This team has no legs for winning CL... but we do have a chance for the scudetto... IF Galliani finds two players in the winter - FB and a 3rd cB... If Milan is able to pay for Coantrao and a good 3rd CB ( possibly a player that can play as a RB also...) we'll have a team that can play for the scudetto... Yes, I think 3rd quality CB is also needed. We always got problem when one of our CB (Nesta or Maldini two years ago, Nesta or Thiago Silva). For some years we didn't have a CB that could step in when one of our main CBs was absent. The effect was really huge. We started loosing and couldn't win when Nesta out last season. Or a year before when Nesta couldn't play a single game and Thiago didn't have permit until Maldini retired. Fortunately Favalli did well to partner with Maldini in that time but still not enough quality for a usual Milan.

Lacking of good fullbacks make our defence worse if one of our best two CBs is out.

Like mrki said, the 3rd CB could be player who can also play as fullback. It's actually still ok if we have only one good attacking fullback with the other one is defensive minded or good at attacking. The problem right now is that we have nothing on the right side (no one can be good in attacking or in defensive duties) and on the left one we have a player that can be helpful on attacking (actually not great fullback) but weak defensively. So, Nesta alone can't handle all pressures towards penalty kick area.

We should give some time to Sokratis, but I agree that a Nesta, Thiago Silva, New CD, Sokratis roster is better than Nesta, Thiago Silva, Sokratis, Yepes/Bonera/... !!

I agree with you Geotav. I also like to wait for more games from Sokratis. What I told above is only the current condition we have and we had: we don't have quality CB who can step in to hold the task of absent CB of our best CB (Nesta, Thiago or Nesta/Maldini a years ago).

I do hope Sokratis can turn to be that player but it would be better if we have like some years ago, a good CB who can play as left back aka Maldini. I am not saying we have to find player like Maldini but more like that we have 3 quality CBs (Nesta, Stam and Maldini). By my view, it is better to have David Luiz as left fullback and optimize the right fullback for offensive one. Or at least we can have something like in 2002/2003 when we have Kaladze as fullback who can move forward and deliver good crossing (he was not great offensively but he offered things what fullback should give) and Simic as right fullback who delivered really little offensively but much defensively. Something like that. A strong defense!

I was Sokratis' biggest supporter here, I suppose... But I don't know, he didn't seem to adapt well with the team and especially the coach.

He is young, he has time ti improve, maybe he had to stay at Genoa for some more time and then move to a bigger club. I don't know if he will become a worldclass defender but he has time to prove his worth.

First of all, welcome to MM, Sutn...

Regarding Sokratis, he had a rough time last week, but imo it's not fair to judge a player faith in November. The guy is young and need to be evaluated at the end of the season.

I know CB's and GK's feel the most the lack of starters minutes so, I have more patience with them... That said, he needs to step up(!!!) and show glimpses he belongs to a BIG club, fast!

I really hope he turns around, because we will need him...

Siregar, I respect bayern because he really watch Brazilian league, so he has the rights to express his opinion...Thats said, I strongly disagree with his Bruno Cesar opinion. Bruno is a good prospect, but FAR AWAY from Ganso's level. Far, far, far... is not even close... at least in my opinion.

Bruno is scoring a lot, no doubt... but he also shoots a lot!! Very selfish for my #10. I still can't say if Bruno is a #10 or a second striker. He score like a second striker(lacks speed), but stil didn't show he can be the "creator" of the team...

To make it short, imo the actual Bruno would be a flop at Milan, and compare him to Ganso is deadly wrong. One more time, thats my opinion...

EDITED:To be fair, I have to say Bruno is a amazing FK taker... and only in that area he's better than Ganso.

Seriosly, I hope Argentina give us a spank and this Ronaldinho in Brazil NT experiment(number 1000) finish, too. Even when he was the best player in the world, he never showed the same in Brazil NT. He always choke with the yellow shirt. Now I see pundits here in Brazil claiming he will be one of the three(above 23) called to the next Olympics... Can't believe this people forgot the poor job he did at the last olympics. Damn, I'm really mad at Menezes!!!

Brasiliero, if you were in charge of Milan's management, which Non-EU player would you sign in January? and which would you sign in June?

Consider the situation as it is now. Think of what positions we need the most and think of the contract situations at Milan.

From the names above, there's no doubt in my mind in January it would be Jucilei. I love Ganso, Neymar, Hernanes(and imo Coentrão could be coached to become a great offensive fullback), but I can't see we signing them in January.

Plus, Jucilei would bring muscle, quality, power and pace for a mid full of one-dimensional and old legs. Puting him at one of the sides of our mid, would provide more security to our defense because he can really help the offense up front(no need to a offensive FB bombing forward every time) and also help the FB on defense.

Thats make me remember of a talk here with Geo about Neymar development in Brazil... Jucilei is a guy that I want out of Brazil, fast!!! He would not improve more here(unlike Neymar and Ganso). The guy is at his best as a box-to-box player, and here he's used mostly to defend. A waste of talent...

Regarding June, thats is a tough one...

I can't see Lazio selling Hernanes if they grab a Champions League spot. Plus, since he will be a Serie A player(no more a non-EU for Serie A Teams), his price will be HIGH.

Imo, Neymar is more talented than Ganso(and thats says something), but at the same time we already have Robinho, Ibra and Pato. Since we can't possible have everyone, the logical choice would be Ganso. We really miss a maestro since Pirlo can't do it anymore(bar 5 games in a season), and Ganso would fit great.

Ganso and Giuliano in june for our #10 shirt, and I would be really hyped for our next season.
