Except your talking a load of ****e again
![]() Kuyt has come over with a proven record in Holland but not in England, he could go the way of Ruud and score goals a plenty or the way of Kezman and forget how to put the ball in the net. The jury is out on him and he has to prove himself now, nobody is saying he is one of the best in the world ![]() As for Ballack, he's been extremely highly rated here for a long time, since his Leverkusen days before moving to Bayern and his reputation was cemented at the world cup in 2002 where he dragged Germany to the final. He has been in the press here constantly for over a year, mainly being linked with Utd, Real and Chelsea. So its harldy like people have just noticed him ![]()

If Liverpool didn't improve then yes, that would be worrying. But when you have 6 players in the side that are either new to the team, new to the premiership or haven't played alot of football for the club in 6-12 months, then it's pretty easy to see how they wouldn't produce 'great' football. Arsenal will be fine no doubt, but can they vary their tactics enough to get past teams ? This is their problem. That and seeing how they'd cope with an out of form or injured Henry, who would score the goals then ? I live near Reading so i know a bit about them and i think if they can toughen up defensively, they have the strikers that can score the goals to keep them up.

to your second point: I don't watch both teams enough, so I won't make any comment. All I say is that if Liverpool didn't have Gerrard (let's say got injured), then what? Will it be the same thing? I think what Arsenal did well against their opponent is that they have been passing around the ball more fluently. Actually, Liverpool did so too, especially after they were down 1-0. Of course, I'm not happy with the way they got the penalty. Anyway, I thought they could have scored another goal easily because Sheffield United looked so tired on the field. I told my gf that Liverpool was definitely going to score because SU is just getting worse and worse and they couldn't sustain till 90minutes. It happened, only through a quite-controversial call. Reading: They are very strong even in FM. My S. Wednesday got kicked by them first time in the season: 5-1. -.-! |

Last season i would have been worried if Liverpool didn't have Gerrard at some point Jeff. However, this season with the new players, i think there is enough there to get past teams. Assuming the other players are near the top of their game.
It was a controversial call, but the defender did enough to stop Gerrard getting a clean strike on goal so maybe it's justified in that sense. The worst call though had to be for Watford, the ball struck Powell in the face and Everton were given a penalty ! What's even worse was that Cahill was less then 1 yard away claiming a penalty, what a cheat ! Say the ball did strike his arm there, i don't see how the Ref can say that Stubb's hand ball was accidental but Powell's would have been deliberate. Cruel on Watford, especially when Johnson's shot was going miles wide before it took a deflection and looped in. Still, we're kind of off topic here, back to Arsenal ![]()

i think Arsenal had a good game , they are unlucky not to convert possesion into a goals, and i think Walcott had good debut by changing the game when he came on, he needs time and experience,he has big future ahead of him

I heard that Chelsea are offering gallas swap exchange for ashley Cole which IMO it will be bad deal, and it's not likely to happen

As it looks like Milan aren't going to bother bidding for him, it would appear that Gallas' only escape route out of his Chelsea nightmare is to head across London to the Gunners.
I guess it's the lesser of two evils for him if he genuinely doesn't want to stay in the Premiership. Alongside the newspaper reporting the Gallas & Cole swap, another paper is saying that Chelsea will let Gallas 'rot' in the reserves for the entire season. So who knows what to believe. Something i did find amusing was Chelsea apparently offering Arsenal £2 million + Gallas for Cole ... i mean why on earth would Arsenal except that deal ! They want £25 million for Cole, so are you really telling me Chelsea value Gallas at £23 million ? Some things are just beyond belief.

Arsenal did make a bid for Gallas, Wenger has confirmed this with some reports saying it was only £5 million. I guess that was a 'stand alone' bid rather than having any connection with Cole.
