We can also win even if Inter plays better then us and we score an offside goal in 92nd minute from Pippo Inzaghi

Well that would be something!

Milan indeed play better under pressure...while Inter tend to self-destruct.

Further, there is more at stake for us than for them, so I think we will be the more attacking side, while they will look to attack on the counter.

Another thing in our favor are the stats...we are due a victory at this point.

We will win though, bottom line.

FORZA MILAN!!

Just out of curiosity, what time will the game be in your country ? This is just for non europeans..Sometimes i realise that many of you wake up in the middle of the night in the only off day of the week available to get some rest...

Gio, for instance right now it's 5:30 pm your time, but only 8:30 am here in California...
so it's not rare that I have to get up at 6:00 am on Sunday to watch the game, although sometimes we're lucky that the game is played in the evening (Milano time) which is around Noon time here...

8:00 AM here Gio. I really don't mind, and actually prefer getting up early for the games against Reggina, Livorno, etc, but the derby should be a night match. The atmosphere just isn't the same, and I can tell that sitting on my couch thousands of kilometers away.

Yes, that is why I had my wild day yesterday and not on saturday as usual...so I can be rested to jump, shout and scream at 15:00 tommorow.

I believe this will be our lineup:
------------kalac-----------
bonera--nesta-kaladze-jankulovski--
-----------pirlo-------
---gattuso---ambrosini------
-----kaka'----seedorf-------
----------inzaghi---------

subs that can acutally be usefull: well... Pato.

We now have rested team, with Bonera playing well. Only if Carlo doesnt do something crazy and puts Oddo on the RB our defence should look ok, with normally Marek playing and NOT Favalli. If Favalli starts we can say goodbye becouse there is no way he can play againstr Zanetti/Maicon.

This lineup is STRONg and we can win for sure, but we need to give our all. Inter is missing Ibra, Samuel, Cordoba, Figo...

Carlo has said in the pre-match interview we'll see the same lineup as Livorno. No Janku I'm afraid Mrki.

With Favalli on the left we cannot win it.

nah i dont think Carlo will let nor Janku or Favalli play, Favalli is just... awful, and Janku lacks match fitness..

if he knows that he'll probably put Oddo on the right and Bonera on the left..

Kalac
Oddo Nesta Kaladze Bonera
Gattuso Pirlo Ambro
Kaka Seedorf
Inzaghi

if inzaghi is on form i dont expect pato to come in untill the end, somewhere in the 70 mins mark...
if Inzaghi fails to score, Pato will come in and we'll change our system to 4-3-1-2 or keep the christmas formation...

match of the day IMO, if not of the season!

I think everything will be absolutely beautiful today. I think we will play a good match and win by a few goals, and I think this team will show its true star quality when it's needed the most.
Let's not forget that this is a team made up of some of the most successful players in the history of European football. We are going to be fielding a team full of World Cup winners today. They are excellent footballers, and when they have the right mentality they are overwhelmingly good as a team. That is why every last fan needs to support Milan 100% today, and have no fear of Inter, and certainly no respect for them.

Oddly I feel confident ahead of this match. In fact, I haven't felt this confident in years, so certainly much to feel positive about.

I feel there's a few things at stake here. Not only CL spots, as well as pride, but also a footballing philosophy. Inter are the epitome of the modern European game, where technical quality is less important than athleticism (and it shows in their uninspiring style of play). Milan are one of few teams (along with Roma) in Italy that still looks to play with great technique, and though we have been inconsistent this season, when we succeed we play some of the most beautiful football in the world. Roberto Baggio and Seedorf are just two who have condemned the state of European football and the direction it's taken and I am also in agreement that the modern game isn't headed in a good direction if it continues down this path of athleticism above technical skills. Therefore, I think it's important that clubs like Milan, Roma, Arsenal, Barca and Man Utd continue to succeed over the likes of Inter, Chelsea and Liverpool.

For me, our victory today will be a victory for technical football, and a small step forward in bringing the beauty back into the beautiful game. The players we've been linked to until now, such as Flamini, Zambrotta and especially Ronaldinho show that we intend to remain a technical side, which is important for the game and a big part of the reason why people like me have gained a love for the Italian game rather than the English.

For me, this is an important match in this regard as well as all the others.

FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
