Torres has talent,no doubt...but this kid is a choker!!! He don´t make the IMPORTANT goals for Atlético(besides against Barça), and I really doubt that Torres will randle the pressure of to play for Milan.
Like Sneidjer, I realy don´t see nothing special in Maxi Rodrigues game. If we want a young argie mid, go to Lucho Gonzales of Porto!! 3 times better than Maxi...

I agree with you, especially about Torres. I think he is a choker too. I don't know this Gonzales guy who is 3 times (are you sure? that would be pretty impressive) better than Maxi Rodrigues since the latter one was really fine to me.

We probably should prepare ourselves for some noises from many Torres lovers in MM

Gonzales was a starter in Bielsa era...and after saw both playing several times, IMO Lucho is 3 times better, no doubt.
I´m glad to have you in my side in Torres war, Xudong

No problem about that. Let's fight some wars together. Recently there have been quite a few battles in MM, maybe people are really tensed watching WC. Lucky for me, China is not even good enough to play in it, but I do support Italy for the record, and followed by Brazil because of Kaka, Cafu, Dida and Serginho (I am sure that he is ok with that )

Another reason that I don't like Torres so much is that every summer he had been rumored to join us, and every time there was nothing. That has been almost EVERY single summer since he was like 16 or 17?

I just hate that annoyance. Just cough up the money you owed us (23M euro?), and stop playing games. I hate their guts. I don't think Torres is worth so much money, his three goals (?) in WC proved nothing to me. If he can only bully small teams, that is what we need. Even if he was good by any chance, I don't rate him either as long as he is not one of us. I love every player in Milan and them only.

Guys, don't forget Torres is only 22, relatively still a kid!!! You can't expect him to carry the team at that age...

And he has only been playing for a small relatively small team at Atl.Madrid.

So coming to Milan is his step up, same case as Gila... they will improve and hopefully be at their top when they are 25 or so...

Not everyone is a Kaka...

The issue at hand here is that Milan expects players to 'carry the team at that age' when he is 22. Yes, Milan expects Kaka` types of players to join IN ORDER TO be a regular first-team player.

One difference between Gila and Torres is simply that Gila has scored goals, in Italy. That makes a lot of difference in terms of the 2 strikers. Notice, I'm not saying that gila is >>> Torres; I'm simply stating the fact that Gila CAN score in Italy while Torres is a gamble.

But of course, no gamble, no gain~.

Yeah, must agree that Torres is unproven in Italy, and with so many Spaniards failing badly, i can understand why many wouldn't want to take that gamble...

But torres has the talent, and I personally would gamble on this kid... Just as Milan gambled on Kaka... The Kaka at Sao Paolo (am i correct?) isn't the same Kaka at Milan, he improved after crossing over to Milan... and taking Gre-No-Li's words, i'm predicting he will be 'Simply Devasting'...

But i'm not Carlo or Berlu... so i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Kaka is a Brazilian and was one of the best in the Brazilian League at that. You will have a hell of a time naming one single brazilian who didn't make it in Italy. Also Kaka cost us less than 10 mil (8.5 I think) which is peanuts next to Torres' pricetag.
At the same time, it would be even harder to name one single spaniard who didn't totally disappoint in Italy.
I would also gamble on Torres but for about 20-25 mil , although even that's pushin it, because that's money most of which we could get back by selling him to Real M or Barca. But it would be a pure gamble and would do it only because it's not my money
as for whether he will make it in Italy, I think Spain's game vs France was a very clear indication of what would happen if he were to come. That was the one serious, well organized team he had to face at the WC (Ukraine were simply not themselves in that game) and he was totally nullified and taken out of the game. In fact, and I am not kidding, there were periods when I forgot that he was even playing.
With every new player there is a risk but when one player's price is 40 mil euros, his pedigree is that of players, who fail in Italy, and who is great against joke-defences but invisible vs serious teams, I don't think I could call that a measured risk but pure gambling.
But let's wait and see.

Milan isn't going to be relegated. The club is only charged under Article 1 and relegation is not a possible penalty.

As for Torres, he is an unfinished product, but maybe a diamond in the rough. Atletico wants far too much for him, but he is the style of player Milan needs to fill Sheva's role and he could develop into a great one. I'm not too worried about the Spanish players not succeeding in Serie A thing. All players are individuals. You can't just lump them all together.
