure like the Romanian.
It's going to be a great match up but I think that if there is any Italian team that could represent Italy the best in the CL...it has to be Milan. I believe we will get to the final although it will be tough against Manchester.

considering i only made my prediction of this match to Warro in a private conversation yesterday evening ... i think i've been quite fair about it. Plus i wanted to get in before Kui starts his 'I told you so' speeches

Dida was schooled in the first leg by VanB, but returned the favor tenfold today. Did anyone see that big hug he got from Maldini after the match?

I absolutely agree. Great performance by Nesta. He should be MoM, IMO.

Exactly, Milan strength is in controlling the pace of the game. The last time milan met Man U, they can't even score a goal or dare i say not even any meaningful chances was created. Milan didn't roll over Man U but after the games, most man U fans were convinced Milan is superior than Man U.

As long as Oddo play a good defensive game, we can keep Man U at bay while doing our business up front. We beat Man U previously due to our superior MF and i hope Gourcuff can convince ancelotti to play him cos with him beside Pirlo and gatusso, we can easily take control of the MF.
