I guess its to be expected that a discussion of Berlusconi will go into politics, but I am posting ONE MORE TIME to remind everybody not to insult and do your best not to reply if one insults you. If there is a problem contact a mod/admin privately and allow these things to be dealt with there and not posts on a thread.

This kind of thing has been happening too many times recently.

How sad.

It's true Berlu took over at a low point (although much improved since the days of relegation) but he didn't just buy any club. We'd not be where we are today without Berlu, but do not mistake, we're historically a Giant domestically and internationally.

Pre-Berlusconi we won more than Lazio, Fiorentina and Napoli have won until this date all of them put together. Give them another 20 years and I'm sure they'll not have caught up on that record. It's insulting to our history to be under the impression that everything stands or falls with one man.

First of all HAPPY NEW YEAR and PEACE be with you all, in favour and against Berlusconi.

Milan through out all the years without Berlusconi were the 3rd best in Italy, and the MERDA had a better track record than us.

Milan with Berlusconi as a president are the best in the world.

The step from the 3rd best in Italy to the best of the world is so huge that Milan nearly doubled (if not already doubled) the amount of trophies won in these last 18 years over the other 80 years (or how much) of history.

How can I be Against Berlusconi or worst HATE HIM as a Milan fan? The man has not only money, but he has BRAINS. He is so brainy that built his empire from scratch. He has vision. He sees things before his competitors. As regard to politics, I admire him as he built a party from scratch and becomes the biggest party in Italy and won the elections on his first run. For me this is another issue that proofs that he is genius and knows how to sell his product. But on political content I am not going to comment as this is a football forum and also it doesn't interest me. (I am not Italian and this is something specific for them)

PLEASE do not mix Politics with Football. I can not only understand someone who is against him in Politics, but I say it is important for democracy, as by different views politics grow healthier.

But as Milan's President, it is not logical for me that a Milan fan do not like him or worst hate him, when he is the best president MIlan ever had. Why wishing a change when you are on top.

When he bought Milan, he used to go to the stadium with a helicopter and a lot of bombasty. On his first meeting with the players he told them that he wants to built Milan as the best team in the world playing spetacular football, but nobody took him so seriously as Milan were a modest team in that time.
He also was the first to start building a large squad, Milan A and Milan B to compete successfully in both domestic and Champions league. At first he was very criticised, but later he was copied. He kept all his promises.

Milan were corrupt under Josy Farina as president and were relegated. The next season were promoted again as Champions of serie B. Back in serie A were relegated again as our team was mediocre.

I've been supporting Milan for over 36 years now. These last 18 years were Golden, but I cannot say the same for the other years I remember. And I'm sure that most of the people who remember quite well the period Pre-Berlusconi agree with me.

When Berlusconi goes (hope it will not happen in my time)
Milan continues to exist with all the ups and downs we had before, but to stay in the same standard as we had been in these last 18 years will not be guaranteed anymore, as successful persons as Berlusconi are not so common.

I am not insulting our history, I am telling FACTS.

nobody here said he hates him unless if it has to do with politics. as a milan prez everyone loves him including myslef... but his political presence makes me hate him.

by the way, just cuz he has brains and money doesnt mean i have to like him.

I am happy that you love him as a president of Milan.

And because he has Brains and money means he has all the ingredients to be the best president, so my logical says to be happy and proud to have the best successful president managing your favourite team.

As regarding HATE, I hate nobody. Hate is a very strong word.
I don't hate politicians which I do not agree with.
As I said before, It is important to have different opinions in a democracy, and I respect my political rivals very much although I do not agree with their beleives, as they are also serving my country in the best way they could, the same as my Party which I supports.

I think it is better to leave politics away from this forum, simply because politics and religion divide people if they are not very well matured, whilst football and Milan makes us UNITED.

Well............I'll be honest.
I never liked him. But he did the greatest things for my club. For that I am thankful to him.
I only hope that someone equally shrewd but not as sleazy as him succeeds him.

Milan was a great club even before Berlusconi was President. It was a great club while he was President. And it will remain a great club after he steps down.

By the way, who is going to succeed him?

i am not going to around looking through old posts and "poiining" out what you did and didn't do. you know what you did and it's up to interpretation. i have no time to go through old posts lol.

Can you two stop arguing all the time. You say you won't reply to each others posts and then you do!!!!

tbh, I'm shocked both of you haven't been banned by now anyway, never mind both of you asking mods to ban the other.

Both of you have made personal attacks at each other, as well as threatened each other!

Both of you, just SHUT UP!!! Your leaving the mods/admins with no choice but to end up banning both of you. STOP replying to each others post (if thats what it takes) and just drop the argument!!!

Enough really is enough.

My apologies to everyone here at MM. I'm a very patient person, I guess I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and hope that people will figure out how we post here without having to give some sort of lecture about "how we do things here." Sometimes it works, sometimes people "get it" and fit right in. Unfortunately sometimes we also run into those who prefer to use these forums as their own personal playground, taking potshots at anyone they please no matter what is said, no matter how many times they are asked to simply STOP. mk18 and shevaandkaka' have been barred for one month b/c of their actions and attitudes.

Debs,

I do not blame you for putting these two members on a one month's probation. We all argue our points (sometimes in an agressive way) and that is expected in an open forum.

Yet cursing and threatening should not be allowed.

A couple of weeks ago (on December 19) user shevaandkaka' posted in Turkish an obscene and curse-filled post in an argument with user Cengiz. I know enough of the language from my years in Turkey to understand every filthy implication (it involves mothers, body parts, rapes, etc.etc). It is noteworthy that shevaandkaka' chose to write in a foreign language and thought no one would understand its meaning. Please feel free to have it translated if you wish - and prepare yourself for a shock.

May I recommend you erase this December 19 post completely for it is a filthy shame and does not belong on Milanmania. In addition, you may warn this user not to post curses in any language after he returns from probation.

I know I do not wish to read any of shevaandkaka' posts or opinions in the future. Something tells me I speak for other members as well.

Thank you for your support Josh. And please help us by sending a PM to one of the mods if you find posts that are offensive or generally out of order.

We are all working hard at making Milan Mania the best forum online
