One player that was linked to Milan last week, and I will love to see in our team(more than Sneidjer) is Tiago Motta.
The problem is that he´s injure prone...but, I was thinking, after saw 4 or 5 Barca players injured every year, maybe isn´t Motta fault??? Who knows...even Barça players are bashing the trainners/doctors of the club...
I saw also an rumor in a Barcelona periodic(Sport), that Barca will make a bid for Chivu. Poor guy, if he´s injure prone now, imagine in Barcelona

I mean, we got Kaka and Gila, great, bravo, well done to milan board, but why dont they get other players with potential like them? I dont understand.. Sneijder is no where like Kaka, Kerlon, Aguero or Messi.. He's simply another Seedorf.. i'd prefer Ariel Robben (who was reported having probs with chelsea) over SNeijder ANYDAY..
The reason why we dont go for too many young players is that we are AC Milan and we demand success every season....something that experienced players can help more with. The only yongstres we buy are top of the class, as you stated Gila and Kaka. They are world class players, b4 they got to Milan, we have just made them better.

If milan bought all young players, a few people on here would be rapt, but if results dont go our way, i wonder how many would still defend that policy?
Milan dont have 'time' to give so many youngsters an opportunity to shine here....when you come to Milan, you make an impact straught away. How many youngsters has Milan loaned out that have actaully come back and played for us lately, i cant remember many if any. It all gets back to the level of success the club and its supporters expect every season. Let Parma and the like give them experience, let us buy then when they are about to become world class.

My thing is going for a mix of players. Young and experienced, like we have at the moment. Well, thats what i think anyway....buy the best of the best of the young guys and buy players who are developing into world class players that Milan can develop that bit further to make them World Class.

Ofcourse i dont mind buy a whole team of youngsters like Arsenal, i mean, like buy a whizkid such as Aguero, who is going to be one of the football greats no doubt, once in a while.. we got Kaka, thats great.. i congratulate them, but this does not mean we should sit back and just let our competitors get the new younger and better players.. i really think we should at least put in an effort, and maybe, just maybe, we can get players of these calibre for cheap

As Zlatanov said Ballack isnt going to be free. If everyone seems fine with Ballacks age then whats the problem with Juniinhio who coers more of the pitch anyway.

In Ballack's case, "free" meant - before Chelski got involved - investing in him 30 mil on wages. Now that Roman is in the picture - and both sides have proclaimed their admiration of one another - that sum went up to more than 40 mil (45 mil I think) as Chelski are likely to make Ballack one of the highest paid players not only in England but in the world.
juninho would cost around 18M today... if essien was sold at around 30 (which is still dont understand)

Essien was sold for twice his market price and that was only because Chelski got involved, that's why it is hard to fathom. Plus he is a good player with most of his career before him.
JP is 30 yo now, probably closing in on 31 and no player of such age other someone like Sheva or Dinho would cost that much. Plus a player costs as much as the highest bid. That's why I said that if he is more than 8-10 mil, Milan won't even bother negotiating for him as he would be more of a short-term replacement for Rui, unlike Kaka, whose best is yet to come.
My guess is that the only way this could be done is if JP himself asks Lyon to sell him to Milan, he's been there for quite some time now, there is a good chance they may try to satisfy his wish. Otherwise it won't be a deal that Milan will find financially attractive.

PLease don't ever use the word defend together with gerrard. he can't defend for nuts, he can't even make a decent tackle, the most is on par with pirlo, no more. he can run around and create problems for opponents but seriously i am NEVER impressed by Gerrard.

Lampard is not bad but again ain't impressed by him enough to pay the big money.

these 2 are "jack of all trade but master of none". i would take Diarra over them anyday. Diarra cover the midfield like gatusso and can make very solid tackles. I am rather impressed by Diarra and hope that he can come here. we don't need Sneijder to replace rui costa cos pirlo can play in that place when needed and other players like vogel or ambro take his place in MF. i also think that its amazing crazy to get a young player to sit on the bench, they need to play regularly to improve.

In last years CL final, how many times did Milan exploit Gerrard when he was put in at right back? I honestly dont remember (its a game i've tried to forget ) but i dont remember Serginho getting past him once. Imho Gerrard would probably make a world class right back if he was put in that position on a permanent basis, it wont happen of course as Liverpool prefer to have him winning games for them at the other end of the pitch...

gee ... that sounds like a statement from someone who watches him regularly

Gerrard is as physical and imposing as Diarra is, just ask most of the teams and players that come up against him. There isn't much else he can do to impress the likes of you hwmook, he can pass the ball as good as most in the game, he runs for the entire match, he has a shot like a mule, has scored nearly 20 goals as a midfielder this season and can play very well in a number of positions ! The only thing he can't really do is dribble, aside from that he'd be a major asset to any team.

I agree Gerard isnt a defensive midfielder, but hes one of the best tacklers in the game. Hes a box to box player like Seedorf except more explosive. hes only about 25 aswel. He would fit into Milan either side of Pirlo perfectly.

gee...can't you see he is in my "players i would never like" list? watch too many games when he is so useless.
