I think "big-bang" technology is for 2-stroke engines, how come it is applied to a 4-stroke engine?
No, Idan. Honda bikes are faster than Yamaha in straight line. It was Rossi who pushed to brake so so late.

Early this season i tought that Ducati could be faster but i don't know yet what's happening to them. 4-stroke engine is not "new" for them, as they did it great in World Superbike Championship.

Dutch TT MotoGP - The Race

what a race by The Doctor!!!

Overall, that was (yet again) another battle for 2 riders, Rossi and Gibernau. and on podium also the same persons as we got at Catalonian MotoGP. 2 YAMAHAs and 1 HONDA.

Rossi did a clever job, sticking to Gibernau until the last lap then he overtook Gibernau and kept his lead to the chequered flag. He knew that his YAMAHA YZR-M1 couldn't beat HONDA RC211V so he did that manuver lately in the race then Gibernau would never have a chance to chase him.

Credit also given to Marco Melandri, Rossi's Italian mate, winning the battle over (poor) Biaggi and Checa.

I also feel sorried for Alex Barros, the Brazilian rider did a great job but that solo-accident has burried his dream.

Gibernau was complaining to himself, Gio.
He should blame himself for letting Rossi took the inside line in that curve. and it was too bad that he crashed his front-wheel cover onto Rossi's rear-wheel.

Stunning performance by Rossi and also Melandri. It's great to watch them both celebrating victory by doing tire-burning together.

don't worry, Lorenzo. whatever the position he started, Rossi wil win.

and Kenny Roberts is the son on Kenny Roberts Sr. from USA. He rides Suzuki. Kenny won the world champion title in 2000.

OMG, Rossi slid from his YZR-M1 on 13th lap. and Gibernau crashed earlier in the race.
what a dramatic race, both championship leaders were crashed-out!! Tamada won, he took away the lead from Biaggi in the last 2 laps.

Final Result:
1. Tamada
2. Biaggi
3. Hayden
4. Capirossi
5. Barros
6. Edwards
7. Kenny Roberts
8. Abe
9. Nakano
10. Checa

you're right. Gio.. seems like Yamaha bikes weren't suitable for that track. Rossi went wide oftenly and powerless in the straight line. at least he's doing fine after that slide.
and yet again, Biaggi couldn't win even Rossi and Gibernau were out.

MotoGP is very generous. There will be 15 riders to get points in each race.

here's the order:
1st = 25 pts
2nd = 20 pts
3rd = 16 pts
4th = 13 pts
5th = 11 pts
6th = 10 pts
7th = 9 pts
8th = 8 pts
9th = 7 pts
10th = 6 pts
11th = 5 pts
12th = 4 pts
13th = 3 pts
14th = 2 pts
15th = 1 pt
