He's quality..we'll complain not to have signed him in years to come. He's a cracking player, but i think his price is very high.

Btw he was discovered in a small pitch in Malta..Franco, one day could be your chance to play for ...Juve

Wow..fiorentina bought Bojinov & Pazzini..it could become fierce attack with Miccoli already there..
well, maybe this is the best option as he wasn't bought by our closest rivals or stupid chelsea..still think Gila is the best option for us..waiting for summer market to open..

big surprise in my opinion thought he go to a bigger club if he was to leave and didnt think he would leave until the summer.

I have a feeling that this thread become very active again some time in 2006-07 as i dont see him staying at fiorentina that long

report from www.channel4.com

Fiorentina land £10m Bojinov Monday 31 January, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The transfer window has closed with a bang after Fiorentina signed Lecce starlet Valeri Bojinov.

The Viola netted the teenager after their bid of £9.3m, plus Chilean midfielder Jaime Andres Valdes, was accepted by the Via Del Mare outfit.

The switch comes as a major surprise as Lecce had recently insisted that the Bulgarian would remain with them until the end of the season.

Bojinov’s destination is also a shock given that Chelsea and Palermo were understood to be leading the chase for his signature.

The 18-year-old, who was also being watched by Barcelona, Milan and Juventus, is one of the most exciting prospects in Italian football after a splendid season so far.

The international striker, who made his Serie A debut at the age of 15, has netted 11 League goals this term.

Fiorentina had been looking for a new forward since the window opened, having shown an interest in Lazio's Roberto Muzzi, Julio Cruz of Inter, Liverpool's Milan Baros and Bernardo Corradi of Valencia.

Bojinov becomes the club's third signing of the day after the arrivals of midfielder Marco Donadel from Milan, via Sampdoria, and Atalanta attacker Gianpaolo Pazzini.

True, but if he stays there for 4 years, remember by that time Sheva will be looking at the dusk, pipo retired and Milan in need of some new talent up front. He will only be 22 then!!!! Still a child in the game!!!

Then he could be a fluke. Like I said in another thread, he still got a lot to prove. The best thing Milan can do is build a laison type of relationship with him. As in the same fashion we have done with Shevchenko and Kaka. We could have gotten them a lot sooner but it's sorta like an insurance wait and see kind of policy Milan appears to have. That way when he's convinced Milan without a doubt, we'll hopefully be on the top of his list.
Bojinov realistically made the right decision for himself. He knows the reality of not playing a starting role in Milan. Thats the worse thing that can happen to a player. Not enough playing time because the team was still yet too big for his boots. Let him grow and develope more opening himself up on a test drive. It's very rare to have A Maldini start like that so young and become so great. Maldini and a very few others are a rare exception. The other great players have gone the way of Bojinov.
